Came to enjoy an evening of go kart racing. Go-Karts Plus is a nice alternative to the hustle and…read morebustle of a traditional amusement park. They specialize in, you guessed it, go karts. There is no admission, you pay by the ride OR you can get a ride pass that provides you with unlimited rides (except the arcade). They have go karts for kids and adults, bumper cars, a ride where you get in an inflatable "kart" and bump others and shoot water, a ride called the " Disk'O" where you sit and it twirls you around while you go back and forth on a ramp, and they have a playground area for the kids. They have this mini coaster called "Python Pit", and you have been warned . They were in the process of expanding the area to include what looked like a multi- ramp go kart ride. There is a snack bar, but it closed around 7p (but the park stayed opened to 9 ) and the vending machines weren't working. Had to take a star off for that. (Free water was provided). They had plenty of benches (some covered) for you to sit and observe (as I did) and a covered pavilion with tables and benches for you to host a party. All in all, it was okay, but they need to keep the snack bar open until at least 30 minutes before closing AND please fix the busted vending machines!

From 12-5 pm on Tuesdays, two people can play a round of mini golf for $10 total. Such a deal! We had a great time. The course is fun and challenging. It's also covered by trees so you can still enjoy playing on hot sunny days. Now, the trees also drop needles, which need cleaned off the course. The only "odd" part of playing there is that you have to buy a plastic card for $1. They then load your $10 onto the card and you take it to the mini golf booth to have swiped so you can play a round of golf. You keep the card and refill it to enjoy their other amusements or more rounds of golf that day or any day you return. They have sufficient free parking.

This woman never once announced the rules and there was nothing written posted anywhere saying people were supposed to go in a particular direction. She was just mumbling strangely sitting there like something was off with her. She then cursed at my kids and said what the f when they did not comply with her unstated rules. I told her not to speak to my children that way and she lied and said she didn't. She then tried to get other customers on her side and turn it into a Karen situation. Meanwhile, other kids were doing the exact same thing right as her and I were arguing about it. This is the worst place. It was rough and dangerous for little kids but the attitude of the workers is the worst thing about it. If you are the type of person that would curse at little 4 and 6 year olds, you probably shouldn't be working at a bounce house place. We will never go back and will tell all our friends and family never to go here.

My cousin was visiting from out of town and he had mentioned it would be cool if there was a ferris wheel near the ocean. The ferris wheel here came to mind. As long as I've lived here I had always passed by it but never rode it. Upon entering my cousin got excited about the (water gun) game. The employee running it was pleasant and we got a bunch of smiles out of him. It was really fun and my cousin won a super cute tiger for a family member of ours. It came with a hefty price tag though. Before we even played I told him he would be better off just buying a stuffed animal in a store. But the prize he was seeking ticked off all the boxes. Plus there's a fun, enjoyable story to tell behind it. It cost $30 total to win. Yeah I know. It actually was truly enjoyable but if he hadn't been visiting I would have never came to check out this Fun Park. After that we rode the ferris wheel which was a good time as well. You are able to see the ocean from it, which was nice. It was great to have a different perspective of VA Beach. Tickets were roughly $6 a piece. Each ride takes a certain number of tickets and you purchase them at the ticket booth right across from it as well for tickets to other rides. You get 3 full rides around on the wheel. We were the only ones on it too. They do accept credit card but they tack on a 3.5 % service charge to do so. We roamed the rest of the park just to check it out. The other rides look pretty beat. It was so quiet in there, for me that's a plus because there were no crowds and it was rather peaceful. However, it was so quiet that when we looked around I didn't notice the ride attendants standing around their station. They looked like permanent fixtures of the rides. It was eerily quiet for a fun park on a September Sunday afternoon. It would've been a perfect backdrop setting for the beginning of a zombie apocalypse movie. It felt like a place where hopes and dreams come to die. What actually brought life to the park were the colorful, beautiful hibiscus flowers dispersed throughout the grounds. We spent roughly 30-45 minutes there. There aren't many rides and they could use some sprucing up. It has potential. It also has a high price point because it's at the oceanfront.

I'd even go as far as saying this is a good place for a date night for young and mature as it is a casual environment and the expectations are overachieving. If you love 80s vibe carnival settings, this carnival is for you. The carnival isn't vast, however, the rides and games are strategically situated in the right places. I normally don't do carnival ferris wheels, however, this ferris wheel was a very good experience and worth it. The wheel circles high enough to get a good high view of the skyline of Virginia Beach at night. The ride and game attendants were also friendly. Overall a good experience.

Since I hadn't been to a carnival in a while, I was surprised to see that the tickets were stored digitally on a card that they give to you. I actually loved the convenience of not having tickets all over the place lol. We rode about two rides which were a lot of fun. The ride operator simply scanned the card for our tickets and that was it! Gone are the days of having to count out the tickets for the rides lol. We then decided to grab something to eat. I remember carnival food being delicious and worth every penny but we ordered a cheese burger, cheesesteak, sausage and peppers and fries and the burger was extremely small, the cheesesteak was finished in 3 bites and the sausage was the size of a hot dog. The food was disappointing for how much we paid. The funnel cake and fried Oreos were great though. The best part of the carnival was definitely the delicious Turkey leg that we all enjoyed. Since my daughter isn't a big fan of fireworks, we decided to leave before they started but overall, it was a fun family outing. Side note: To avoid paying the $10 parking fee, we parked at a nearby school but we walked close to a mile to get to the carnival so definitely where comfortable shoes if you plan on taking that route next year. :)
