However, the lingering trauma Palisades Fires brought me to Michele's doorstep for EMDR which she miraculously used to lift the trauma. But so many other things were happening with my family that I continued seeing her and she is a lifesaver. The exposure assignments she had me do empowered me. She had me yell at my anxiety and realize I have a choice to live with it or conquer it. Lynne is brilliant. She is highly trained in anxiety and panic disorder. She knows her stuff. I remember her telling me because I would ask her all the time, do you think I'll ever be normal again and be able to do things and she would say yes if you do the work. Lynne also helped me by communicating with my psychiatrist on what meds were working, and which ones were not. She helped me alleviate my fear to use anxiety meds through this difficult part of my life and not be scared of them. Even when we were doing telemedicine, I was still able to put myself in a place and imagine a scenario in my head where I had to deal with my fears. I just felt so safe and trusting with her.
