I was in Basel back in 2011 and walked through this interesting sculpture but there was no Yelp then and it seems that no one has added it. It's still here in the Theatreplatz.
By artist Richard Serra (b. San Francisco, 1938), this is a massive piece. Larger than lifesize, the four steel slabs are designed to be walked through whether the central empty space or each of the outer shells. It's interesting because when you walk the outer semi-rings, you can't see the exit. Is that a little tension you're feeling, a rise in your blood pressure? It's neat to experience art at this level.
But it wasn't all joy. There is a book that explains the troubles with installation, https://www.amazon.com/Richard-Serra-Intersection/dp/3928762524.
Note that Intersection is considered by some miscreants as a public open-air urinal.
