We…read morebooked about a month ahead and managed to get two campsites (25 and 26) right next to each other by the creek. Not all sites come with a fire pit with a grill. Ours was just a circle of rocks. If you're a light sleeper, I wouldn't recommend getting the sites that we had. The river water flows really fast so it's really loud. but others might find it as the perfect white noise. A good amount of bugs at night but nothing bug spray can't fix. I didn't put any one and got bit a couple of times around my feet. There aren't showers or bathrooms with running water. The bathrooms on site were pretty gross though and you could smell the stench a couple of feet outside of the bathroom. This was the biggest downside of the campground. There are public showers at the Chevron in town. Check out by 10AM. There's a $5 charge for an extra car.

I definitely recommend the spot if you're trying to do a weekend getaway!
