Of course I bought one. It has since been used many many times and I can say that it's one of the best kitchen items I've ever owned. It's worth having a quick browse in here. Staff are very helpful and they always seem to have at least a few items on sale.

There is a wine tasting and visitor's centre in front of the dining room, and a private art gallery/museum at the back. I don't think the Chateau makes their own wine as there is a large range of Barossa wines for tasting and selling there. The visitor's centre sells a lot of souvenirs but not necessary made locally or by local craftsmen. The art gallery/museum shows a mish mesh of what the original Chateau owner collected 2 centuries ago. There was crystals, tables and chairs, paintings, dinner sets, vases, clockes etc. There was 2 big tour groups, including ours, on Sunday. The meal was basic, chicken salad with frittata, with bread and roasted potatoes. For the vegetarian in our group, they replaced the chicken with an extra piece of frittata. I definitely tasted much better lunch than what we had there.
