I need a laundromat that opens on Sunday. Pablo was super nice and helpful. And apparently, lots of…read morefamous people has came here as well. I didn't have enough cash on me so he started the machines for me that way I can go to the ATM to pull out cash. (The ATM is just a door down). He provided the detergent and was super friendly. I would totally come again. The price is super reasonable as well. £5 for the washer and £1 per 8 minutes for the dryer.

I had an off day on tour and had to get laundry done. I have been traveling for about 3 weeks and…read morewas last able to wash my clothes in Maui. I did the old Google search and Pablo's jumped off of the page with great reviews. How could I resist? An added bonus was the it was very close to our hotel. I grabbed my laundry bag, slung it over my shoulder, and headed towards Pablo's. Upon entering, I sized up the place fairly quickly and the gentleman (Pablo, I'm guessing) approached me and he offered up the most efficient way to get my laundry done. Sadly, I had no British pounds (US dollars, Euros, and a handful of credit cards). The machines need British coins. He grabbed a bag of coins, deposited them into my machine, got my laundry going, and instructed me to go to the cash machine (literally 2 doors down) to pay for my laundry. I had 2 weeks of laundry, probably 8 or so kilos and the total for everything was 15 pounds. Not terrible at all! I spent most of my time looking at all of the pictures on the walls and reading the descriptions. The hospitality was as good as it gets. It is refreshing when you get to interact with someone who is great at what they do and is so personable. I can't say enough great things.

My poor wedding dress has already received a beating and will continue too... After the wedding…read morewedding (the actual day of the ceremony) which was boiling hot with intense sunshine all day and an outing at our wedding festival (probably the hottest day of the year), the dress definitely needed a clean before outing number 3 (a wedding garden party as run by my mother). Now, I don't look at labels when I buy clothes. It doesn't matter whether it's hand wash, dry clean or delicate; it all goes in the washing machine. A) Dry cleaning a whole bunch of clothes is expensive and B) I don't tend to buy pricey items (so don't mind if they don't last as long as they should). However, I had to make an exception for my wedding dress. I had spotted Emma S's review of Elite dry cleaning before and she had told me how they had done a magnificent job of getting a coffee stain out of a beige suit; so I figured it would be a good bet. Add that to the fact that it's just around the corner from us and convenience + recommendation = a winner. We hadn't realised that it's cash only initially, so that's a top tip for you! A dress costs £10 to dry clean and Dan got his suit done at the same time. They were perfectly helpful when we first went in (although we think they misheard our request for opening hours and we went back when it was closed) and the place was clean and tidy. Just what you want from someone taking care of treasured items. Dan took the items back to Elite when they were open and received the obligatory tickets. Everything was done in a couple of days and the collection process was just as easy as the drop off - swift and efficient. My dress is now clean, fresh and steamed; ready to come out and party again. I don't think Elite is the cheapest dry cleaner in town, but there isn't many places I would trust to look after my wedding outfit.

The service is good and if there is an issue, the manager is just over the road and comes over to help out. I've also taken in full duvet sets which cost £7 to get cleaned and ironed (4 pillowcases, 1 sheet and 1 duvet cover). A two piece suit is £9.50 which is reasonable. They are also able to do a quick turnaround so that's handy if you need something quickly. They also do other things like zip replacements (£6), which can be useful.
