As a young female it is hard to feel that you aren't getting ripped off by a mechanic but I have never felt this way here. If you need a trustworthy place for car service/inspection, this is place to go. *I haven't needed them for towing but can't imagine the experience would be any different.

The police informed me that the tow truck would drop me off nearby or bring me to the shop. Since I was just south of exit 6 on route three I asked to be dropped off right off exit 6. The tow truck told me it would be $250 to be dropped off anywhere but the tow truck yard. I told him I just needed to be dropped off right off the exit and he pointed south on route three and said rudely, "I'm going THAT way". When I found out the shop was in , I was extremely confused. He obviously had to turn around and go north on route three past the exit I was asking to be dropped off on. I called the next morning, and asked what their policy was for being dropped off nearby. The man on the phone informed me that it was free to be dropped off right off an exit. I then told him what I was told the previous night and he told me that "I was hysterical and ran straight to the police officer." I then asked him how he knew who I was and informed him that was not what happened. Unfortunately, I had the unpleasant experience of having to go there to sign a written release so my insurance could pick up my vehicle. When I arrived, I said a friendly hello to the man at the counter to which he put up a finger and said "one moment" without looking up from his computer screen. I had to sign a waiver, releasing them of all liability if I fell on the ice rink that is their property. After, I was told I could get my personal belongings out of my vehicle, but I could not find it in the tow yard. I would avoid this company at all in the future. I do not know how much my insurance will have to pay or how much I am going to have to pitch in, but I am very unhappy with the customer service, lies, and general sketchiness of this company.

They took my car, drove me home, and called me within a half hour with an estimate, which was much less than I expected. They were booked for the next day and didn't want to leave me stranded. They picked me back up and I have my car back! Every single person I came in contact with was kind and helpful. They went out of their way for me and I will be a life long customer, telling everyone in need of car repairs to go to Dubes. I can't thank them enough. Faith in humanity restored.

The guy doing the inspection might have had the worst attitude I've seen. He barked at me not to pull it in, that was about all the communication he had with me, didn't say a word, didn't even look at me once. Ok, maybe he was having a bad day, whatever, I went into the office to pay and there was 3 people sitting there and, again, not one acknowledged me or looked at me, finally one guy just blurted out what I owe, I paid him, he gave me my change, and that was it, not even a thanks or anything. Its too bad cause I just moved to Winchendon last year and was looking for a new mechanic for my vehicles and my girlfriends vehicles, but it sure as hell isn't going to be this place, I can't understand how they have any positive reviews with employees like this.

They said the VTEC solenoid needed to be replaced. I trusted them and let them replace it in addition to the valve cover gasket. After this my car did not run and would not idle and stalled out driving it out of the place when they said it was all set to be picked up. They spent the next two weeks trying to figure out what was wrong with it and did not correctly fix it. I ended up having to bring it to Honda directly. Honda was able to fix it in Concord in one day. All the additional diagnostic work with Brutus cost me over $800 and they still couldn't fix it, this $800 did not include the money I had to pay Honda to fix what Brutus had done. They then offered me a credit for that work. We brought my wife's Nissan versa in for something simple. We told them the AC wasn't working. It had already had a vacuum test done and been recharged with uv leak detector added and still didn't work previous to bringing to them. We also suspected it had an exhaust leak. They did another vacuum test refilled it again even though we had told them it had already been done and then they said it could not be verified whether the the AC system worked. They also said they could not fix the exhaust leak and we'd need to bring it to a different shop. They then said the charge would be $160 we picked up my wife's car and did not pay this. We had requested they call us before doing any work. They never called my wife. They sent me a text message even though it is not my car that the work was completed. They never got authorization to do the work after they inspected it. Do not trust these people do not work with them. They do not know what they're doing. Additional update. We brought my wife's car to exhaust shop to be repaired. They said the exhaust leak was not in the piping as Brutus had told us but was in the gasket and it was a simple gasket replacement and they were able to do it in under 2 hours. Once again Brutus was not able tocorrectly use the issue and it was a simple fix they could have done if they understood what they were doing.
