I am changing my review with this update- not for the son, who is inheriting this business with no known or observable talent or skill in customer relations OR show repair, but for the DAD, the originator, Brian. After the third time trying to get a re sole done right by Ira, I brought my boots back yet again, and Brian, the original owner, repaired them with much less explanation, and much less information given by me. He simply put on the beautiful soles I had originally requested, the way I had requested them! Imagine that! However he did tell me he's about to retire out of the shop and my resoled boots are probably the last ones he may do. That is a dire loss of incredible skill, talent and customer relations abilities, to the Daytona Beach area. Ira, the superb owner in his own mind, couldn't even show up, and made himself scarce when he knew I'd be picking them up, LOL. SO GET YOUR SHOES DONE WHILE BROAN IS STILL THERE (and then avoid thereafter, if you care about the quality of work done). read more

Yet another super impressive experience with Ira's! Dropped my boots off for a zipper replacement and a cleaning and they've never looked better. I didn't realize they could look this good! Very fair pricing as well. So worth the money. Love these guys! I will continue to spread the word to my boot wearing friends. read more

I know I wrote a review years ago but it is not there. This place is great. My daughter had a pair of boots she loved and the heel was coming off. They fixed them quickly and the repair lasted until she grew out of them years late. It looks like they do leather jackets as well but I have never tried them for that. read more

I saw the reviews and thought this should be a great place to get my boots fixed and cleaned up. Drove almost an hour to be told it would be 160$ to do so. I could get a new pair of boots for that give or take 20$. So honestly I couldn't not comment on the quality. read more

Excellent service technicians, if they cannot repair and make your shoes or leather bags look new again, then no one can. These people are honest and hardworking. Thank you for the decades of quality service. read more

Their rates are too expensive and the wait for a repair is too long! I needed the sole on one shoe glued (no sewing, polishing or time consuming replacement repairs). The cost $25 and a 3 week wait. read more

Just had my mom's new sandals adjusted so it will fit her foot (she has club foot from RA). This place is awesome - listened well to concerns about sandal and gave ideas how to alter them. What a great surprise as they finished it early! Kind, professional, great customer service and very reasonably priced. read more

These guys rock! Great work! It took me 3 years to find an old school shoe repair shop! Finally! I am SO thankful the son is passionate about their craft, he's a lot younger than I am and will be working as long as I'm around and need him I'm sure lol. read more

Great family ran business! Service is prompt and quality is top shelf. I brought in my MK boots that I wrecked the heels on. A little less then a week, they were like new and they added a polish. Apparently, there were scuffs and those were fixed too. I wore them same night and they still have the heel tips! (I walk/play hard when I go out.) My official shoe repair shop for life! Thank you guys! Update: Still have the heels intact after multiple outings! Recommended 100%! read more

Ira's is great. I brought in a guitar strap because I needed the strap holes enlarged. Granted, it's a quick fix but they took it right on, were friendly and the shop has things I need for when I bring in shoes for re-soling. Will definitely be back. read more

Ira and his team repaired my Herschel Backpack to like new status in just 4 days! My backpack had the straps cutoff and a slash to the middle and it was stitched back to perfection! I was overjoyed at the effort and craftsmanship and their work cannot be replicated anywhere else locally! read more

These are really nice people, but unfortunately they were not able to accomplish a simple snap replacement effectively. After their second try, they offered to replace all the snaps on both pairs of boots and various other solutions--they really do care about customer satisfaction. I didn't want them to bend over backwards and make multiple failed efforts though. I just wanted a properly-installed matching snap on a boot, a task I could have done myself for less time and effort at this point. Installing a snap only takes a few minutes, but there were days of waiting in between efforts, which would have been okay if it had turned out well, but it did not. read more

These guys are amazing! They go out of their way to help you and often recommend the less expensive options. I have taken numerous boots and some very expensive ostrich skin to Iras. They always treat ya right and the craftsmanship and quality they provide is unmatched. This will be my cobbler for life! read more

I've used Ira's Shoe Repair for over a decade for a variety of repairs (Shoes, Luggage, Briefcase), so this review is long overdue. Most recently I had my new pair of shoes widened with taps on the soles. As usual, the only thing better than the craftsmanship was the customer service. Ira and his son take time to listen to you and most importantly will never take advantage of you. Thank you for the numerous repairs over the years! read more

Ira's was professional and courteous! They did a great job and the turnaround time was very quick! I will definitely be using them again!

Really nice people and excellent service! They stretch and do red sole protectors for Louboutins :)

If you ever Need shoes repaired Ira is your man he does a great job and is very detail oriented.

Well worth the ride from Port Orange. Ira is a skilled craftsman, in the vein of cobblers of the past. I have terrible feet and brought in a bagful of shoes that hurt my feet. I tried them on, showing Ira and his son the problem areas. Within a couple days. They created unnoticeable pockets in the leather for my bunion and stretched the leather expertly in areas needing room. The outward appearance of the shoes is unchanged, while fitting quite comfortably. Ira is my new best friend! read more

Excellent, prompt, friendly, and reasonably priced. I've had the strap of a high end leather handbag repaired as well as a pair of worn out leather dansko clogs. Neither have had any issues since being repaired. I would use Ira's shoe repair any time I need any leather work done again. read more

Walked in and was immediately greeted with a smile and a handshake. Brought in a pair of oxfords because the soles were coming off. They quickly gave me a quote and told me they'd be ready in a week (they were ready 2 days early). They took time to talk to me about shoe care and provided suggestions. Ira and Brian are the nicest people and do fantastic work. As long as I live in Port Orange, for any shoe repairs I need I'll be taking the 25 minute drive to Ormond to visit Ira's because it's well worth it. read more

Don't go there! That's all I could say! I paid $68 for three pairs of shoes and the glued came off within a month.

Awesome, I'm sooo glad to have classic tradesmen like this and tailor shops in Ormond. ' They were great and even the younger associates were super-knowledgeable. I had a pair of Nike running that had soles falling apart. For their basic flatrate they separated and resealed each layer, RIGHT IN TIME FOR MY TREADMILL TEST!!. Thanks Ira & Son read more

My shoe was unwearable when I brought it in and it is still unwearable. I knew that the tear in the heel of my patent leather shoe could not be repaired perfectly, but I thought that a clear sealant would be used. Instead, the repaired area has a big patch of sealant that is a different color. I wouldn't have minded just a thin line showing (if they had just used a clear sealant!) I could have glued it myself and used a clear sealant - I truly wish that I had. I spent over $30 for this repair work, and I will never be able to wear these Cole Haan shoes again. Won't ever go back. read more

Ira and everyone at the shop are the very best at what they do, hands down and bar none! My family and I have been using a variety of their repair services for many years and they have always done the very highest quality work at excellent prices and a super-quick turnaround time. Ira and his crew are what I would refer to as "shoe wisperers"! They are really that good and I could not recommend them highly enough! You will never be disappointed in the work they do! Plus, as an added bonus, the whole crew is extremely friendly, outgoing, helpful, and have wonderful personalities! What's not to love? read more
