The folks here knew what they were doing to keep my hair healthy and glowing. My hair is so soft after my first visit with them I cannot keep my hands off of it! With going two years without a haircut I was afraid that Carmen would have to take a lot off to get rid of the dead ends, but she kept the length beautifully and gave me some layers to lighten my hair! I love the way it looks, and how healthy my hair is. I will definitely be coming back!

I was hoping after a couple days I can style it and allow my curls to air dry.. sadly not the case. I have a triangle shaped hair cut. Ruby treats me like family every time I stroll in and she takes amazing care of my long fine colored hair. The women here actually care about the health of your hair and will never ever cut without consulting with you on length first. If you've had any traumatic haircuts in the past and are scared to get a tiny trim then this is the place for you. This is the best salon for long hair and the only one of its kind.

If you have long hair, this is your place. Maria, the former owner, and inspiration for Madora &…read morethe logo, had trimmed my hair here from childhood into adulthood. Yet, despite Maria being a close family friend, it was through her relationship with my mother, a former Rockette & Wilhelmina model (yes, she did her hair as well) that my hair is what it is today. Here, at Madora George Michael, you will not only receive the best trim of your life, (and hopefully you indulge in their signature treatment as well) but you will learn the proper way to take care of your long hair. How to wear it under coats to prevent damage, how to properly comb when wet and/or dry, how to obtain the best growth, shine, health. The women that work here, have been so for decades. Maria passed a few years ago, but the ladies are still steering the ship. Over the years, many a celebrity, model, newscaster, etc. have frequented Madora due to their expertise with long hair, and specialty color, and style. Guaranteed you will be amazed at how effortlessly your trim is completed, and how fantastic it looks. I use their Cream Rinse, and Shampoo as well (on and off, as I can't always get there, but I did have it shipped upstate a few times while I was in school!) as their intense conditioning treatment. Pro tip: Don't be alarmed if no one is at the front desk, someone will be with you shortly. If you do happen to see someone, ask! Vinnie, Agnes, Ruby, Iris, etc. are the best in the long hair business and learned from George Michael, and Maria themselves. That knowledge in itself is priceless. Also, be aware that a trim, is just a trim. That doesn't include a shampoo.
