I went to International Tailor for some alterations after reading some of his (Mukhtar's) online reviews. I took two pair of dress slacks, two sundresses, a sweater dress and a pair of jeans to him for alterations (the sweater dress was a repair). Mukhtar was the ultimate professional and was attentive to my concerns and my requests. He shared his opinion on some of them, which I didn't mind. I'd rather a professional share their thoughts and give me the option to decide rather than just do something that might not look good. He repaired a rip that I had in a Calvin Klein sweater dress with expertise and hemmed my new jeans, slacks and sundress perfectly. I had another sundress that was a bit more labor intensive because it needed to be adjusted in a few places to fit my frame better. He did the work perfectly and within a few days I was able to pick up everything. I was able to try on the clothes, on my own, in his back room so that the marks could be made on the other pieces of clothing that needed alteration. Mr. Mukhtar's shop is small and pretty busy so he has customers coming in and out at times. If you're shy about coming out into the main area when you try on your outfit so he can mark it, you shouldn't be, but just know there may be other customers waiting or coming in and out. Another thing that I like about the shop is he works on each customer, one at a time, so you get undivided attention. While you're in the back trying on your clothes, he may go back to stitching a hem on someone else's clothing or helping the next customer. He multitasks very well and is kind and professional. I paid half up front as a deposit and the remainder when I picked up everything and tried them all on again to make sure the specifications were correct. I will definitely return, the next time I have something that needs to be altered. The parking in this plaza can be a little tight, so keep that in mind, as well. read more

Mukhtar tailored a suit for me I bought at D&K. He did a fine job. Not the fault of Mukhtar, I was having major problems with the zipper. Instead of charging me $25 to replace it -- as most shops would have -- he took a few minutes to repair the zipper and ppoint out how I could avoid it continuing to come off the, he showed me a technique . Best tailor I've ever been to and I get a lot of alterations on my suits for work. I came to Atlanta 2 years ago to get last minute alterations for my brothers wedding and he was able to get it done for me in an hour. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the different suit trends for men. Came back again this weekend for another wedding with last minute alterations and he was able to get it done in a matter of hours. Very knowledgeable and can alway estimate measurements by eye. DO NOT COME HERE! I went here the other day to get an alteration right before close. I went with a friend and the tailor was talking to them about what he could and couldn't do with my outfit. He proceeded to TOUCH ME MULTIPLE TIMES ON MY CROTCH! I was obviously uncomfortable and would move away every time and he still did it 4-5 times in a row for NO REASON.
