There were roughly 60 of us, and we packed 1000 boxes of food. That only took about an hour, so we were also given a tour of this impressive facility, which helps other local organizations and serves a part of the local emergency services. I came away feeling good about my employer for organizing the event and donating to a good cause.

They are BEYOND nice and never ever judgemental.. I honestly enjoy going and talking with the people there, they always have a smile and genuinely are interested,concerned, compassionate about whatever your situation is! They are open Monday-Thurs If I remember right and Rarely turn people away It is once a month only but they give your PLENTY atleast 4 HEARTY meals and a tons of snacks( im sure every month changes based on donations) never have made me feel insecure or uncomfortable going there like some other food banks/churches. I won't bother to try cooking the other meats they gave me. I think it's really sad that a supposed charity gives out such poor quality goods. They asked many more questions about income,expenses, etc than Lake Cares and were obviously more concerned with the government reimbursements than actually helping the poor. So much for christians being better than atheists.
