Party pros was 30 minutes late to deliver linens and glassware to our wedding, affecting the days timeline and resulting in their delivery coinciding with guest arrivals significantly. I requested a refund of the Delivery Fee and Kevin the manager wanted to argue with me that they 'tried their best' when his booking staff was clear on our firm schedule. I would not rely on Party Pros for critical events and found Kevin's entire posture to be inhospitable. read more

Absolutely worst customer service and from the general manager? Wow I'd expect better. I'd also expect that when you drop off a refrigerator that the compressor turns in and the fridge cools to an operating temperature unlike the 86 degree warming box they delivered as a fridge. Upon calling the GM explained there's nothing they can do costing us our entire event weekend. 100% unacceptable Getting this from an hourly maybe but paying someone a salary to destroy your business isn't a bright idea. I did not check reviews before calling The Party Pros. I got an email quote and called back, ready to make the reservation. The girl on the phone answered the 2 questions I had, but in such a curt and unenthusiastic manner. To her, I was not a name or a potential customer, just a quote number. She sounded so bored. I hesitated to make the reservation. ...Crickets.... she did not offer any other help or information, or even ask for the sale. So I thanked her and got off the phone. The whole thing probably lasted 45 seconds. That's when I checked Yelp only to find that my instincts did not fail me. I can handle mediocre customer service any day, but not when it comes to something special like a wedding or a party. I feel lucky to have avoided a stressful and frustrating wedding day. Edited 10/20/12- Since I posted this review, the owner has contacted me to ask for constructive feedback to take back to his team and improve customer service. Well priced, great service, easy! Used them for our wedding on 9/30/2016. Our reception venue had most of what we needed but we ended up renting wine glasses (picnic size worked perfectly) a couple of round tables, table cloths and about a dozen folding wood chairs that we used at both ceremony site and at reception. They were able to deliver the day before which I appreciated as I was stressed out with all the final prep work that needed to be done. Pick up was day after, also easy. Called in the morning and they were able to work with us on timing as we had some after-wedding family events to attend. Online reservation, email and phone call to complete and quick pick up. We ordered a few tables and chairs for our party and it was unbelievably affordable leaving more room in our budget for food and drinks which was awesome. I called the morning of the party and added a large outdoor mushroom heater to our order. It was no problem at all, they were great. Unfortunately the heater ended up not working and I called and left a message as soon as I realized it. We received an email back first thing Monday with an apology and a credit to our account. I am a repeat customer of The Party Pro's and have always enjoyed great service. I had used them for smaller events in my home for tableware and on occasion tents to cover my back porch. Party Pro's have always showed up on time and took care in setting up the tents. I recently threw a really big party at an outside venue, which was staged by Royce's Prop Shop and catered by Devil's Food Catering. I asked both vendors to use Party Pro's for all the rentals. As expected, the Party Pro's delivered. The tables and seating were great as were the table settings. They even use Riedel glassware for wine glasses. Not something you see very often from rental companies and a really nice touch that is noticed. The tables were set beautifully and I couldn't have been happier. The venue had to be cleared on Sunday and they showed up as planned to take everything away. I highly recommend Party Pro's and will continue to use them myself. read more

I'm not really sure why several others had such a horrible experience with them. I would use them again in a heartbeat! My fiance and I went here on the recommendation of a family member who has used them for a few small rentals and had no issues. Upon arriving we were warmly greeted and told to look around and were given a brochure to answer some of our pricing questions. Our venue was just a barn with nothing in it so we needed all our tables, linens, chairs etc to be rented. The had all the colors and textures of linens on their display wall so we could easily see what they looked like. The lady that helped us was more than happy to go get the full version of the linens and put them on the display tables so that we could see what the difference of lengths would look like and the colors. She didn't seem annoyed at all when we wanted to see various lengths and colors. We left to mull it over. We came back a few weeks later ready to place our order. The girl was super helpful with getting all our tables/matching linens in order and didn't mind explaining everything out for us so we could understand all the costs and such. They did delivery for $50 I think and we were SOOO glad we paid that small fee when we saw how much space our rentals would have taken up! We also paid a fee to have them come "after hours" to pick up our rentals on the day of our wedding so that we wouldn't have to find a place to store them. Again, we are so glad we did that. The day of the setup came and the delivery guys were RIGHT on time. We were on a tight schedule and originally given a 2 hour window but told them our preference was noon. They arrived right at noon and we later learned they even skipped getting gas because they didn't want to be late!! So they were on time and out of gas! They did a fantastic job unloading all the rentals and showed us how to put everything together. The linens were all clearly marked and everything was beautiful. Overall I was very pleased with their over the top service and would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone. They were really easy to work with. We rented tables, chairs and all of the dining and drink ware for a wedding form them. I ordered about a month before the wedding. The website was easy to use and and sale people called me after I placed the order to double check everything. There was a very small number of things we had to substitute (like sugar bowls and creamer carafes), but otherwise everything else was exactly as advertised. They called a few days before to confirm delivery and they delivered everything truck a big truck out to the place we rented in Lincoln City. They arrived on time and everything was well packaged and exactly as ordered. The pickup was equally smooth. We were very happy with the whole process and the rentals. Do not rent from The Party Pros. I cannot stress this enough. I ignored the negative yelp reviews against my better judgment. We needed serving-ware and up-lighting for my 700 head count wedding. The Party Pros had the best prices we could find so we went with them. Three weeks prior to the wedding my mother and I personally went to The Party Pros, finalized our order and paid. Everything was to be delivered to the venue by noon on Friday so it could be in place for the rehearsal at 5pm. When we arrived at the venue we discovered that no deliveries have been made. I tried calling The Party Pros but since it was after 5pm I could not get a hold of anyone and there was no emergency contact. I left messages in hopes I would receive a call the next morning and meanwhile made alternate arrangements for the items we needed. The morning of the wedding I kept my cell phone on me or with a bridesmaid until half an hour before the ceremony just in case they called. No call. After the ceremony finished we had a break until the reception so I checked my phone and saw their missed calls and messages. When I called back I had to deal with terrible customer service. On the day of my wedding a woman at The Party Pros was very rudely arguing with me about how they have tried calling all morning and no one has answered (of course I didn't answer, I was getting married). I left the decorator's number in my contract and in voicemails as the day of wedding contact but for whatever reason the decorator's number was not properly recorded anywhere and calling the bride was resorted to. Besides taking a brusque tone with me her only response to the deliveries not being made was "I don't know anything about your account so I don't know why the deliveries weren't made." Besides such an unprofessional statement the woman on the phone made no attempt to correct the company's wrong doing. Finally they said they would deliver the serving-ware in time for the reception. At the reception I noticed the serving-ware that was delivered was not what we had agreed upon in our contract. The bottom line: The Party Pros were the only vendor that did not follow through on their contract as agreed. I had a horrendous experience with the The Party Pros- they caused a great deal of stress on my special day. The Party Pros are an unreliable company with poor customer service. I do not recommend them. UPDATE: About a year later the owner called and apologized for the service we received. I'm not bumping up the stars for that because it does not change how much stress they caused me but perhaps it is a sign that they are trying to turn things around. I appreciate the gesture from the business owner and hope that they are indeed making improvements. read more

This place definitely needs some competition on the West End. I am sure there are places to get this stuff out here besides Party Pros. We recently put together a 30th wedding anniversary party (outdoor) at our place and used Party Pros for the tables, warming server stuff, chairs, and outdoor propane heaters. Ordering the stuff was easy enough by going into the place. However, upon delivery there were broken (non-functional) round tables, both propane heaters were tagged with red things that we found out meant they were known to be broken. The warming stuff was not the best either. In particular the little canisters that hold the Sterno you light. The lid on one didn't hold when I picked it up and it and the Sterno went everywhere. I'm glad I had not lit it yet or I might have had a flaming arm. After discovering the broken and non-working stuff we had to call them back to get stuff that actually worked. The lady on the phone was bordering nasty. According to her it was a big inconvenience to get it right. Eventually, a second delivery was made with replacement parts. I personally checked them out before letting the delivery guys go. By the way, the two stars are for the poor sods that have to deliver stuff for this outfit. They were polite, hard-working and did everything right. One last gripe -- the heaters were delivered with the wrong aluminum tops. The hole configurations did not match the bolt configurations so we had to just secure them with one of the three possible bolts. This meant that instead of mounting nice and even on top to distribute heat nice and even we had to have tilted tops that ended up throwing more heat on one side. Despite all this though, the party was awesome. Enough alcohol can overcome a lot of stuff :) read more

They flat out lied and said that their people called us twice, left a voicemail, and knocked on our doors despite receiving ZERO calls from them and three people being there during the window AND the doors being unlocked. We ended up being forced to house their equipment for 5 extra days which we don't really have the space for. From the first email and phone inquiries, to a visit to their impressive facility to see the chairs and tables, to the pleasant and hard-working delivery and pick-up staff, we were most pleased. This company is the one to go to when you need it done right! I have worked with them a number of times and each time, their service and products exceeds my expectations. On the most recent job they did for me, I dealt with a different person on the phone each time. At first this concerned me, but each and every person I spoke with new about my order and handled the changes I needed deftly and amiably. When I ordered a large quantity of linens in a particular color that was needed for the event, I was told that they didn't have that many and was put on hold for a brief moment. When my contact returned to the call, she informed me that they could give me the linens in the color that I had requested - apparently, they have the ability to make things magically appear. The delivery and pick up of the rentals is always smooth. The delivery personnel are prompt and polite as well as fast, careful and thorough in getting the job done. I couldn't believe my eyes when one of the delivery men was actually running while carrying an 8 foot table on his shoulders! It is sad for me to read these negative reviews about the ONLY rental company I will use in Portland. I coordinate all of the events we host at Domaine Serene Winery and I have received nothing but stellar customer service, each and every time I have called to place and order. We've been working with the Party Pros for the past three years, and our events couldn't be more seamless. It doesn't matter if it's a small dinner for 30, or a huge event for 200. The deliveries and pickups are always on time, and they're extremely flexible when we have to make changes to our order. We even added a few heaters the DAY OF our most recent outdoor dinner - not a small thing when coming to wine country all the way from Hillsboro on a Saturday afternoon! We've worked with plenty of rental companies, and nobody is easier to work with than the Party Pros. You can tell that everyone who works there has pride in what they do. I was very unimpressed with the service I received. I did not look at the reviews before I used them because I couldn't find any other places. When I first ordered they were nice to me. I was only ordering 9 table, 80 chairs and a sound system. I thought that would be easy. I had to call the day before to see when they scheduled my delivery. They said they would be there before noon even though I had asked for before 9. They also said if I wanted it any earlier that I could pay more. I had already paid $225 for delivery. When it did get to the location the tables had paint all over them like they had been used in a shop or at a painting party! At least the chairs were decent. Then the next day when they were to be picked up I had to call them 4 times!! They kept saying they would call me back. I had to be out of my venue before 11 and they didn't care. I waited for a few hours outside for them. I did forget to mention that they kept calling me for directions the day of my wedding when I told they to call my fiance. They need to get their act together and I am surprised they charge so much for the terrible service they provide. By the way, I am not the kind of person who gets up tight over the small things.
