Not good is WAY too kind. If you're looking for help for…read moreyour loved one (I'm so very sorry my heart goes out to you) LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!! I NOW find out of her reputation but at the time we were desperately in need of help. Sheliah's business practices are PREDATORY and she gets away with it because her victims (clients) are in dire situations, stressed out, and grieving. She is a disgusting "human being" and I hope there truly is a special place for her when her time comes. She violated her own contract, and kept $1,500 of my father's fixed income as my mother lay helpless and dying. The deposit she requires of $1,500 is her gift from you. DO NOT DISCLOSE YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO THIS If she has done this to you, please feel free to contact me. If we do nothing she will continue to prey on others. Certified letter tha I sent her she refused to pick up and it was returned unopened. Here is the letter I sent: March 27, 2023 Sheliah Hampton Director HCO #554700005 TLC Assistant Living Services Corporation RE: Refund of week March 20, 2023, through March 24, 2023 (in home support services for Janet XXXXX) Attached: Supporting documentation Dear Ms. Hampton: Regarding your refusal to return $1,500.00 paid to you for the week of March 20, 2023. A written two-week notice was provided to you on March 17, 2023, which is required per section 8 of your service agreement to terminate services. Section 8 says that you get a two-week written notice for termination (not a three week and certainly not a four week) which I provided to you. It goes on to say that "you will immediately refund any prepaid fees, but not a 2-week deposit." Meaning the $1,500 I prepaid to you for the week of March 20th is what you are supposed to immediately refund. Please note that this section has zero verbiage regarding your staffing issues, invoices, or when you bill. Section 4 says "anything after the 7th day is an additional weekly rate." Therefore, work after the 7th day, meaning starting the 8th day, would be an additional week, and you would be correct in keeping the $1,500 pre-paid to you. HOWEVER, the agreement was signed on Saturday 2/25 and Section 1 says this is the Start Date. That means Saturday is Day 1. Which makes all Saturdays Day 1. Which makes Fridays Day 7 and THE day I gave you a two-week written notice, which is clearly NOT day 8. Dearest Sheliah Hampton Director of TLC aka S.H. Business Customer Service: Just because you post an email PRIOR TO violating your own contract and keeping the $1,500, does not make you right. Why don't you post your reasons for keeping the deposit and then we can post the contract I signed. Specifically section 8 and section 4. Yeah let's do that!!! I gave you two weeks notice as per the requirements of your contract (March 17, 2023) and you refused to refund $1,500 because you stated "sometimes it's a three week notice and sometimes it's a four week notice" (not in your contract.) You decided my termination date was April 7, 2023 (three weeks later) and not March 31, 2023 (end of two week notice). I ask myself why would someone in the RIGHT need to post an email from before this became an issue (which makes the email irrelevant) Answer: You know what you're doing is wrong and you're finally scared of the consequences. They are coming don't worry. Your posts are only helping me and all the other families you have scammed. Sharona should stay out of it and not involve herself in your lies unless she would like to share in your consequences as an accomplice. A "Thank you card" lol NEVER HAPPENED. You are 100% in the wrong and I have nothing further to say to YOU. I do have plenty to say to licensing authorities, and well everyone just not you. I've wasted enough of my time.

We knew hospice is an end of life service that is supposed to ensure a peaceful and and comfortable end of life. Our experience was terrible. Our mother did not respond to their normal drug protocol and their drugs caused her to be very agitated and irritable. This went on for several days until we had one of their nurses come that realized this was not normal and even made their MD listen to her over her cellphone. She was very good and stayed with us until she finally got her to calm down. This was a terrible experience for our mother and our family. I guess our mom's case was very unusual for them but our family was left with a horrible memory of her final days on earth and death. I'm sorry but I can not recommend Adventist hospice for any family that has a loved one near the end of life. Richard - Stockton California

Although their staff members are full of smiles and will offer many free goodies, do not be fooled! Even if they promise that you will be able to continue your current medications and medical interventions while on Hospice, don't believe a word. Make no mistake, this hospice is about DEATH. It isn't about living life to the fullest. It may not be a bad idea for someone who really is days away from dying, but it certainly is an absolute nightmare for someone who wants to die a NATURAL death in GOD'S time.

My 91 yr old mother had a rapid decline in hospital and opted to be placed on Hospice and die at…read morehome. I was given Tami's name with high praise from Lori at Truewood (my mother's place of residence) Everything was clearly explained to Tami regarding my mother's 24-hr care requirements until her death. All seemed in order and they met us at her home when the ambulance transported her there. Not until then did I learn that the caregivers were NOT licensed and would not be able to administer meds or suction her airway as needed. I had to pay over $12,000 in advance for 14 days of care. The staff were more like companions than caregivers, asking to do laundry or cleaning but clearly unsure how to care for a dying patient. One didn't even turn her for over 6 hrs, her face wasn't washed, her teeth weren't brushed, and I read with much distress that my mother had woken confused in the night and asked for me repeatedly but I was never called or told, even though I had given instructions call me anytime. One caregiver was pretty good with care..she knew how to position my mother, she changed her clothes, gave her a bed bath, and even brushed her hair. Unfortunately, this was the same caregiver that was curled up like a cat on the sofa, shoes off, sound asleep in the middle of the morning and I was in the apartment for a full 15 minutes before she even woke up. The last morning was horrid. We arrived about 9am and the caregiver reported she had just repositioned my mother. When I walked into the room, I could tell from her color that she was gone. She had stopped breathing and the girl didn't even notice! I called hospice and dismissed her as she stood there with saucer eyes and asked me what I wanted her to do! I called Tami a few days later and told her that I felt the staff was unprepared to care for a dying patient. She immediately got defensive, told me that the staff was assigned according to experience and there should have been no issues. She then asked for a good review. The final straw...my mother died after only 5 days and so we were due a refund. She died on the 9th. We didn't receive the check until the 4th of the following month, made out in my DECEASED mother's name and sent to the wrong address. If they had been honest about their limitations, I would never have hired them. We had other options that I would have taken. I cannot honestly recommend this company unless all you need is companion services and/or your loved one is able to speak for themselves.

This review is both observations and recommendations...to both hospital staff and all patients…read more The care was not bad at Adventist Health Sonora ED, nor stellar, but with that said, I will return in the future for care if needed. Observations, the care was efficient, generally good and the staff was friendly, but the lobby triage nurse flinging gloves across the lobby like a basketball is not very professional and doesn't exude confidence for any visitor/patient. Also, greet every patient/visitor upon arrival...quit your side chatter and help your customer. Recommendations: The Physician's Assistant (PA) informed me that since I could move my arm, that I didn't have a torn rotator cuff...it makes me think of the statement that if you can move your arm, leg, etc. that it's not broken! All of which are 100% wrong! Please don't inform patients of such things...until all testing is completed AND don't assume everyone is a drug seeking patient. Having been in healthcare, yes, at the bedside and other positions for a LONG time, patients' prefer honest information...not incorrect data/diagnosis. They also prefer to not be in pain! The same PA told me to take an over-the-counter topical medication for the pain I was experiencing...with no offer of even non-narcotic methods of pain control. I understand that healthcare in general is limiting the use of narcotics (for good reason), but there are other great medications that work wonders (such as Toradol) that could've been offered. Patients/families...be your own advocate!!! If I had only followed the advice of the PA, I wouldn't have pursued a second opinion .. to find out that I have a complete tear of a rotator cuff tendon. This explains the reason for the severe pain I was experiencing and why I still can't lift my arm more than about 15 degrees. I've been referred to Ortho Surgery for evaluation and possible surgery to repair the rotator cuff tendon. Again, care wasn't horrible, but both staff and patients need to remember we're all people and should be taken care of from both sides (healthcare staff and by patient/family members).
