First hostel experience because most city-center hotels were booked (there was a soccer game and also Oktoberfest). Could've been worse. They have a 3 day special for $57 if you stay in a 6-person room. I paid more than that, and they made me move to an 8-person suite for my last 2 nights. Because I had to move I essentially had no room between 11am (checkout deadline) and 2pm (checkin starts). Sheets and bathrooms are clean I guess. The lobby is also fine but can get quite noisy. Free tea but breakfast is not free. read more

Somewhat of a hike from the train station and the main part of the city, but it's definitely worth the stay. The staff is really knowledgable about Stuttgart as well.
