Once you walk in, the waiting room and place is great inside. They have cool art on the walls and plenty to look at and talk about. They even had a stack of books for sale in the front by a local author/artist that were alphabet picture books of local Memphis spots. They embody supporting local. Their service is amazing. I've never spent a bunch of time waiting. Everyone there is super friendly. I tend to have some awkward silences when getting haircuts but everyone there is so kind and welcoming that's never been a problem. I've also gotten the best looking cuts of my life there and they've been consistent. I've seen a few stylists and they're all great. They're also super affordable for men's cuts. I have very straight, fine hair. I always want a simple trim and very thin, natural highlights. She does this perfectly for me and then styles my hair in soft waves so I feel like a million bucks when I leave! For the salon itself- there a few pros and cons. I like the design of the salon. It's beautiful and a comfortable place to be. I also like the times they are open because I can always get an appointment after work. I do not really like the little boutique they have. The clothes are all really overpriced for what they are and it just seems a waste of space. Also, you cannot tip your stylist if you pay on a credit card. You have to use their ATM. This combined with the boutique makes the customer feel like they are trying to make a few extra bucks at the expense of the stylists. All companies have figured out a way to get tips on a card- it can't be that hard. Overall- I would definitely recommend you visit to see Lauren for color or cut. She also does extensions!
