Cured Salmon is readily available in the Club lounge which was a nice treat

An outstanding location in downtown Toronto with friendly and knowledgeable staff and very nice accommodations. Tip: if you have access to obtain Ambassador status it adds more value to your stay and I would also recommend acquiring the club lounge access as we found it to be well worth it and with some great breakfast, and evening social reception.

I really loved my suit. It was comfortable and elegant. I loved how when you enter the room you have to walk around a corner to access the room. I had a great view. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was really clean and spacious. The shower had great water pressure. Nice plush soft towels, robe, and complementary slippers. The concierge service A+. The luxury car service to the airport for an excellent price was chef's kiss. The hotel was a highlight in the trip.

Picked this hotel to be close to the convention center, and it was a great choice. Nice rooms and very close to many places of interest. The elevators require a key card to use which made me feel safe traveling alone. Loved my room and bathroom. Favorite shower I've had in a hotel in a long time. The lobby is beautiful and the employees were very friendly and helpful. There is a spa on the 3rd floor and a necessities store in the lower lobby.

The biggest selling point of this hotel? Location, hands down. It's right next door to the convention center, a block from Union Station, and an easy walk to the CN Tower and aquarium. You've also got plenty of solid dining options nearby, so you're not stuck eating at your hotel unless you want to. If you're lucky enough to snag a lake-facing room, you'll get a great view -- and on a clear day, you might even catch the faint outline of Niagara Falls off in the distance. Location score: 10/10. Inside, the hotel is exactly what you'd expect from a large convention property. The rooms are clean and comfortable but definitely ready for a refresh. I might be wrong, but the decor looks pretty much the same as it did back in 2017. It's not bad, just a little tired. One nice surprise? The bathroom amenities are Bal d'Afrique by Byredo. Easily one of my favorite scents and a very nice touch that gives the stay a subtle upgrade. As for in-room coffee... well, I got a Keurig, which was fine. Though a few of my colleagues had Nespresso machines, so maybe I missed the room lottery on that one. Azure, the restaurant in the lobby, is perfectly convenient but not exactly memorable. Think classic hotel restaurant -- good for a quick breakfast or room service backup, but you're not going to tell your friends about it later. The staff is great, though. Everyone was kind and helpful, and a special shoutout to David at the front desk who was both pleasant and efficient. If you're in Toronto for a conference or want a well-located home base with good views, friendly service, and fancy toiletries, this place does the job. Just maybe request the Nespresso.

Finally posting a review on the property after 10+ visits. This hotel is perfect if you are visiting the adjacent convention centre. As an IHG property you will have a few member perks, I recommend booking the club level if available. Rooms are well appointed, with bath robes, slippers, pod coffee machine and blackout drapes. The club level was very good this time, with expanded offerings and services. Plentiful breakfast with warm and cold options, happy hour from 5-7 pm and all day beverages was super convenient. I feel this property service, amenities and location are top notch and well suited to business travellers.

The view! Hard to see, but the windows could have used a good wash.

My husband and worked an event hosted in the convention center at the InterContinental and stayed with them for about two weeks. I would recommend... with a few caveats. The room we stayed in was very nice. We had a view of the water and the CN tower through our large windows. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large and clean, with a lovely rain shower! The mini bar was fully stocked, and the room service menu was FULL of delicious options! We did not have time to visit the pool or the spa, but they looked very nice as well. Now for the caveats. The windows were large and beautiful but could have used a good cleaning. The shower door had a defect where - no matter how it was positioned - it leaked copious amounts of water on the floor and required the sacrifice of one of our plush towels. The bathroom also could have benefitted from a fan, the steam quickly built up and made everything wet. The robes provided were not all that comfortable and kind of scratchy. The mini bar and room service menu, full of delicious options, were incredibly expensive. One tiny container of peanut M&Ms was $16 CAD! We did enjoy our stay, but with a couple of easy improvements the InterContinental could take the experience from good to great! Pro tip: they have no self laundry on site, and they want to charge $13 CAD per tshirt for their laundry service! Do yourself a favor and bring a small amount of laundry detergent with you. The sink in the bathroom is more than sufficiently large to hand wash some items!

I stayed at the InterContinental for a work, to be close to my company's downtown Toronto office. Overall, I had a good experience here and would recommend the hotel for several reasons: -The location is excellent for those who need to be downtown in the business district. A lot of places are either walkable, or close to transit -Check in and out process was smooth and efficient -Room was clean and spacious The only downsides of my stay here (which weren't major issues to me): -The unit didn't come with a fridge -The swimming pool and hot tub are both small. With a restriction on the number of people who could be there at the same time, you might not be able to get in during busy periods -The stay does not come with complimentary breakfast

Clean hotel and amazing staff. I also got to stay on the highest floor which was cool because the view was amazing they also had great toiletries and it's located practically near everything right in the heart of downtown I loved my stay here!

I have stayed in numerous hotels throughout all my travels around the world, and the Intercontinental in Toronto gives me mixed feelings. Bear with me as I explain each thing that led to this 3-star review. Lobby & Exterior: The outside is a unique geometrical shape design that looks likes it's been around for a while. The interior of the lobby is very luxurious in appearance, but they place the check in desk in the back of the lobby from the doors. Restaurant looks up-scale, but I did not go to it. I saw some boutique type stores, but did not go into them. Check-In: Pretty easy check-in process. Staff was friendly and they explain which amenities (i.e. pool, spa, gym) are not available, but they made arrangements with other local hotels if I wanted to use them. They didn't ask me if I had been there before (which I haven't) and they advised I can speak to concierge with any additional questions about local attractions. Room: The room was nice looking, had a nice king size bed, good view of the lakes and CN Tower, walk-in shower, desk, TV (yada yada yada) and a locked mini fridge. Yup, mini fridge with plenty of drinks in it that has this plastic tab you need to break off to access it. There is no other fridge so if you want to store stuff, you need to pay $25 for them to prepare a fridge to store any food or drinks you bring to your room. Coffee maker is in then bottom drawer of a cabinet and too far from any outlet to plug in. I had to plug it into the bathroom for convenience. I am thankful they offer memory foam pillows as I find them more comfortable than the down ones that require you to layer them to get some form of comfort. Shower had a hand shower head and one of those rain ones from the ceiling. Room Service: EXPENSIVE is probably the one word I would use to describe it. $24 CAD for chicken fingers and fries. They only give you 4 fingers which looked like I could have bought them in the frozen section of a supermarket. They had had a brisket burger which was good, but also cost $28 CAD and it only came with fries. A side of fries is $10 CAD on its own. The one time I decided to get room service, the person wheels the cart into my room and then immediately exits the room without saying anything. I guess I need to locate the check and fill it out and then open the door and hand it to the person delivering it. Laundry: I don't ever use the laundry services at a hotel, but I found the prices to be decent so I had my suit dry cleaned and my shirts pressed. If you get it to them by 8:30am, they can guarantee it back in your room by 8pm. Again concierge came up, at my request, to get the bag and they kept their distance from me and made me walk into the hall bit to hand the bag to them. I"ll explain my staff review next. Everything came back as requested and I was happy with that service. Staff: Lobby staff is friendly and opens doors to get int and out. The staff that go to your room (food, laundry) all made me feel like I was some contagious person and that their interactions with me would cause them to get sick or something. I would normally empathize, but the lack of wearing mask made me realize they just prefer not to interact with guests. If you are going to advertise yourself as luxury, your staff better treat their customers with More respect and not like we are carrying an airborne virus. The staff interactions and the small amenity quirks (no fridge for personal use, coffee maker) are what lead to a 3-start review. I would consider staying here again if taken care of by my business. I would not consider this for personal travel.

**Christmas Cheers with a Touch of Glam**…read more Celebrated a Christmas party at Storys Building, and the experience was a mix of luxury, fun, and high energy. The first two floors are dedicated to dinner seating, while the third floor hosts parties and gatherings. The space worked, but with the number of people invited, it felt a bit tight -- something to keep in mind for larger groups. The vibe was fantastic. Drinks were expertly crafted, the bartenders were attentive, and a DJ kept the energy flowing in the background. As the night progressed, everyone hit the dance floor, and the party truly came alive. Bathrooms were plentiful and well-maintained, and the thoughtful touch of wellness kits in the ladies' room added a hint of luxury. One minor hiccup was the coat check -- it was a bit congested and struggled to accommodate all the coats. But my biggest suggestion for improvement would be the addition of an elevator. Climbing three floors in heels and dresses proved challenging for many, and an elevator would make the space more accessible without taking away from its elegance. Overall, Storys Building delivers a lively, luxurious, and memorable party experience. The energy, drinks, and attention to detail make it a spot worth revisiting -- just come prepared for a little stair workout if you're headed to the third floor.

I put a pair of sunglasses in my backpack's front pocket, I fully expected it to be crushed during coat check. The staff voluntarily assured me that they would make sure it was protected. I've been to other events where the coat check staff had lost my jacket, so the extra care on my belongings added to the positive experience. The staff there were pleasant and even remembered my face when I checked out my coat on the way out. The hors d'oeuvres were great, I enjoyed everything I tried, like the mini sliders, fried chicken, and bruschetta. We also had a taco station that was good too. I didn't expect any less since they are under the same hospitality group as Byblos and Patria, which I've dined at before and enjoyed. The biggest plus is the location, at the heart of the Entertainment District. It's close to many offices and the Financial District. Our cocktail hour ended in 2hrs but there are plenty of bars nearby to extend the get together for another drink. For example, Grace O'Malley's is just across the street and not too busy to grab a seat on a weekday night.

As a few examples of mismanagement of our event: Not informing our guests of the silent vegetarian option despite providing allergy list, overcharging us on our final bill incorrectly but insisting it was correct, sending our event info (with our personal information visible) to another party without an apology, chasing us for payment on dates that did not align with our contract. The level of unprofessionalism is appalling for a venue of this scale, but what pushed things over the top was the dismissive attitude that Derek took towards our concerns. As an example, when raising concerns that our final invoice matching our estimate exactly was impossible, Derek disregarded it as a "happy coincidence" despite further investigation showing that the venue had just billed us wrong. This type of tone, and lack of accountability, was consistent in all our communications with him. Mistakes happen, but the flippant attitude that Derek spoke to us with incredibly insulting. While the website states that they have one of the last manually operated elevators city, I was unfortunately not able to be able to check that out. But I did get a chance to check out their Oval Boardroom and the gallery downstairs where the movie was screened. unfortunaly the event was pretty low lit (you know being Halloween and all) so I wasn't able to really admire the venue, but it seemed great for a medium sized event (I'm not great at guessing numbers but I'd say 150-ish people). The Oval Boardroom amongst a few other smaller rooms was where we spent an hour or so with actors who would act out specific scenes from the movie. It is definitely a very interesting space, again, I didn't get a chance to really walk around to see what some of the items that were a part of the Heritage Centre's deco were like, but there seemed to be a few interesting looking frames around. I'm not sure who catered the food, so I can't really speak for any of the actual venues food, we didn't have hor d'oeuvre served which is usually the case for 360 screenings, so I'm not sure if that was due to the venue or our event hosts. I would like to come and check this space out during the day when I would have a better chance to check it out, but until that happens the Ontario Heritage Centre has a fan in me!

As Urgent as this was, we received a response almost immediately from an inquiry request from Andrew. We set up a walk through tour of the facility for the next day. This Banquet Hall is within a "strip mall" like building. To my surprise, there are multiple Banquet rooms (4 rooms total) that they have to offer accordingly to your guest count. ALL of the rooms are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Clean, spacious, and up to date renovations that surely will impress you and your guests. They offer a variety of packages & work with multiple vendors to make it your one stop shop. The Venue is located in a good area & the Pricing point is shockingly affordable. I say shockingly bc you would expect for the way this venue is set up to be far more costly than what it is. They have a good sized on site kitchen for use. Multiple small office rooms to use for party purposes (if available and upon request). Clean spacious bathrooms. Handicap accessible on the top floor. They do not have a ramp or elevator that leads to the downstair banquet rooms, only stairs. Plenty of parking on the backside of the building as well as street parking in front. Overall just an absolute gorgeous facility! We are so grateful to Marianne & Andrew for their phenomenal service. It felt like we were talking and dealing with family & Marianne made sure to take care of us in every way possible. She really was looking out for the well being of our family and took into consideration of our situation. She is the absolute Best! I am looking forward to our next big event so we can host it here. Forreal though, the run Soho House had can only be rivaled by 2011-2015 Whole Foods. You really had to be there... but like any other prime, Father Time always catches up. I was set to do a full rise and fall piece on the Soho House right here on Yelp but in my research, I stumbled upon an article by Lydia Moynihan in the NY Post and she nailed it. I really didn't have much to add so go over and read that if you have a sec. Shoutout to Lydia. Instead, I'll just recap our experience here like any other boring Yelp Review. We came to this Toronto location before the Taylor Swift concert, and I was pleasantly surprised. It felt like prime Soho House. A beautiful, discrete brick building with an old school interior. Whoever designed this one needs a raise. I'm so tired of the cookie cutter half-assed modern architecture. The ones in LA and NY now feel like it is just a bunch of dorks trying to be seen by God knows who. There is no soul in those locations. We grabbed a drink in the lobby and went upstairs for our 5pm dinner. I domed a couple of negronis and we split a margherita pizza and a bottle of pinot noir before our mains arrived. I got the rigatoni, per the waitresses recommendation because she had a thick Italian accent. Big truss. She wasn't lying either, that rigatoni went crazy. I took like 30 pictures before a staff member came over and said no pictures, as I didn't know that was still a rule here... please don't beat me up. We closed dinner with a couple espresso martinis before setting off on foot to go see Big Tay put on a show. She really did her thing. There's affordable parking around the area. It was awkward to be told that the coat checks are at the back of the venue, because you had to walk down the aisle and basically walk all the way to where the groom is getting ready. The chairs were not the most comfortable, and they were wooden, so they were quite noisy. Also, there is not a lot of seating, so many people are standing in the front area, even thought it was probably a wedding of less than 75 guests. The upper dining areas is nice; the solarium was bright and beautiful. However, the shape of the dining area is a giant ring, which means there isn't really a central place for the wedding couple/family to sit. Staff: Friendly staff, however they need to work on their attentiveness. Half of the table I was seated at was served, coffee/tea and the other half didn't get served. And no one was checking in on us. When we finally got the attention of one of the people, he directed us to ask a server instead (guess he wasn't a server?!). Food: Very good food.
