Yikes dude this place is a shithole. Really I sort of like the cavernous warehouse aesthetic to a point, but I'm mostly shitting on this place for its *brutal* alcohol prices and quality. They're the highest of any venue I've been to in quite awhile. A single "vodka" Red Bull (I put that in quotes because.. well, there was no vodka in it) was $8. For anyone wondering, they poor your drinks behind a wall so you can't see how much they're actually adding. As others have said, beers are served in small plastic cups that may be 12oz. But, you factor in that foamy heady topper boy, and you're getting only 10oz or so of the good stuff. Piss beer? At $8 a pop? For 10oz? Eat my sphincter. The music quality itself isn't bad.. and there's no bottleneck when leaving, but it's just hard to recommend this place when it feels so blatantly gougy. If you can't afford rent, maybe.. close down? Or lower your drink prices so more people imbibe.

DJ ZHU! Intersection Lounge is a great venue for local concerts without feeling like a tiny box or outer space like Devos Performance Center. Came here with 4 of my girlfriends and danced the night away to DJ Zhu and his EDM beats and sulky guitar/saxophone musicians. Crowd here is pumping and young. Restrooms are adequate and not in complete sh!t condition. The staff is decent and didn't give us any trouble. However one bouncer did ask us if me and my Asian girl friends were "oriental" and "all related"...a bit ignorant and racist, but my friend quickly remedied the situation and enlightened him and he was receptive to cultural competent education. Otherwise, the dance floor was hot, sweaty bodies everywhere, typical bump 'n grind and stuffiness, A/V was excellent-- it was one kickass raving concert! Will be back for other concerts for sure ;)

The Intersection always does the job it needs to do! Recently I discovered, if there is a show going on up front at the stash then you need to walk to the north end of the building to go in the side door for the main room. This last time, we were able to snag a table off to the side and it was a great way to watch the show. We were able to get off our feet when we wanted, have a table to rest our drinks and get waited on. I would recommend trying to get there early and grabbing one of the tables if you don't want to bother trying to wiggle through people and weaving around the tall people to see a show. Our server was great, a little forgetful but she made up for it by comping a drink. You can also bring in food from the food trucks outside, which I did not know you could do. When you have the table it is almost like a complete dining experience with a live concert! I will definitely be trying to snag tables for future shows.

Great venue, incredible sound and helpful staff. Couldn't say a bad thing about this joint. We'll run joint to see live music.

Small but cool. Great for festivals and things of that nature. You will likely have to stand but for many that's not an issue.

I Miss going to the intersection. Always a great place for a show. Maybe not perfect, but 4 venues in one is pretty cool.

The staff may seem rough on the outer edges, but they are all actually teddy bears once you get to know them. Usually shows are standing room only, which is a drag if you are old like me and opt not to wear orthotics. Luckily, the 9 pm encore show was seated. My old bones appreciated this. Now look below as I'm fangirling in the attached photos! I absolutely adore Alok and their courage to humorously challenge the gender binary and systematically poke holes in the patriarchal system that comprises The USA.

The lineups are often pretty diverse, now offering more local music and the addition of more free events to bring together the community. They've added vintage nights, trivia, and free pinball days which I think is a very important and necessary community good. The venue has a front half with a bar, pinball cabinets, and even some outdoor seating. The back hosts the concert venue with interior bar, seating, and elevated stage. I'm allergic to alcohol so I can't speak to the drinks nor the prices but they have free water jugs readily available which is a lifesaver during shows and is just such a small, nice feature to have access to. I definitely would recommend coming here for a concert, finding some new local music, or establishing a new hang out for your friends.

They host open mic nights (usually free), comedians, and niche musical artists. I believe the venue only sits around 100 people, but the intimate space makes for fun shows where artists can interact with the audience. There is a full service bar in the back and they serve a few snacky-type foods (popcorn, pretzels). Ticket prices range, and I think it's based on who they book. So just be in tune to their website for info. If you park in the "STUDIO PARK(ING)" ramp, they will validate the parking ticket. My experience seeing shows here has always been positive. Midtown is also a part of the Listening Lawn performances in the summer! Overall a 5/5 rating.

One of the nice things about this venue is that there's not really a bad seat there, due to the small size of the room. It's pretty cozy, but I like the more intimate setup for shows. I will say that we could hear the concert happening outside on the lawn throughout the set, which was a bit distracting at times but not too bad. A server will take your order right from your seat - they have a small drink menu and a couple snack options. They only had one mocktail option available - a lemonade drink which was really sweet but tasty. I wish they had the other non-alcoholic drinks that One Twenty Three offers downstairs. Drinks are pretty pricey, and I'd skip the snacks and just head to One Twenty Three for dinner before or after the show. They close out your tab automatically at the end of the night and add a 20% gratuity. You can still ask to see your bill if you want to check the total, etc. I think this is useful so you don't have to flag down your server to close out your tab if it's busy. I still really like this venue, and will continue to seek out shows here.
