Our son's wedding was on June 14, 2025 and i can't say enough about this company. EVERYONE I dealt with in helping get the bids for things we needed to rent were phenomenal. The bride and groom rented around 68 table plus 275 chairs for this wedding. We came in to host an event called the Great American Crawl and we were trying to find a bbq we could rent for the event short notice. ISE was a great help and we had an awesome event Couple notes We rented their biggest flat top gas grill. It's very big, you'll need a good sized truck to move it. The spatula we rented was a little flimsy. Make sure you get a good one to flip those burgers. We cooked almost 200 burgers in less than an hour, very worth the rental. read more

I just wanted to leave a quick review, we were planning my sisters 50th birthday dinner and ISE was so accommodating and easy to plan with. Unfortunately we had a family emergency right before the event and had to cancel, hoping to move the date of the celebration to a later date. Terrible service and zero accountability. Our table/chair/plate rentals for our wedding were hours LATE on both drop off and pick up, creating absurd amounts of stress for us and for the folks at the venue we used. Even worse than their lateness however, was their complete and utter lack of communication about these delays. We were left having to call them repeatedly, and repeatedly received no answers or clarity from them when we did. If you don't want to spend your wedding day hounding a no show rental company, then I'd strongly suggest not using these folks. read more

I contacted Interstate regarding water misters for an upcoming company event. They responded within the hour, via email, and provided excellent details and service. Our event ended up changing venues and the misters were no longer needed. I was worried about cancelling since I had signed a contract, but they were super great and understanding and cancelled our order with a full refund. Michelle at Interstate is awesome! read more

I contacted Interstate Special Events because my wedding venue uses their company for rentals. I called twice to have my messages taken, and they said they'd call me back, but I never heard from them. My venue said I could use another company, thankfully - could you imagine the headache I would get using this company when right from the start they've shown no customer service???? read more

I am sorry to say that I did not have the same positive experience with Interstate that other Yelpers did. Truly, it would have saved me a lot of stress and heartache around my wedding if I had. Interstate was uncommunicative and unreliable from the beginning. I should have heeded the warning signs when they took weeks to finalize our quote and actually needed prodding and reminders to send it to us. Rather than deal with simple issues such as not knowing what size of generator we wanted by picking up the phone and calling us, they apparently decided the solution was to wonder in silence. They only brought it up with us after we reached out to them asking what the delay in our quote was. When we held a venue walkthrough for wedding vendors, Interstate never showed and then claimed they hadn't gotten the email about it--even though they had previously confirmed that they were available during that time. Next problem: we decided to forgo said generator because they promised that our sound system was battery-powered (we got married in a park and did not have access to an electrical outlet). Apparently we were wrong to trust them on that. The sound system was only able to handle a little less than two hours of music during the cocktail hour and dinner before the battery died--right before we began our toasts. That's right, they didn't charge the battery on the sound system that they rented to us without a generator. The toasts had to take place without a mic and ended up being difficult for those seated on the outskirts to hear. About to start the dancing with a dead sound system and no way to plug it in, we were forced to relocate for the last two hours of the reception, abandoning the venue that we'd paid to hold our entire wedding in. It was extremely lucky that we had a back-up venue to use for dancing (a parent's backyard with a patio). Otherwise, I'm honestly not sure what we would have done. To add insult to injury, while Interstate agreed to give us a refund on the sound system and dance floor that we never used, they again dragged their feet for several weeks and failed to issue the refund until both we and our event coordinator had reminded them. Were they hoping that we would forget to ask them about it? When my husband called to check the status of the refund for the second time, he was assured that it had been issued to our credit card--but when he asked how they'd managed that when we had originally paid by check, they admitted that they hadn't in fact issued the refund yet. After that revelation, they finally sent it. Our wedding was still a beautiful and an amazing experience, regardless of the problems Interstate caused--but it would have been much easier on us if we had gone with another rental company. I don't know what to say about this company--Yes, their prices are a little bit lower than others in the same business, but the savings are not worth it. I can only assume that there are some serious, serious management issues on the inside preventing them from serving customers effectively. read more

Oh my gosh, Interstate Events was AMAZING for a fundraiser of 200 people. They furnished all the chairs, tables, linens, dishes, silverware, cocktail tables. The owners are super nice, (family owned business) yay! Every single last detail was covered, they thought of many things I didn't and were so easy to work with. They were on time, very helpful and nice, and managed everything with professionalism. People commented on how nice the space looked with the gorgeous table clothes over the auction tables and beautiful napkins and dinner settings. You could absolutely trust them with a wedding or major event. read more

Michelle provided excellent customer service, so positive and kind in arranging for the needed items to be delivered promptly. Set up was done as we requested and everything looked great. Their prices are similar to other event rental companies in the area. I was thankful that they delivered and picked up so we didn't have to worry about anything. The only downside was that I was charged for missing items because I was unable to receive their voicemail while on my honeymoon. I wish they would have given me more time since many brides leave immediately for honeymoons. read more

We hosted a company event for 300 people during one of the rainiest springs in Portland. Thank goodness for Interstate Special Events! They had a large tent perfect for accommodating our guests. Despite the rain, hail, wind and thunder...our event was a success. Our guests were warm and dry and we had plenty of space for tables and food.
