You know the menu before you even see it. Anich is, in my opinion, the very best of them all.
Be aware that the food is HEAVY and served in large portions. If you order one of the classic popular meat dishes (roast pork, schnitzel, goulash, etc) you should either be very hungry, prepared to share, or willing to ask for a takeout box. It's a ton of food and it's all stellar. I'm trying and failing to think of something we ordered there that was less than delicious and I can't.
The service was not especially fast but I don't mark this kind of restaurant down for that because the meal is supposed to be a slow one.
The local wine selection is excellent as is the beer. During a very crowded time you may be asked to share a large table with strangers or so we heard, but in my visits I never saw this happen. It was winter. Summer may be a different story.
The building is lovely as are the several dining rooms. If you're looking for a light meal go elsewhere. If you want to be stuffed with dumplings, meat, gravy, and all that great stuff don't go elsewhere.
