They have a wedding planner included, Liz, and she is wonder woman! The entire venue is beautiful with so much to do and see. While the venue is already beautifully decorated as you can see in photos and comes with so many decorations, we also brought our own and they helped set it up for us! They have a fantastic reputation and working relationship with the vendors in the area too, so catering and other vendors went without a hiccup because of the seasoned experience everyone has out there. Many of our guests told us it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to, all because of the venue and the owners and their team. It's unique, classy, elegant, and so fun! We didn't need it, but they did have the option to move the ceremony indoors as well. Don't hesitate to plan a short road trip out to see the location for yourself, you won't regret it!

Took quite a long time for our order to come out. If you ordered a dinner, it comes with a salad bar. The salad bar was a bit anemic. Lettuce, onion, olives, and mushrooms were the only veggies. Seemed like an odd mix. Once our order arrived, the food was really good. Shrimp 2 ways & walleye on my seafood platter for a reasonable $18. We'll definitely be back as we have family in the area, hopefully service picks up a bit, too.

Let me say that I'm no stranger to the Holiday Inn Express...and this one is remarkable. My room was warm & inviting, very nice amenities...pool/spa, exercise room...front desk was pleasant...and breakfast in the morning was flawless. The contractor is still finishing up his work, and while the landscaping isn't in yet, the temporary asphalt parking lot is good and striped...the final asphalt course isn't layed yet. All in all, this is one dynamite hotel.

It would be great for large events as two hotels are attached. Huge plus: the children's meals were brought out the same time as the adult salads.. And they were not hot to the touch! Usually the kids food seems to take forever and the parents are always trying to keep the little ones entertained.. Then it usually shows up and it's too hot to give to your kid. I went to the bar and asked for a milk for my daughter (which was not at the bar) she went to the kitchen to get it for me and was very nice about it. Cons: the servers would randomly give us our food even though we all had the same entree.. It was strange, they would look at what we ordered and then walk around and pick someone.. Other than the strange meal service it was your normal reception. I would totally recommend to a friend!

They took down decorations, tables and chairs to the point that there wasn't even a place for people to sit that weren't dancing.
