The prices were very reasonable and the mechanics were wonderful! Ever since then I take my vehicles there for pretty much everything. They are honest and reasonable with prices. They don't try to sell you things you don't need! I used to get my oil changed at the dealership because it was actually really cheap, but the organization for appointments was horrible and I had to leave my car all day for an oil change. S&S was just slightly more and closer to my house, so I will always pay the extra $10 or so for the great service!

That didn't happen we went back and forth through text for a week. Until I made the drive out there myself ,to tow my truck out that way anyways I get there and come to find out they only had my grille in stock . Didn't have my cowl hood , ss bumper or roll pan which I payed for full amount on the phone one week prior to the day I showed up. Customer service is sorry & seem to not care or look for there customers. Not a way to run a business. Waste of my time & money ! Not happy at all

I mentioned that I need to get my headlights cleaned and possibly a much bright bulb because I have a hard time to see at night. He told me about these guys that can install HID bulbs for cheaper than most places. I cannot lie as I was a bit hesitant because usually you get what you pay for, pay a cheap price for a cheap product. I arrived one morning and they only had one car in their bay, it took a while for someone to notice me in the office even though the door alarm rang as I entered the building. One of the guys finally came in and asked what I was looking to do and I mentioned I was referred for the HIDs for my car. He showed me the two brightest ones he had, basically the same lumens but one a shade of blue and the other super white. He told me both are the same price and if I would like my fog lights changed out too he would only charge me $125 for all lights to be changed. The worker did mention that the parts are only covered for 30 days as well as the labor which is not very much time. Being the impatient person I can be at times and the need for brighter lights for night driving, I opted in anyways. My headlights needed to be cleaned/polished but they didn't offer that service so I still need to do that. That night I did notice a huge increase in visibility but not as much as it would be if I had my headlights cleaned. I did love the foglights being super bright too but guess what? Just after 30 days, one of my foglights stopped working. I called them and they said they only cover for 30 days which I had the feeling they would say that. It really sucks because it was at this time that I discovered that my high beams were still stock ones, I was under the impression they were all getting changed out so I called back. He told me I never mentioned I wanted that done, I refused to argue over something that will just be a waste of time. Don't be like me, be patient and shop around if you are able to do so, this place has a product that has great potential but I think they don't care to install them properly. I haven't had time to fiddle with my foglight so I cannot say for sure its out completely, possible it is loose, but who knows.

In the span of four weeks, I've experienced every cliche nightmare mechanic situation here…read more The short story: this shop turned a $700 problem into a $3000 problem in less than 48 hours. Their attempt at making good took twice as long as it should have. The long story: JVS botched an alternator replacement, which resulted in my car burning out and stranding me on the 99 freeway. The radiator hose clip had not been replaced after putting the new alternator in, causing fluid to spew throughout the engine, overheating and ultimately burning out the engine. It took two weeks for them to replace a head gasket, and the entire engine replacement took nearly a month. A respectable shop would have offered to cover the cost of a rental car, but these guys just settled for agreeing to cover the bill when we asked (and we went for three weeks without that car before getting the rental!). 4 times out of 5 they gave us a date that the car would be ready and failed to uphold it. I can commend them for taking ownership of their mistake and for fixing it at their cost. It's what's expected, but for a job that failed in so many other ways, this was a silver lining that i could be happy with. The engine is driving fine now, about 4 months later. But now my only hope is in my lucky stars, because their warranty on the engine extended 90 days, which doesn't seem like a lot of confidence for such critical work.
