I ordered an Invisablend product for a very large sum of money, $2,400, and I was extremely disappointed. I was told I was going to get a wraparound, which took 12 weeks to arrive. I received the wrong color, and instead of a wraparound I was sent a topper, so I had to send it back 3 times. I finally asked for my money back because I kept receiving falsely advertised products and not what I ordered and they did not offer a refund. Their products are false advertising, and they say they're not hair extensions, but they are, and they have clips in them, which are damaging. I purchased an Invisablend hairpiece last Spring and it was a terrible experience. Way overpriced for what you get which in my case was a hairpiece with hair no longer than 4". Do NOT believe the claim that it's easy to apply! A few strands of hair at a time must be pulled through the netting which must be done by a hairstylist (or patient friend). First the color was not right then the hairstyle was not right then I kept sending it back from Los Angeles because it did not attached properly to my scalp, hair. I 'm a transgender woman who was hoping to find something less expensive than plugs, and I believed their hype. $3000 for a hairpiece that no one can understand how tower with. There are only a handful of people who can install the piece (apparently) in th entire state of California, and all over 100 miles away. One woman--a veteran hair cutter in a very high end salon promised me she could service me, so on her assurances, I went ahead and made the purchase. When I subsequently asked her to put it on, she told me she had been "practicing', but decided that she couldn't figure out the process.. Another experienced cutter told me the same thing. And, I am NOT going to travel 100 miles every few weeks for service tab may or may not exist. I can't afford another $100 in gas money. $3000 was HUGE investment and now it's gone, and I'm stuck with hair I can't use. Maybe I can make it into a regular wig, but if I can't, then my money is totally wasted. Dino did maje an effort to help, but he's 3000 miles away, and my cutter STILL couldn't figure it out. I am a stylist in San Diego California. My client is a young girl who lost her hair due to medical condition. I tried to help her and no extensions could do the work. It is too hot for wigs in California, so invisablend sounded like a perfect solution. I signed the paperwork so I can receive full training that would cost me $3000-$5000 depending on the course I would take. A part of contract was a scheduled meeting with the client and the owner himself Dino. Christine was helping me with scheduling and the information needed. I received a call confirming the appointment Confirmed a couple of times. Appointment was on July 30 at 12pm at 1:40 I recive a message asking to reschedule it for later. Lost a couple of clients because I couldn't get the information to educate myself about the product. They sent me the files I couldn't open. I asked for help and every time I would ask, didn't get a straight answer or help. The long story short I tried to refund the deposit of $500 and I don't think I will get it back but wanted to make sure to save other stylists money and let them know to read a small print and don't let them full you. I end up with no information or the money. I didn't get a chance to see a product, but by reading the yelp reviews glad I didn't sell it to my clients. RUN.....I don't recall ever dealing with such incompetence and rudeness. Total lack of empathy, organization. I don't know how this company is in business. I called the number on their website and left a message. I then received a text back hours later. The person who was texting asked if I was interested in some sort of training program?? If they listened to my voicemail, it would be abundantly clear that I wasn't calling for some sort of training. However after answering quite a few questions, I received a text back telling me that I have to call a different number to schedule an appointment. I called that number and spoke to a woman who then tells me that I have to do a phone consultation via zoom or FaceTime with the owner. I set up the phone call for 2 PM the same day. I never received a phone call. After about 45 minutes of waiting, I called the main number back again and left a message, as well as texted that original number. Five hours later, I got a text asking if I can reschedule for 11 AM the next day. No apology whatsoever. I responded that 11 AM is fine. I then get a text message in the morning saying that I responded too late to the text the prior night, and they are fully booked and can't accommodate me. I responded immediately to that text the prior night. Keep in mind, this is after they totally blew me off, and didn't acknowledge that until five hours later without an apology. Needless to say, I did not take them up on their offer to reschedule for a third time. After telling a friend this story, she was able to recommend someone who can help me. The stylist who helped me was not only fantastic, she was very aware of this company and their awful reputation. The more people that I talk to, the more awful the stories get. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had an appt with Dina, who is the owners daughter. This was a new client phone consultation. All week I was receiving auto texts reminding me of my phone appt with her today. The most recent one was this morning at 7am. Each time I responded yes I was attending. I left me office at 1:20 and waited for her call, no call from Dina. So at 1:45 I called the front desk, which they never answer, it always goes to vm. I left a nessage to call me back. The front desk called me back and told me very RUDELY, "I AM NOT WHO YOU ARE TO TALK TO, ITS DINA". OK fine just tell me where this person is that you promised me all week that will call me. After being on hold for 10 minutes, I was disconnected, then I had to call the front desk back, surprisingly she answered me, she told me Dina left for the day. What??? She left!?! Mind you THIS is the OWNERS DAUGHTER! What kind of unprofessional representation is she to her father's business??? The receptionist said she will try and call her on her cell, she came back and told me Dina said she texted me to reschedule, I'm looking at my inbox (NO TEXTS FROM DINA OR INVISABLEND AT ALL) WHY LIE DINA? if this is the kind of business they run where they can just blow off potential customers willing to spend big money on hair treatments, then this is a huge red flag for buyer beware. PLEASE do not use this company. I ordered in October and finally received the piece in February. I had to turn around and send it back at my cost which was never mentioned at the start of this nightmare. The clips would not stay closed and I could not even attach it. It took another 3 weeks of me calling and emailing to finally receive it. I never received one update and on the day it was to be mailed out I called and only then was I told there would be a delay because of covid..well it was ordered during covid but no mention of it at all! He recommended I see someone local for a fitting. This person took his course and HE recommended her. I drove 3 hours to see her and she could not believe what I brought her. She told me it would never hold up and also my hair would never support it. She fit it to my head the best she could but also said for a custom piece a mold should be made to ensure a good fit. He never saw me and did everything by video. He will not stand by his promises and I filed a complaint with my credit card company and actually won but he still refused to refund me. In 2005 after moving to no va, I decided I would drive to NJ and get this invisiblend system from sequence . It was $7000. I got it put in and the first night I thought I would have to go to the hospital because the "system" was pulling my scalp and I couldn't stand it . A week later, I drove back from Reston va to Englewood NJ and they removed it and I asked for a refund . Diego said No. Good bye $7000. Here it is now 2016 . I found the system stuck in back of my underware drawer so I took a chance to see if their policy had changed and maybe at least give me back a few hundred dollars just for the hair . Nope . What they don't tell you is that you could wash your hair about 3 times before you have to go back and have it tightened from my understanding. Mine came out after 2 washes. They also don't tell you that you need to blend your hair through yourself on a daily or else your head gets insanely itchy, that could take anywhere from 1/2hr a day to an hour, Dino told me that isn't true but they literally give you the pick to do it after they put it in and the stylist along with the receptionist tell you you HAVE to do it. Everyone else in the office knows this is something that needs to be done but he still denies it. I was told I could wash my hair daily without a problem, I told them from the beginning it was a must for me to wash my hair on a daily because of my work and the fact that I have oily hair, they said thats what this product was made for! That was just a lie along with the other lies they told me, like that I just have to come in once a month to have it tightened and that is not the case either, unless you're ok with washing your hair 2/3 times a month. If I would have know the truth I would have never of had done this. This product didn't work for me and he's refusing to give me my money back. I went back several times to have it fixed and it still didnt work for me. I called and spoke to him and when he realized I wanted my money back he told me he needed to go and he would call me back but he never did. Instead he sent me this crazy email that had nothing to do with our conversation, I assumed at the time it was a cover his ass email and I was right. He then sent that email to Amex acting as if he was willing to help me and I refused not mentioning at all that I did go back several times already. In my eyes at this point its a complete scam, I understand everyone's hair is different and what may work well for some doesn't work for others. His actions is what makes me believe its a scam, he knew exactly how to handle the situation and to cover his ass (so he thinks anyway). Im in the process now of speaking with attorneys on how to handle this. He was closed down once for this and reopened under a new name from what I have found so far and it looks like he's going to have another mess on his hands because he just couldn't bring himself to do the right thing. I found invisablend to be unique and very different from any other method. They have a lot of videos that show how they're invisiblend concept works which is very helpful. They are not pushy at all and take their time to explain every detail and answer any question. The staff is very accommodating and they have very good customer service. They seem to really care and get back to me rather quickly which is good. Their office is very clean and organized which is very refreshing. They offer any and all Salon Service along with their method of making your hair longer and/or fuller. Plus each of their salon stations is a private room. So you get your own stylist within your own private room. Plus they are in a private professional building on the second floor so that makes me feel comfortable. I signed up a few months ago. In the meantime of my hair arriving, I kept checking reviews where ever I could find them, although, there was no going back anyway. My hair has been thinning since my 20's and when I tried extensions, that was it., what little hair I had was ripped out. I had to resort to using a wig. I found Invisablend and went for a consultation with my husband. Dino was very thorough in answering my several questions as I went equipped with many and had him answer to some of the bad reviews I had seen. It was double the cost than what I expected, but spoke privately with my husband, and he was the first to say that I should do it. He's a good judge of character and 100% believed in Dino and all the things we spoke about. He has seen my struggle with my hair for over 20 years and wanted me to go for it, and so I did. I had the process done on May 22nd, and so far so good. What a weight lifted from my head, without the wig. I actually went swimming in my pool without any issues and looking forward to the ocean very soon. There are a few rules you need to follow, but no biggie. Condition it and wear in a pony tail. I cannot tell you how happy I am and the comfort I have with it and the increase in my self confidence. I had someone drop in today unexpectedly and was given 5 minutes notice. I quickly put some moose in my hair, scrunched it up and I was put together. No more scurrying around looking for a hat or put that darn wig on, which now in the city dump. LOL. It does feel a little weird at first, but it goes away in a couple of days. I have received many compliments and if you do not know me, you would never think I have anything but my own hair. I hope someone that reads this, who may skeptical, rest assured I felt the same way, but could not be happier.
