The salon is kept very clean and the staff is very welcoming and kind. Thank you Morgan and Kayla!

I heard about FA Salon from a friend in Chester and decided to give it a try today. Unfortunately,…read moremy first experience was not that great. The stylist who cut my hair did a good job, but the blowout was terrible. Frizzy, curly in the root. I told her I wasn't happy and even suggested her what type of brush to use for the sides and other tips. She said she was going to fix it with a flat iron. Any hairstylist should be able to smooth your hair using a blow dryer and a round brush unless you have frizzy, kinky or damaged hair. In my 50 years, I have never asked another stylist to fix someone else's work so this was a first for me. The next stylist did a good job but I feel I left the salon with a fried head. Please note that my hair is thin, not corse or curly. This could have been avoided. I am not disclosing their names and I might not go back. Just not the great experience others have raved about.

These 3 girls were talking crap about my toe who knows why lol the owner is a strict disrespectful owner. She literally snaps her fingers for them, very rude. Don't waste your money I miss the previous lady and Wayne. She was lovely, this must be her angry sister or something

I'm sad to leave this review. For someone that use to get monthly medi and pedi in NYC from the…read moresame place for 3 years...I was hoping to find a place I could go routinely. Cons: -When I got home, my middle finger and pinky were bleeding because they cut my cuticles too deep. I made an appt for a Saturday afternoon and sat in the chair for 20 mins before someone would come. The manager did generously apologize and I did appreciate it very much! I felt that the pedicure was pretty bare minimum if you didn't upgrade for additional expenses. For all the places I have been to they usually include the heel softener but this place didn't for the regular pedicure. It was only included if you upgraded to $70-85 pedicure. Pros: the owner was really nice and overall the medi and pedi was very nice. Just didn't like how my nails were bleeding when I got home.

Within the spa section, you really feel transported to a zen zone. I was happy to wait there, but then was left ten minutes once in my designated room for my appointment. The massage therapist listened to my specific needs and helped problematic areas of my head, neck and shoulders (since I get migraines). I was given the option for tea or water afterwards which was gladly accepted. My mothers nails were nicely done, but I hate to say they chipped just a couple days afterward. I also was disappointed she could not get a massage appointment close to mine and chose to get her nails done instead. It seems they have very few therapists on staff to do the massage appointments. Overall - I had a great experience, but I think there are definitely improvements to be made on the salon and spa sides.

The spa is situated in the rooms of an old Victorian house and has a homey feel. Jen gave the best massage I've ever had, 5 stars! My esthetician failed to introduce herself and, while the service did good things for my skin, her clunky heeled shoes and rapid, noisy movements ruined my post-massage relaxation and made the service feel rushed. She also provided too-vigorous shoulder and foot massages which I had to ask her to stop. Overall this facial experience was 2 stars. Mani pedi was lovely and relaxing with Hilda, also a 5 star experience. There are no shower or locker room facilities, but I was given a robe and a tote for my stay. The facial and nail services also include hefty doses massage, so I'd ask the massage therapist to skip those areas and focus on shoulders or back instead to maximize your massage minutes! In spite of my lackluster facial experience, I would try this spa again with a different provider or just skip the facial.

Vicki is phenomenal at working out all the pains from my overly-ambitious workouts. It's been a while since I've had a body scrub but these are a real treat, complete with some serious moisturizing.
