I came in for suspension issue after visiting another shop with horrible customer service. Luis took the time to show me all the worn parts prior to authorizing the repairs and explain how the components working hand in hand- that left a great lasting Impression. Needless to say, I opted to have my struts, lower control arms and ball joints replaced here at MSM. Driving home from the shop, the ride of my car was transformed back to its original glory (no more wiggle noises and a smooth ride). The best part was my car was done if a few hours!! I will be returning back to MSM for all my automotive needs. I will also be referring all my friends/family to the shop. Thanks again.

I am clueless about fixing cars. So if I go to a mechanic I expect the mechanic to be honest,…read moreknowledgeable, and thorough. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with a local shop. I took my vehicle to a different shop because my engine light is on and my car is shaking and slowing down while driving. I needed a catalytic converter so it was replaced. The other issue of shaking/slowing down was because of my tires according to the shop (Benny's). Fast fwd, my car is still slowing down, shaking, battery light is on and now making a horrific noise. Take it back to the same shop to get checked. They tell me I need a new engine $4,500-6,000 estimate. What?! Apparently, they turned it on, heard the noise and said I need a new engine. Benny's shop didn't even bother to look under the hood! Thank goodness for Eddie from El Gatos Auto Repair! He quoted me a very fair price and my car is now running without any issues. If you want an HONEST mechanic please give this shop a chance. Thank you Eddie! I was beyond stressed out and you saved my car without any unnecessary replacements. I am so grateful!

Made the mistake of taking it to one of those smog places by the DMV first, and was quoted an outrageous amount and didn't really leave feeling all warm and fuzzy. Brought the car to A-1, and after the first 2 minutes of talking to the owner Tanner, we knew this was the right place. He was very knowledgeable, explained what was going on with the car, why it wasn't passing smog, and after that, we felt very confident in leaving our car here. We pretty much decided that even if his quote came in at the same price as the other, we were more confident in their knowledge and ability and if it did inded cost that much, it would be done right. They diagnosed the car, got back to us promptly and to our delight, the quote came in MUCH MUCH lower than the first place. It took about a day and a half for everything to be fixed, it passed smog and is running great! Definitely coming back with any and all car problems/needs. You can tell these guys are straight shooters, and not trying to nickle and dime you!
