We love coming to Bagliani's and have been going here since I was a kid…read more This place is an Italian deli on steroids, with plenty of great food and that old-school Italian deli feel. This time, I went with the ribeye steak sandwich with fried onions and melted cheese on an Atlantic City seeded semolina roll. It normally comes with provolone, but we opted for Cooper Sharp, and it was an excellent choice. The steak was tasty, the fried onions added the perfect touch, and the Cooper Sharp brought that creamy, sharp flavor that makes a great steak sandwich even better. The seeded semolina roll helped bring everything together. The sandwich was delicious, hearty, and filling. You definitely won't walk away hungry!

Visiting on a Saturday was a bad idea, as the parking lot and the prepared food area were both mobbed like you wouldn't believe. It was also the day before the Super Bowl, which probably didn't help matters. We ordered a range of food, including chocolates, pretzels, eggs, a pretzel dog, macaroni salad, cole slaw, asiago and spinach dip, snickerdoodle cookies, and more I'm sure I'm forgetting. Prices were decently reasonable and the food was tasty but not out-of-this-world good like I recall from my childhood. Check out locations could also get confusing between vendors. One positive is that the puppy shop is gone.

Went to Sweet Amalia for our anniversary lunch today and sampled several items off the board!…read more Started with 6 of their Sweet Amalia oysters and their Sweet Corn Bruschetta! They both were delicious. Next we ordered 6 of their Sloop Point, 6 of their Laughing Gulls along with an order of their Tuna Crudo - they all didn't disappoint! Then we rounded out our visit with their Eggplant sandwich and their Oyster Po Boy that featured fried Sweet Amalia's that we shared. Both were served on a crusty, sesame seeded Po Boy roll. Everything was fantastic which was complicated but their superb, friendly service - made you feel like family! The atmosphere was warm and the seating on the patio was enhanced with today's perfect weather! They were continually busy while we were there filling all of their tables. In addition to the awesome fare, they also offered local produce, hot sauces, jams, jellys and other cooking tools and cook books! I would give them 5 Stars in all categories. I however felt that the shucked oysters were rather small and with that overpriced at $ 22.00 for a half dozen. All of the other menu items that we enjoyed were a little pricey but definitely not unreasonable given the outstanding quality! I would definitely rate them as a great place to try - well worth the trip down! Give them a try!

However, the only bummer was the food wasn't that good. Now granted this was my first time coming here and we only got three things. But the clam chowder was so salty we couldn't even finish a cup of it. The muscles were cooked perfectly, however, the broth again was too salty. And the eggplant sandwich has a great sauce! But the bread to eggplant ratio was off. However, that's not to say I will not be coming back here. I definitely am. There is plenty more on the menu to try, and I'll be able to for a better opinion the more different dishes I taste.
