Here is something that is outstanding and rare during any excursion. He took a lot of pictures for us and he sends you a link to download all of them for FREE! I have never had an excursion do that before. If you do a dolphin or stingray type of excursion you know you will have to pay to get the pictures they take. The insult is they often also don't allow you to bring your own camera so you are forced to buy their pictures. Not this guy. How do you not love him for the fact he not only doesn't charge you but he takes so many for you and with you that it basically is a recap of the day with him. We had over 120 pictures alone that he took for us. It's awesome not to be gouged on an excursion.This was an unexpected add on for us. The walking portion in Old San Juan is fascinating and colorful and thrilling all at the same time. I can't say enough how great a place Puerto Rico is. Such diversity on the island. Historic Old San Juan, forts, stunning beaches, rain forest, night life, luminescence tours etc. Puerto Rico offers so much and the people are so nice and accommodating. We've been there twice and will be back again and will insist on spending a day with Carlos again. He is that good. I asked to stop and have some pastelillos and rellenas and we got an authentic experience that was tasty for lunch. Of course he had the cooler stocked and a nice big tv screen at the front of the van so anyone in the back has a clear view of what's ahead while we are driving. A very nice touch that is really useful and was very much appreciated. The narrative Carlos provides is educational and delivered in such a nice friendly casual style. He had all of us at ease immediately when he greeted us right across the street from where the ship is in port. He had me at ease nearly a year ago when I booked our time with him. His email replies and phone calls for any questions are always helpful and he does respond to questions in a timely manner. Keep in mind he could be on tour and he can't reply immediately. Carlos is so warm and personable it's great for this gringo to now have an hombre in lovely Puerto Rico. Sincerely, Carlos, from the four of us, thank you for giving us a memory that will last a lifetime! I knew my husband and I would not venture past the resort unless we had a tour guide - but we really dislike overcrowded hot buses and predetermined times of departure & locations. Sometimes you just want to walk around and stay a little longer etc. We loved touring old San Juan and traveling into the mountains. We ate at the popular Pork Highway in Guavate. Sampling a buffet of the local offerings was so much fun and of course delicious! The pork was seasoned to perfection and we really fell in love with the yucca. After eating we visited two very interesting art galleries. Jenny and Santos. Please check out our pics - Carlos took all the pictures and made sure we had wonderful memories of our excursion! Since I don't drink alcohol, I was really appreciative that there was a mocktail or juice option at each stop. I also thought it was huge that they chose to support the family owned spots on this tour. Everything was good, but my favorite was definitely the pernil with rice and beans. Other members of the tour were friendly, and it was nice that Lorna had us all introduce ourselves at the beginning to break the ice. It was our 3rd time on the Norwegian Epic, and our second time in the Epic's Haven. We even booked…read morethe same DOS as our previous Epic cruise in the Mediterranean. Why? We just love the layout of that room and the floor-to-ceiling windows at the forward part of the ship. I won't get into details since I've already reviewed the Epic at another home port. Just be aware that people either love it or hate it. The club balcony & standard balcony rooms come in different shapes and sizes due to the curvature of the layout. It's good for couples and solo cruisers, but maybe not so great for groups or families of 3 or more. Personally, I feel that the better non-Haven room is the one that has the bed next to the balcony with the couch separating the bathroom from the bedroom. You may have to do more research to find the right fit for you. Other than that, it's a unique ship for a reason. They never made another one with this design. You'll have to experience it to understand why. The cruise itinerary and port of embarkation was too difficult to pass up. This was our first embarkation and debarkation from San Juan. I absolutely loved the night view of OSJ when leaving on our 7-day cruise. The cruise itself was very port heavy. There were no sea days. We visited Tortola, Antigua, Sint Maarten, Barbados, and St. Thomas. We were notified ahead of the cruise of an itinerary change. There was an added overnight in Barbados instead of a visit to St. Lucia due to port availability. It all worked out well despite that glitch. We just didn't get to wake up to a beautiful view of the Pitons. That was our only disappointment. Our dining options were pretty good. We mostly enjoyed the Haven Restaurant. Our specialty restaurant choices were Cagney's Steakhouse (twice) and Shanghai's Restaurant. We also had a couple of Noodle Bar dishes delivered to our room on our last night onboard. We had one dinner at O'Sheehan's, but I don't recommend it. It used to be very good. Not this time. Other than O'Sheehan's, it was all good. We had some great cocktails at the Haven Bar. It was my very first pistachio martini. I also tried a spicy mango mojito. Let's just say we enjoyed many "firsts" on this cruise (and not just drinks). I'm looking forward to more cruises in the future. It's just a great way to see our beautiful world.

Instead, Eddie of Pandora tours answered the phone as cheerfully as could be and then proceeded to tell him that he could do a tour for the following morning. Eddie staying in touch with me via text and was waiting for me and my wife and kids in a very nice van the next morning outside my hotel. Eddie had water and bananas for us and was an incredible wealth of knowledge about Puerto Rico, it's history, geography, and especially it's ecology. My son and daughter were a challenge for Eddie as my son has a hard time focusing and my daughter is very shy. Eddie was able to get through and interact with both of them during the course of the tour. Eddie took us the the El Yunque rainforest, first to the visitor center to see a few things in the museum and watch a great video about El Yunque. We then proceeded down the most popular trail and down to La Mina falls, which was in a word, "awesome." The water was so fresh, it actually felt like it gave me energy. The trail was a bit of a challenge, but we all handled it well, especially the kids. We also went to the Yocahu Tower to get a breathtaking view of the forest and we were able to see all the way down to the coast. Finally, we stopped at La Coca waterfall for a great photo op! On the way back to the hotel, Eddie must have read my mind, because he answered a question right as I was about to ask it, and took my family to the best locals BBQ joint in San Juan for a quick bite to eat. He certainly didn't need to do that, but he took the extra time, since he could tell we were hungry. All in all, Eddie is a class act, incredibly knowledgeable, and I came away feeling like we made a new friend here in Puerto Rico. Skip anyone else for this tour...go with Eddie and Pandora Tour Puerto Rico. You will not be disappointed.

**This is a fairly long review - but highly informative!**…read more I booked an El Yunque hike with Pandora a few months ago based on some reviews I had read - and my wife and I are glad that we did! Our driver (and owner of the company) was Eddie. I got a couple of follow up texts and emails from Eddie confirming our pick-up time and a text 20 mins before we were supposed to get picked up...gotta love that follow up! We started out for the hike about 10 mins earlier than expected. We were supplied with water, soda and fruit for the trip. Along the way, we were given a lot of information - current and historical - on the areas we were driving through and the island in general. Once we got there, we watched a video on the rainforest that really tied together the information we had received on the ride in. We then trekked it up the mountain in the van until we hit the trailhead. The hike from the La Mina trail was amazing! So many photo-ops, plus there's a waterfall (wear shoes good for hiking and water of you're going to swim). The trail was mostly down-hill and paved....but it was closed at the waterfall, so the walk back was uphill and a little rough. Don't let that deter you ....We wouldn't have traded the experience for anything! After the hike and more photos on the way down the mountain (which lasted about 90 mins total), Eddie took us over to a local eatery near the airport...the food was great and cheap (even if we got the world's worst waitress! LOL). After lunch, we headed back to the hotel. Eddie asked us what we were getting into the rest of the day, so we told him we were headed to Old San Juan for the afternoon. Eddie offered to give us a ride down there (which we gladly accepted). He allowed us time to go up to our room and change before we left. He picked it's up in his personal car and drive us over...still giving us great information about the island, and also life - advice we will surely cherish. He left us near the docks - and I must say, it was a little sad ending our time with him. It was like being with an Uncle you haven't seen in a while. He really takes care of people, and seems to genuinely enjoy what he does. He puts a lot of hard-work into perfecting his craft as an excursionist and it really shows. I know it has already been said in another review, but we honestly do feel like we have made a friend in Puerto Rico, and will definitely be calling WHEN we come back! He also took many photos for us and even joined in on some of them. Raul was on time picking us up in the morning and was very pleasant and professional. Our destinations during the day included the rainforest, a natural waterslide, a delicious food kiosk, the beach and a bio bay tour. Raul has a wealth of knowledge about Puerto Rico and its culture and was very enthusiastic and energetic throughout the tour. It was evident he truly loves what he does. He also has a great sense of pride in his home and its history. While I most definitely enjoyed the delicious food and wonderful sights and experiences, Raul himself left a profound impression on me. He is one of the most genuine, humble and hardworking people I have ever met. He has a terrific sense of humor and was very easy to get along with. After spending a few hours with him, I felt like he was part of our group of friends. At the end of the tour when he was officially "off shift," we invited him to join us at a small neighborhood bar near the condo at which we were staying. After a long day, he could have chosen to decline and go home; instead, we shared a few drinks and stories and lots of laughs. It was a fabulous ending to an epic day!!

You get to move at your own pace and see what you want to see. Javier was excellent with the communication re-confirming the tour the night before and right on time for pickup. There were some concerns about rainy weather, but we lucked out with barely a sprinkle of precipitation. We first ventured outside San Juan along the coast, passing beachfront areas and smaller towns enroute to a nature reserve. It was refreshing as I had been to San Juan multiple times before, but never ventured all that much outside the San Juan city limits. After a delightful overview of the ecosystem, we went to the small town of Loiza. There we visited a waterfront multicultural center/gallery (Antiguo Ancon de Loiza) that used to serve as the historical water barge transport location for the city until a bridge was created to connect Loiza to the land west of the river. We then visited a natural cave area with these incredible local musicians largely consisting of drumming and singing (very unique and cultural). I didn't expect natural caves so close to the town & coast. We then visited a beautiful beach restaurant (Villa Pesquera Herrera) where there there's ocean out back and a river off to the side. It was here and central Loiza where scenes from the first episode of season 5 of the Netflix show Cobra Kai were filmed to portray a town in Mexico. I would have totally missed it if Javier didn't point it out. We then got a great overview of old San Juan and surrounding areas like Isla Verde and Condado. The tour of Old San Juan took us on so many of the winding cobblestone streets, with excellent coastline views. Javier was excellent in providing a historical overview of the city and how the fortifications were designed, playing a vital role in the defense of the city. With the private tour, we got to stop off for food and a delicious frozen treat at Señor Paleta in Old San Juan. We covered so many unique areas that I would never have stumbled upon if I hadn't taken this tour, and covered more ground than I did on both my prior 2 trips to San Juan combined. Javier was very accommodating to our needs and was informative and kind every step of the way. I wouldn't hesitate to book a tour with him again and will be recommending him to friends & family when visiting Puerto Rico.

The owner/tour guide is great. He is extremely informative and friendly. The tour is well worth the money, and we are so glad we got to explore the fort on Segway instead of on foot. It was extremely hot, and riding/driving the Segway is the way to go. You get the breeze AND don't have to walk that long stretch to the fort. I would highly recommend this to EVERYONE. It's soo easy to learn how to ride the Segway. It may be intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it, it's sooo much fun. My biggest recommendation to the owner is that to give better instructions on how to find the place. I was sooo confused where exactly the location was.

One of…read morethe first things we did was go on a Segway tour across Old San Juan to learn about the history of Puerto Rico. However, before we get going on our segways, we get a basic training and safety course from the tour guide. -My travel companion masters it right away -I, on the other hand, struggle a bit as I'm steering too much and then realize to put less effort into it and then get it. After I make a fool of myself, we go on our way and she shows us a bit of the pier and explains why the houses have no numbers, go to a fort and then tour a lot of Old San Juan. We covered a lot of ground and going over the bumps was fun. Unfortunately, we ran into rain, so we had to wait a bit and this delayed our tour. Luckily, we were the only people for the day. Just riding on the segway was so much fun, but the tour guide was really knowledge and seeing the fort was so cool. I love seeing old war stuff (even though I'm totally anti-gun). We enjoyed it so much that when we walked around Old San Juan, we were thinking "we need that damn segway back!!!" Overall, great time.
