In addition, i asked the staff at Gerkens about purchasing a DVR with my current Directv service and they said they can install it for free as well. I also specifically asked Gerkens if i purchased this DVR for $200.00 do i own the recorder or do i need to return it. They told me I OWN the DVR and do not have to return it back to Directv. Well that was an outright lie and probably to obtain my business. I had to return the DVR back to Directv. I was with Directv for 10 years so it was not like i was only with them for a short amount of time. In a nutshell be cautious of shopping at Gerkens as i wil never recommend them.

The guy was very confident about fixing the iPad when I called on the phone, but once they get you in the shop the smoke and mirrors starts. When he says that the repair cost is "market price" and he had to look it up, that is a scam. These guys are fast talking scammers who might as well be selling used cars, and if their parking lot was bigger they might be doing so. This place of business is really hard to find, so consider yourself lucky if you don't find it.

Apple was selling the MacBook for $999 and MacConnection was selling the same one for $975 plus a $105 mail in rebate. Ding ding, I went with Mac Connection. Customer service called me to verify my order (which was nice, because that deals with fraud) and then called me on the landline associated with my credit card. My computer shipped for free, I paid NO tax (because they're in NH and I'm in CA), and it arrived via UPS 5 days later. I will definitely refer Mac/PC Connection to friends and family.
