This place is a hoot. Amazing stage and sound system. Fun drinks. Friendly staff. Tip big and they'll set off a siren for you!

Dare I even say it? Better than Bentleys! Why? Food...the menu is smaller but better. Love the pizza. Lobster Rolls are amazing too. Salads are great. Music...2 awesome stages with superior sound systems. They seem to feature best talent on the Seacoast, even on non-weekend nights. Atmosphere...friendly inside and out; The wrap around bar is huge. Big enough to accommodate large crowds but still small enough to feel cozy as hell. Love the patio... with full bar when the weather cooperates. Gregg...he is nice and always willing to chat; he is almost always there. a true sign of an owner who cares STAFF...the friendliest bartenders I have ever encountered in Maine. Not impressed. We went Sunday at 7:00 pm and were told the kitchen was closed. They are supposed to be open till 8. Their excuse? There were only a few people there. While the drinks are reasonable, the food is clearly made by someone who doesn't care. Terrible quality all around. The server was very negative and clearly overwhelmed as she was the only person for the whole establishment- and it was a very busy day! This is not a place I would recommend for anything more than a very brief pit stop. read more

My husband and I decided to try Iron Tales rather than stopping at McDonald's for lunch. This place was extremely clean and the food...well never have we had onion rings, fries, haddock and buffalo wings that were as good as these The batter was light! And scrumptious! Michelle our waitress was fabulous, very attentive! I would highly recommend this to everybody! My only regret is that we waited so long to try it. read more

I have to say our experience was great! So fun and absolutely worth the to 2+ hr drive from NH. Atmosphere was inviting, loved the outdoor patio, band playing and our food was excellent. Not frozen at all, as described in another review. Food was very fresh and delicious, we haven't stopped talking about how delicious our food was. Our chicken was juicy and the coleslaw was fabulous. I love good fresh coleslaw. The bartenders and all staff very friendly. Our experience is A+, food and experience A+. highly recommend the experience, definitely a very fun place to be. read more

It was our first time here on the first Saturday afternoon of their opening season. We drove 2 hours just to see the particular band playing. We just ordered apps but they were fresh cut fries and onion rings. Both very good. The food passing by looked just as good but we were not that hungry to order more. The band was amazing 12/OC. The biggest disappointment was the line to get a drink. At least 20-30 minutes standing in line waiting for your turn. People sitting at the bar had priority over people stepping up to the bar to place an order. I quickly learned why people we walking around with 2 or 3 drinks. They need a few more workers to cover the bar area. No waitresses. You order food in one line and pick it up when your buzzer goes off and drinks are ordered in another line. At the bar. It's a biker bar for sure. Nothing wrong with a biker bar but not usually a place I hang out at too often but we will go back. Overall it was a fun day. read more

Can I give less than 1 star? We've been twice and both times we left hungry. The first time, after waiting over 30 minute and seeing all of our friends food arrive, we found out they had only put our order in minutes before. Our party was ready to hit the road, so we had to forfeit our lunch. They had not been open long, so we chalked it up to the learning curve of a new establishment. The last time we went (Cinco de mayo, 2013), they stopped taking orders half way through our party, because they were "so backed up in the kitchen". We decided we would share our meals had been ordered, but after 30 minutes of waiting, none of the orders were even started. They advertised Taco's and other food for Cinco De Mayo, but could not deliver on the food (again). We were actually told they only serve food because the local law requires it (because they serve alcohol) . The atmosphere is kind of cool, but the service sucks. Don't waste your time.... drive 1.2 miles Northwest on 109 to Willies Ale Room. Great food and great service. Or head over to Bentley's.... they got it right. read more

Just had lunch there food took forever for a burger and dogs. Service sucked actually the barmaid never came to wait on us had to go to her,with only 3 people at the bar. Greg you need to get someone with a personally. No it wasn't Lori who always gave great service. read more

Soooooooooo, what had happened was, a lot of people I respect and care about told hubs and I that this joint was the sh... So, we finally went. Ok, here's the thing and I may sound like an ass but when someone tells you, "...they cook a steak...", first consider where the source's wealth of knowledge on steaks comes from. You don't need to be raised on Peter Lugars to know a good steak, Google it. But, this shit!!!! So, we ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail, $2/shrimp. Those were great, indeed jumbo and fresh. Nice horseradish cocktail sauce. However, let's dig into the rib eye, shall we. I'm not trying to drag a reputable business that obviously serves the community and is involved in local, community events. More power to you and God bless. But don't bullshit me on steak. This rib eye, which I ordered medium rare, was only grilled on one side. There was still ligament and tendon uncooked and a weird shade of pink. In my non professional opinion, I would say that steak never saw fire or a flat grill, but rather got microwaved and then top grilled, on high (crispy). I could be wrong but I doubt it. If you like it, great but in my opinion, if you want a good steak, pay the price and go elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a place to stop in for a drink and a bite while riding your hog and wearing your stars and stripes tank top, by all means do drop in. Very disappointed in service. Not acknowledged at all. Went for lunch with a couple from England and had to go to the bar to order our own drinks. So discouraged we left and went to Willy's . My wife and I went for a Sunday drive to Acton ME. A friend had recommended the Lobster roll for $5.99 at the Iron Tails Saloon. We walked up to the bar which had only two people sitting at one end drinking beer. There were 3 employees behind the bar. We sat there for a few minutes waiting for service. Another couple walked up to the bar and were waited on by a woman and one of the male servers. Again, we sat there patiently waiting for service. A woman walked up beside us with an empty glass and the other male server got her a glass of water. Still no one acknowledged us. It was like we were invisible. Finally I asked the woman and male server if we could get a couple of beers and as she sipped her Red Bull she replied: "In a minute" That was all I needed. I said forget it, I don't need a beer. and we left wondering what we did wrong. If that woman were my employee, she would be gone instantly. We usually spend on the average $50 to $75 for a lunch and a few beers. I can't imagine a business that is so secure that they can be rude and just blatantly ignore customers. Now that I have read other reviews I can see the pattern. I would like to hear what the owner thinks about this kind of service. That's the 1st and last time that I will grace their door. They need a bar Rescue! We ended up at the Springvale Publik House and enjoyed a very nice lunch in a friendly atmosphere. read more
