I had the beef dish with onion sauce and crispy onions on top, I can't recall the complicated name. It was delicious, the sauce with wine was unreal. I really loved it. Another had the much room beef special and it was apparently delicious too. Not as strong a flavour as mine but still very good. We also had the spinach cheese balls too, which were also liked, it was very tasty but quite a heavy dish, to be expected. We also had the cheese spatzle dish, it was really nice too. To top it off we had the apple strudel and the sxhmarne dessert. Both were good. We liked the schmarne the best. It was liked and even a little crunchy too. The sauces were very good and not sweet. Overall a great experience, great from beginning to end.

The menu, in German, Italian, and English, had a huge selection of locally-sourced vegetable and meat dishes, in addition to the daily specials. My husband had the pork loin with polenta, along with a large side salad. I had the pfifferlingen with fettuccini and small side salad. Both dishes were so delicious that we came back a second time for dinner! The restaurant was clean and well-lit, with an open layout, and the staff were all very polite. Although I can muddle my way through a German menu, the server spoke excellent English. We've already recommended this restaurant to our German friends, and we will definitely return to it should be we in the area for vacation again.

It's a little out of the way, but even if you are driving by in the valley below, is worth the 10 minute drive up. The place is very well kept and the food is exceptional. The Apple Strudel w/ vanilla sauce is as good as I've had anywhere. We have had very good service each time...very friendly. I get the impression not many Americans get to this place, but if you do you will be very glad you did.
