A solid location for access to downtown restaurants and definitely a good spot if you plan on participating in the race weekend activities. We did have the pleasure of meeting the marathon winner on the way up to the rooms which was wonderful. Valet/overnight parking is available for only $35 a night which is a bargain these days. Personnel were super friendly and helpful. However, was a little disappointed at some of the finishes, and as the saying goes, the devil's in the details. We were upgraded to a corner room with a beautiful view of the city. Many items in the room either didn't work or broken or missing to include curtains that didn't close properly, HVAC that did not work at all, missing hooks on the back of the door and worn surfaces. The room was clean. There is a rather large gym with a number of pieces of equipment, however TVs are not operable and ellipticals are missing cupholders. Having recently stayed at the InterContinental Midtown Manhattan, expectations were high. This hotel does happen to have an Intercontinental club. However, there was seldom anyone there to provide alcoholic beverages. Food was left out for hours at a time (breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon, and potatoes) and hors d'oeuvres in the afternoon (cheese / crackers and several fried items that were non-edible). There is a restaurant on site that offers buffet breakfast (same food in the InterContinental club) , lunch/dinner, but is quite frankly a little pricey. A decent hotel in a good location, but little bit more attention to the little things could make quite a difference at this hotel.

My recent stay at InterContinental was very challenging to say the least. When I first pulled up to the hotel, I saw the sign that said 'valet only' so you would think that you would be greeted by valet somewhat immediately, however I was not. After waiting a few moments, I went into the hotel and noticed a few guys hanging out at the valet booth. As I walked past them to get to the front desk, one of them finally greeted me and asked if I was checking in. I answered 'yes' and continued to walk to the front desk and then I noticed all of a sudden the valet staff busted out laughing. Not sure if they were laughing at me or not, but IMO, it was perceived as such, which was rude. Now about my actual stay. One day in, I noticed that my air would not turn off, even though I had it all the way on 80 degrees. It had been set to 80 degrees for a few hours, but it was constantly blowing very cold air. I then went downstairs to advise, and the front desk staff didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. They decided to put me into another room. Once they stated that they were going to make me change rooms, it canceled my current room keys. Due to this, they had to get a staff member to follow me to the room and open the door so I could get my items together to change rooms. After I was led into my previous room. I was given my new keys and the staff member left. After I packed up in about 10 minutes, I went to the new room and the keys did not work. I saw that there was a phone in the hallway and attempted to call the front desk, however, the phone did not work. I then found the hotel's number on my cell phone and called the front desk and explained the issue. I was then put on hold and after a few minutes of being on hold, someone else answered the phone and I had to re-explain the issue. They stated that they will have to send another staff member up to let me into the new room with new keys. However, that took another 10 minutes or so. At this point, I was in the middle of the hallway for almost 20-25 minutes with my stuff in hand, waiting to get into a new room, which was so inconvenient. Next, after a day or so in the new room, the air simply would not turn on. I called down to the front desk and they said they would send a maintenance guy and I was told he would be there in 10 to 15 minutes, however after waiting 30 minutes or so in a hot room, I ended up leaving. Luckily, they did however fix my air by the time I returned to the room. Between dealing with valet service, which costs almost $40 a night to the air over working and then not working at all and also dealing with the on-site restaurant who served me a very dry grilled chicken sandwich, I would say that this was not a good/comfortable stay at the Intercontinental hotel.

I can summarize this review in one sentence: Update the rooms, and this would easily be a 5-star hotel. Everything about this hotel - the service, the Club lounge, the overall ambiance, the location, the food, etc. - was stellar ... except the rooms still felt outdated and in need of a real makeover and shift. There were several things broken in addition to ragged carpet and just a bit of a musty feel. Otherwise, we had a really good stay and were so appreciative of how wonderful the hotel staff was with our little 3-year old guy. The location was perfect as well - easy to get to many things and walk around the area to different parks, museums, downtown areas, and so forth. Also, the prices are excessively great, particularly for an InterContinental hotel. Don't think about it - this is a solid place to stay!

would give zero stars if I could. Attempted to stay overnight. Our first room was coated in a thick dust and the floors were scratched and in disrepair. the second room seemed okay. we went out to our show, came back and tried to order room service. mind you, we were ordering within the advertised times and we were calling and the phone would answer and would be hung up. finally got through and we were told they can't do room service because they had their server go home, fine we went and picked up our own food. by the time we were heading to bed we were exhausted. turning down the bed we found fresh dried blood on the pillowcase. By then, all my faith in the hotel was completely gone. We packed up and checked out. the responses from the hotel and ihg have been completely frustrating. our entire vacation we planned for months was completely derailed and they think a refund on the room is considered goodwill. they have also offered points but not enough to cover even a few hours at another hotel in the chain. AVOID at all costs.

MY DAUGHTER'S WEDDING RECEPTION WAS RUINED My daughter was married and had her reception at ICH on August 31, 2024 Jennifer, the banquet/wedding manager, approached me and asked how I wanted the tables at reception decorated - the only thing needed were candles. Jennifer was shown the below left side picture. I also described exactly what I wanted: place all 500 candles that I provided on the tables. That was it. Jennifer only used 1/3 of them. I asked her where they all were and she said enough candles were placed, and it looked elegant. I thought the bride made that decision. Please see the right picture below. The candles WERE the decorations! I couldn't have been more disappointed. The entire ambiance at my daughter's wedding was ruined. A once in a lifetime event.

This location is in downtown St. Paul and is close to lots of office buildings and restaurants. It's about a 20 min drive to the MSP airport and is convenient. There is a coffee shop in the lobby across from the Citizen restaurant that's located inside this hotel. The rooms are partially updated, but could use a paint job. I came in the winter time, so it wasn't humid and didn't smell. Compared to the Doubletree, I thought the room here was slightly nicer. The bed was comfortable. My room faced the Mississippi River and there were barge noises that I heard throughout the night, but nothing that kept me up. There's a safe and mini refridgerator in the room (no microwave), and some have bathtubs. Intercontinental is part of the IHG chain (Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Candlewood, etc). .|\---/| | o_o | .\_^_/..2023

They staff knowingly and willingly put the entire building in danger by allowing a pre planned police raid to occur on the premise with the building full of guests. The staff found fentanyl inside a room. And instead of thinking about the well-being of their other guests they put all of us in immediate danger by calling the police. And allowing the raid to take place inside the hotel. https://kstp.com/kstp-news/local-news/investigation-underway-after-overnight-incident-involving-swat-team-at-st-pauls-intercontinental-hotel/ They gave no indication of concern for any of their guests. Not efforts to let us know what was happening. And they actively hid information from the guests. Purposely keeping us in the dark. I thought the elevator was broken and instead of telling me there were armed police and an active shooter on the premise their response was completely lacking in any danger just to stay in my room. No reason why. When I asked for more information about this incident. I was threatened to be kicked from the hotel. Then they tried to bribe me with some chips and candy like I'm a child. Shame on you guys...

Red "blood" fingerprints smeared on wall.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. The room I got was not clean. Musty smelling, Nats flying around, debris on floor, and worst of red fingerprints which looked like blood smeared on the wall. I packed up immediately and didn't even bother staying the night. I was charged for 1 night and I contacted the Director Julia M. multiple times and to resolve issue (useless) as I did not deserve to have to pay for the night. I wouldn't even entertain staying in another room. Hotel is just gross.

Clean, classy and cosmopolitan. Close to Xcel concert venue. You can walk. Beautiful view of the riverfront from the upper floors. Problems: Parking. You must use the valet. Entry to the hotel is on massively busy, riverfront street and there is no room to pull up to get to the valet. We were two blocks down, stuck in traffic as we approached the hotel at a snail's pace. Honestly, we weren't even sure what we were supposed to be doing. We were tired from driving and anxious to get out of the car. It was obvious most other cars weren't sure what to do either. Were weren't even positive we were in the the right place. Cars tried to shuffle in and out of the line. The whole ordeal took a long time and left me extremely frazzled. Beds. I had booked the room at least a week in advance and positively chose one with two queen beds. We ended up with one king. We could have tried to get out changed, but after the parking ordeal the last thing we wanted to do was go back to the crowded lobby and deal with living all our luggage around, etc.

Rough Intercontinental Experience.... Let's start off by saying I've never had a bad experience at any intercontinental in all my travels... Desk girl was polite at check in. Room 615: I can only say this is one tiny room! The end bed cannot be entered or existed without being inside the curtains and crawling over a sleeping wife. The pictures looked so spacious... I am guessing the air circulation for the entire building or something is below us on the roof out the window. The constant humming and noise was relentless. I found it impossible to fall asleep. Ugh... checking out of here in the am with anticipation! LH bed mattress seems as it someone brought their 1,200 pound pet horse into the room and ultimately collapsed the mattress and springs. Get in or out and you will wake your kids up with the surprisingly loud squeaks... The other bed mattress doesn't have this effect, but feels worn out still. Sheets: somehow I am up now at 1am while my wife and son who can sleep through anything are passed out. These sheets have me itching like crazy. My wife mentioned this but still fell asleep at 9pm. The itching is driving me crazy as I type this! I hope I don't have bug bites in the am. Parking lot: 90 degrees outside in the day and you go into the dark cave of a dirty parking garage. Seems salt soaked from winter still in July... Cracked and crumbling concrete beams feel less than safe. Elevator 3 smells like greasy fast food, 6th floor hallway like marijuana... Business center: I needed to print a contract to sign and for some reason I was supposed to pay $7.95 to use the computer to print something only to find out the printer had no black ink so I cannot print. Intercontinental dropped the ball at this location! Did I mention the itchy bedsheets!?!!!!! Day 1 of vacation and I am ready to

When we initially booked A'BULAE, we were impressed by the concept of an all-inclusive venue with dedicated vendors and day-of support. Unfortunately, what followed was a series of issues that culminated in a wedding day that felt disorganized and unsupported, despite all our planning efforts. 1. Cocktail hour bar service was severely understaffed, with only two bartenders for nearly 200 guests. Long lines led many guests to skip drinks entirely, despite this being a prominently featured and premium service. 2. Event coordination was lacking across the board. Our final updates were never reflected in the event documents. Tables and centerpieces weren't set when we arrived. Our monogram was never displayed. The rehearsal was completely unstructured, and our multiple attempts to hire a day-of coordinator were ignored. 3. Dinner was delayed by over an hour, with numerous guests receiving cold entrées. This disrupted the timeline and detracted from the guest experience. 4. The early access suite was not ready when we arrived, and no staff were present (at least not any that had any idea what was going on) during the hours we paid premium price for. Beverages ordered in advance for the morning were delivered far too late to be enjoyed. 5. Three uninvited individuals gained access to our wedding, ate and drank, and were caught smoking marijuana on the patio. No staff intervened; a family member had to address it. When we raised this afterward, management acknowledged that their security staff had no way to identify or remove uninvited individuals -- raising serious concerns about the purpose and effectiveness of security. In response to our feedback, the General Manager stated that they would use our wedding as a "learning experience" for future events. While perhaps well-intended, this reaction felt dismissive and insufficient given the seriousness of the issues. Even after the wedding, itemized receipts have not been provided, despite repeated requests. After discussing what steps were needed to rectify these grievances, there was yet another administrative error and significant delay, that has put us in a position today - nearly two months later, where we are still waiting on A'BULAE to follow through on promises made in writing. For a venue that promises high-end, all-inclusive coordination, A'BULAE failed to deliver on the most basic expectations. Communication was unreliable throughout the planning process, and the burden of managing key details ultimately fell on us and our families. We would not recommend A'BULAE to other couples.

We booked all three rooms back in Fall of '23 and paid our deposit and were excited to get planning come May this year. We got to a month before the event and hadn't heard anything from the Event Coordinator regarding current menu, bar, timing, anything. Three weeks prior to the event we reached out and heard nothing for a week. Two weeks out we followed up and found out the Event Coordinator had changed from the one we booked with and the new one was out for an indeterminate period of time with a family emergency. We worked as best we could with the Event Captain but ended up with incorrect menus and pricing and were finally told the Event Coordinator would be back the Monday of our event week and it would be handled then. We got finalized menus and pricing 36 hours before our event. This was extremely stressful, however, we empathized with the Event Coordinator and were assured the event itself would be great. On the day, we arrived and the staff setting up was unsure how many chairs we wanted. They didn't know which equipment we had paid for to use that needed to be set up. They didn't know what the event was for. They were all very nice and let us know they had extremely limited information about our event which was very concerning for us. The Event Coordinator was present for about 5 mins to ask us about a backup wine if ours ran out and that was it (it did run out because there was only one bottle). There was no Event Captain, and the Coordinator was not on hand and (according to staff) unreachable during the event. We had agreed upon several things including a finite amount to pay for "open bar" and then switching to card after that point and we found out only AFTER we met our minimum that they were never told/weren't prepared to take cards. At that point, our options were no drinks (N/A or otherwise) for the last 3 hours or so of our event or we could just keep paying. So we ended up paying much more than was quoted/agreed upon due to lack of communication/oversight. We were told that guests could visit the attached Blue Stem bar, but it closed two hours before our event ended. We also had guests with dietary preferences/restrictions and had ordered vegan options and gluten free cake. We had asked if these could be explicitly labeled to avoid confusion and were told "yes" and on the day it did not happen so many of our guests were unaware there was anything they could eat at our reception. We were also told we could take our leftovers home and we only got cake when there was a lot of food left when they took it away. The sternos were out for some period of time and we couldn't find someone to help with that. The bar was left unattended. The bartenders were serving and refilling alcohol table to table (which we did not want or ask for), and did not pass appetizers as agreed upon. We reached out to the owner, twice, following our event to discuss our concerns to no avail. We LOVE French Meadow and are just heartbroken to have had this experience with them. The day of our wedding, everyone there was immensely helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We truly owe them the world for making our wedding day so special! The room is perfect. We added floral centerpieces, but the room itself was setup exactly how we wanted, the chairs outside were moved once for our ceremony and then again for our first dance. The lighting both inside and out was more than we could have imagined. We were able to play our own music (a friend just had to manage the playlist), which was super easy! The FOOD, OH MY GOSH THE FOOD! So superb, we got so many compliments from our friends and family about how wonderful the food was. We got to choose 4 food options for our guests and only heard wonderful things about each entree. The cake was also super wonderful and delicious. We would recommend the Nord Room to anyone looking for an intimate wedding location. It was such an easy day (seriously, nothing went wrong!) and we couldn't have asked for a better staff or location. We had a beautiful day and we owe much of that to the wonderful folks at French Meadow!
