This renovated farmhouse is beautifully designed and decorated, and I knew I wanted to visit. When I saw they were hosting a fall supper club with Porch Light Gatherings, I knew it'd be a perfect time to stop by! The space was immaculately curated, colorful, and elegant. Laura and Elizabeth, the mother-daughter duo of the "LE" in Le Home, were wonderful hosts who've created a really special event space. I'd love to rent out the rooms here in the future! This would be a perfect spot for a bridal shower or micro wedding.

My only issue was with the photographer that is on their list of recommendations --- Captured by Kenzie ---HORRIBLE. The bride and groom paid for 10 hours and a 2nd photagrahper -- neither of those things happened. The venue owner had to call her to come back because she just left!!! She didn't complete most of the photos on the list she asked the Bride and Groom to submit and has now blocked the bride and not responding to texts. He was on top of everything from the music at our ceremony to the music for our reception. He had an amazing depth of music, sharing tons of suggestions, while also having all the off the wall songs that we requested. Our guests loved using the photobooth, and loved the energy and excitement he brought to the dance floor. He blew guests away when they realized that he was singing some of the songs. One of the things we loved the most was the security and comfort we felt while working with him. We truly knew that Steve had our best interests at heart with every decision and everything he did for our wedding!

We met and discussed options and made a down payment for her services. About a month before the event, she sent us a message that she would no longer be able to cater for us due to a traumatic accident. We gave her time to heal and get through PT but now, a year after paying our deposit, we still have not gotten it back. We also no longer get responses to emails or txts. Wanted to share our experience so others do not have this same experience with COP.

She offered great suggestions and help us to find a great option within our budget when the party kept growing in guests. Communication was great through the planning period and she arrived early to deliver the food. She even helped out with a few other non food related tasks when we didn't even ask her to do so. The food was OUTSTANDING! The absolute best catered food I have ever had. The food was very flavorful, beautifully presented and high quality. Guests raved about the food and a few went back for seconds and thirds. Having owned an event planning company and worked on planning many events that required catering service, I must say that Center of the Plate is the best I've ever worked with and apparently a best kept secret of Lansing.

I can't say enough positive things about my experience here with Chris and Mary. The facility…read moreitself was stunningly beautiful, but what really makes this place amazing was Mary and her unwavering support. I could visibly see my bride and mothers shoulders relax after meeting Mary for the first time, a few weeks before the wedding. Mary had all sorts of supplies we could use (all for free) and really knew her stuff. During our rehearsal, Mary instructed everyone to come to her on the day of the wedding. Not me (the groom), not my mother, not the bride, but her. She played the QB and handled everything. Guys, and girls, in a world where couples getting married are nickled and dimed for every little thing, this place is the opposite. Never once did Mary say something like "Sure, we can do that for an extra fee". Everything was "Oh sure, here's what I have, what do you think?" You can tell both Chris and Mary really enjoy their work. I have nothing but glowing comments to say about them and their facility. I would recommend them a hundred times over if I could. Go with them and their facility, you won't regret it.

You still get refills, but they will give you a new container for each refill. The seats in our theatre were the reclining seats.....not sure if they recline in each theatre. While comfortable, the reclining seats might very well put you in a position to fall asleep if the movie is boring. Attached to each seat is a side tray where you can place your snacks. We got out of the habit of going to the movies since Covid, but this is our new first choice for movie theater.
