After another week without him telling us anything we texted him again and he took two more days to answer and told us that he was busy with other clients. My husband and I were in Dallas for a be-lated Valentine's weekend getaway and drove by the studio and it caught our eye. I looked up the studio and was impressed by the reviews. My husband and I had debated about getting a "pair" of tattoos for years and had just never done it. I decided to reach out and see what they could do for us. We were immediately impressed with the overall customer service we received and thrilled when they said they could take us on the spot. We could not be happier with the experience, the finished results, and our artist Chuie. We now have a "go-to" for all our future tattoo needs.

Disappointed in Follow-Up and Customer Care…read more I've been to this studio before and have spent a good amount here, so I expected better care. Yesterday, I went in to have my post shortened and was charged $35 just to switch the bar, which felt steep for a quick adjustment. I also purchased new jewelry for $120, bringing my total to $166 for that visit. Today, I called back because the post was still visibly poking out of my conch and felt uncomfortable. I asked if it could be shortened further, and was told I'd be charged again, due to a "shop fee and materials." That felt unreasonable, especially since it was clearly a follow-up to the service I had just paid for. I later spoke with Sarah, the piercer, who told me she had already given me the shortest post available (4.7mm). But then she said I'd need to come back in so she could inspect it to decide if it needed to be shortened further. That left me confused -- if 4.7mm is the shortest she has, what exactly would be the point of an inspection? At the end of the day, I left feeling disappointed and like I was being nickel-and-dimed. After spending $166, I expected a bit more care, flexibility, and follow-through. I won't be returning.

Ok so this place was soo hard to find lol. From their tik tok I got that they just moved to a new…read morelocation so I go the address from there and even google maps gave me the same address but there was no signage that a tattoo place even existed once I got there. The shop is located inside a business building, like a corporate looking building. Maps just brings you to this building but nowhere on the sign outside does it say tatoo shop. It was hard to find where the doors where and I keep driving in circles. I then went back to check the address and it gave me and address further up north 5 minutes away. It was a bad address and it took me to an industrial park, lol no tattoo shop there either. So I gave it one last go and it took me back to place number one. This time I circled the building in my car looking for a sign or something and through one of the doors a saw a pink neon glow and figure thats where it was. I parked my car and went in and found it haha! Its tucked away in a corner, look for the pink glow coming out of the window. The sign next to the door says DHOI or some kind of acronym. Once inside I was welcomed and asked what I was getting, I mentioned i was there for the piercing special. I gave them my ID and I got started on filling out my paperwork. They did go over how there was a $10 shop fee on top of what I was gonna pay for the piercings I was getting, ***********exact change or debit**************** because they dont have change. So ok whatever, I paid, I sign in and they called me shortly. The piercer called me in asked what I wanted and started prepping. I noticed she had brought her son to the shop and he was cute as a button playing with his notebook and coloring set. The decoration inside was nice and welcoming. There are two big couches in the middle of the office space and all around them are different booths where each tattoo artists works out of. Above each work station they had the name of that tattooer in a neon pink sing, very cute. They did have some soft music playing in the speakers but it was low enough where you did not feel like you were at a club. There was a TV in the corner playing rick and morty so that was cool. I was done with my piercings and I paid in cash, got back out the same way I came from and thats it. I was honestly expecting a huge line and a big wait because I seen other people tagging this shop on their tik toks and reading the comments saying they waited hours to be seen. It could also be that they went on a weekend and I was there on a tuesday soo who knows,, also new location. I have yet to get a tattoo from this place but I am hoping that will change soon as they have a few things off the flash sheet that I want. Other than finding the place I did not have any bad experience in this shop. My piercings are healing along so far. Come support a small local business that is black women owned and also voted one of the top tattoo shops in Dallas (even tho now they are in addison).

Y'all, Em knocked it out of the damn park. She showed me the full colour finished pice and it was SO beautiful, way beyond what I had hoped. The day of was really laid back and chill: we chatted a bit about odd tattoos she's done and the worst places to get one. Well lucky me, I picked a pretty painful part but she was as gentle as she could possibly be. We took breaks, her for food and me for coffee, and get about 95% done in 1 full day session. She booked me for my touch up that same day and said there would be no charge for the time since she quoted what she quoted, but I'm happily going to pay her hourly rate plus top for her time. Em herself is very down to earth and chill, open to your feedback and tweaking things to get exactly what you want. Mike from the front desk is cool as hell, and the space is very well lit and exceptionally clean. Other artists popped by while we were working and loved her vision of what I wanted. Overall a 15/10 experience and I'm even finding more art that I want Em to do now.

I urge everyone to check around to get estimates from other tattoo artists to compare pricing…read morebefore you make the same mistake I made. I came in with another person and we both wanted tattoos. We sat down with the artists to go over the designs and were placed on the schedule for full day sessions at $1500 each. We assumed that was just the cost of a tattoo so paid the deposits and left. We trusted them since we haven't gotten a tattoo in over 20 years. One of us was charged a $250 deposit and the other a $400 deposit. We didn't know there was a difference until we left and discussed it. After talking with several friends that have tattoo's, we were told that price was WAY too high for what we were getting done, one tattoo on the upper arm about 4-5 inches big. We decided to get some other quotes and we were told by other reputable shops that our tattoos would take 2-3 hours to complete and the price was $300. We were shocked that Rebel Muse was charging 5 times higher than others. This isn't just a little higher, it's a HUGE difference. We decided to go back and talk to them, 10 days before our scheduled appointments to discuss pricing and the deposit difference. They did not care and said that's the price and we would have to forfeit the deposits if we cancelled. I asked if they could at least refund me the difference in deposit amounts ($400 vs $250) and I was told they would check and get back to me. I never heard back from them. This was a very bad experience and the customer service here is non-existent. I get that prices can be different at different locations/different artists but this is ridiculous. I'm not doubting their work may be good but price gouging is where I draw the line! This was a huge and costly mistake on my end. Unfortunately, this establishment won't do anything to make this experience right. Don't let this happen to you!
