Our Dec '14 and Jan '15 bills were terrible and that prompted an energy audit by our power company…read more Upon assessment, there was a definite need for ceiling insulation. I contacted Kinzler to come out and evaluate the upper space. During that time, they also agreed to coordinate with an existing garage renovation that I was working on to give them better attic access. On the day of install, they came and installed baffling down to the soffit and filled the space with insulation. We've already had 2 months of bills since the install and are seeing a considerable savings. I was impressed by their cooperation, the professional installation, and cleanup. Most of all, I appreciate my bills being noticeably lower. I whole-heartedly recommend their service to those who are under-insulated.

I tried to be very clear with everything between the price expected to pay, the equipment used (including the brands), etc to ensure there would be no surprises. The salesman and I agreed to a triple sump pump, dehumidifier and waterproofing the walls. I specifically asked if the dehumidifier was an April Air (whole house) dehumidifier and the salesman confirmed. He also told me there would be a lifetime warranty on the system which would extend out to the next homeowner and I could expect annual maintenance to ensure the system continues working smooth. The workers began installing the systems and the dehumidifier was not only the brand the salesman and I had discussed but it was not set up as a whole house system. I mentioned this to the workers and they said they would reach out to someone and have them call me. Never happened; in fact when I reached out on my own behalf I was told the information given to me was inaccurate. Two years later my system starts to go off so i reached out to the company whom said they could help but they would have to charge me since it would be considered part of their maintenance. I questioned why no one had reached out to set up annual service maintenance the year prior and why the salesman let me to believe the maintenance was part of the warranty and service done. I paid over 20k and don't see why the annual maintenance check ins couldn't be free. I did complain about my salesman and expressed my disappointment in what he led me to believe I was getting myself into but the apology i received felt more like a "too bad so sad" response. If you are looking into getting waterproofing done, I would reach out to multiple companies in your area and consider choosing someone else.

Josh gave us an appointment and he arrived promptly today at 9:30 and said it would take 4 hours and the price would be $427 with a senior discount. He was very courteous and cleaned the ducts throughly and showed us pictures of before and after and what a difference!! They are so clean now. We highly recommend Air Pro and Josh. He will do a great job at a responsible price!!

The morning of I got a text message saying he wasn't going to arrive until 10:30 or 11. I called to let him know that I had a doctors appointment that day at 10. We decided he would come after my appointment at noon. By the time my appointment was over I had another text message from him asking if we could reschedule. We decided to reschedule for the next Tuesday at 10. A few days before the appointment he text and said he would be there between 10:30 and 11. Then again the day of he text me at eight in the morning asking if he could start at 9:00 instead. I told him that the earliest I could have him start was 9:30 and that's when he showed up to start the job. I walked him through the house and we started talking about cost. The amount he told me was different from the price he quoted me over the phone. The cost he told me was $540. He informed me that he would have to have someone else come out to help him because he had booked another job that day as well. He told me the job would take 4-5 hours. He ended up being here from 9:30-5:30. Toward the end of the process he expressed to me his frustration with the house being older and he will be charging $800 for houses like this from now on. I felt as though he was guilt tripping me for him underbidding the job with out coming out to the house before giving a bid. He informed me there were 3 registers that were none working that didn't get cleaned and another that he couldn't do to the best of his ability due to insulation. All of which he included in the price he gave me but didn't end up coming off the end total when it came to pay. He ended up leaving without finishing the clean up from the job because of that he offered to take $20 off of the cost. He then said with that off the total would be $540. Which was the cost he gave me at the beginning. I ended up paying $520 at the end. He also told me he would show/send me pictures of the air ducts before and after and he never did. I reached out to him since the job to see if he did in fact take those and if he could send them to me and I haven't heard anything from him. After looking into some of the vents, there is still layers of dust and things like forks, and toys in some of them that I know were "cleaned".

I glanced in there and didn't see anything out of place and got side tracked with other things. A couple days went by and we got the report. I find by reviewing this that he had broke the bracket to my infant daughters blinds and put it back; not telling me or pointing out what he in fact did. Matt then proceeded to put it in the report with a picture of the blinds laying on the ground and a picture of the bracket he had broke stating it was insufficient. I know for a fact this bracket was NOT broken prior to him coming as we had the room professionally painted and had removed the blinds (not broken at the time). Additionally, it was obvious upon our arrival (after inspection) that all the windows were checked as all the window cranks were moved and now in an up position. There was no bother to put any of them back to the way they originally were. It was getting colder and colder by the day in our 5 month old daughters room and I couldn't figure out why all of a sudden this was happening. We were SHOCKED to find out today (3 days after the inspection) that Matt had opened the window in her room and left it unlocked letting in the freezing cold air. ITS THE END OF NOVEMBER in Iowa with temperatures dropping in the 30s during the nighttime hours. Leaving my daughters windows unsealed/unlocked is pure carelessness and sloppiness.
