Nice hotel, good location, friendly staff. I attended a conference here with some co-workers and was pleased with everything. Underground parking for an extra charge. Rooms were comfortable and the gym was ok despite being kinda small. I would recommend staying here if in Stuttgart. read more

From the pictures and some of the reviews of this hotel I really thought this was going to be a luxurious stay while in Stuttgart. There were not a lot hotel choices but this one was close to the base a friend lives on and we wanted to be close. When we checked in it seemed to go fine. We got our key and the front desk wrote down our room number. She then told me the room number and I told her she said a different number than the one written down. She said the one she told me was right so we took our key and bags and went up to the room. When we opened the room, we found a guy jumping out of the bed, completely shocked. We apologized profusely and backed out. When I went downstairs, the manger came over and asked what happened. I told him and he said that we went to the wrong room. I advised that I understand that but we were told the wrong number. He argued that the right one was written down. I said okay but they key worked for the room she said and he just started getting angry with me and saying it was my fault. But if it was my fault, why did the key work? They were so rude about it. I also put two people on their serration apparently but there was my nephew. I had forgotten to include him and they got rude about it and charged me additional fees for him. I was okay with it. It was a mistake when I was searching for hotels but he was really rude about it. We ended up needing to stay another night and I put all three the second night but when we got to our room still didn't have enough towels so I don't understand it. Also, this is incredibly close to the train. They had the heat on. We could not turn on the A/C so we slept with the window open and the trains were very loud. Overall, just not a great stay. The staff are subpar and act like you are the issue when they create problems. Still don't know how the key working on the wrong room was my fault. Only positives, it looks nice, the shower and shower products were nice. They have complimentary water in the room and a bar downstairs. read more

Don't let its prettiness fool you. My first sign that this was going to be a not-so- great place happened when I walked in my room. I found the minibar price list and was excited the prices for drinks weren't crazy. I opened the minibar cabinet and found... no minibar. I got a bit hungry and wanted to order room service but couldn't find a menu. I got on the phone and pushed the speed I'll labeled room service to be told... there's no room service. There is only one elevator that is very, very slow. The gym is next to the sauna. There are no ice machines on the floors. The front desk said I could get a bucket of ice at the restaurant. I asked for one... and waited. And waited. I had to ask three times, and it look them 20 minutes to get me some ice. I'm spending the week in Germany and spent the four previous days at the Mainz Marriott which had everything this hotel is missing. I would not recommend staying here. read more

I do not like to leave less than stellar reviews however honesty is important regarding this system. Pullman is really a beautiful hotel centered in a great location near train. However, the Air Conditioner in the hotel does not blow cold air. The bathrooms are very dated, and there is quite a significant amount of construction going on. The gym has machines that are very dated and one simply does t work. Ideally, for a hotel as capable as this one I'd expect a bit more. I will say the staff is awesome! Let's start off with some positives. The front desk is quite helpful. They were all very pleasant to speak to. One of the ladies was very impressive as she spoke at least more than 4 languages. The views in my room, 7th floor overlooked the town and the train station. The train station and bus stop is right outside the door, literally right outside. The front desk will guide you on tickets and routes. You're always a hop and a skip away from a shopping center and restaurants. Just walk all the way across the park that's right in front of the hotel. You could also take the train to downtown which is a 12-15min ride. The bed is quite comfortable although I'd love to have more than two pillows, just my own preference. Unfortunately up next are the cons. The breakfast buffet is over $28 USD! The food is decent. You have your usual "American" breakfast as well as a German dishes but it isn't worth the $28. I think this should really go with the price of the hotel room you paid for. Their prices on their drinks at the bar are also outrageous. $16 for gin & tonic?! At a hotel?! Get outta here. Also I don't really get why I should pay to use the pool and sauna?! Why is that? $22 to use their pool and Sauna?! But wait that's only for 10am - 4pm, after 4pm to 10pm it's $33. Now why would it be $10 more in the evening?! I mean seriously, who made this up?! The room is simple and has your basic necessities but without its faults. The little sofa has some questionable stains on it, see the picture. The furnitures has seen the time pass by. There's plenty of wear and scratches. The headboard also has some greasy looking stain on it, again see the pictures. The carpet could have been vacuumed as I spot a couple of dirt, hair and other mess. I'm also not sure if the mugs were cleaned or not but after putting in hot water to make tea, these oily spots came up (see picture).The thermostat is either on hot or warm. It's nice that you can open the windows to let some cool air in but that shouldn't be the case. The prices for the mini bar are all expensive but I think that's given. The TV is really tiny and I think my remote control might have seen its last days since you can barely press any buttons to power it on. To top it off I was trying to sleep during the day since I was quite jet lagged but I was disturbed by some sort of drilling noises made by power tools next door to me or above me, maybe both. I'm not sure what was happening there but it lasted for about an hour. It would have been nice to get a notice. The location overall is pretty nice. The park across the street seems to be filled with people and children along with all the foot traffic from getting on and off the train. The train noises isn't really a bother unless you have your windows open. Overall, it's...okay. Maybe an update of the rooms and prices and policies? It's a really well put hotel but it has plenty of shortcomings. read more

Military family of 5-2AD 3CHD 2yrs, 7yrs, 6 yrs We love travel & respect all cultures as I am multi-culture by blood, Heard about how kids annoy most Germans & absolutely respect that! Had breakfast the 1st morning and another family had a child and he was screaming and a German woman gave a mean long eyeball stare at the child...as to scare the poor 2 year old. It terrified me and I wanted to help this poor mom comfort her son. (Just giving a scenario) Pros: breakfast buffet has wonderful choices Laundry service **FREE** Service is great when they communicate Cons: Laundry service: when I asked front desk about laundry she asked if I was military. I said yes, she then proceeded to say they only have dry clean which is very expensive but there is a laundromat in panzer. My husband asked another lady and she showed him how to sign in your laundry. so know laundry service it comes with your stay. You get a door sign that you can choose to have a drink from restaurant or bar, donate .33€ to their save water program, & something else which I forgot. I did it for 4 nights yay 6 drinks free as we had 2 rooms! But, because my children can be noisy I chose to pick up my drinks 1st night he handed it to me, different person 2nd night same 3rd time different person said it's not allowed. Room Service: You are not allowed to cook & there's no microwave. Only thing in the room is a fridge and hot water boiler. So with that said I wanted to get food for my kids and there were lots of customers in the dining so I asked if we could get their daily special as a room service they did and that was great! But next day another girl said no. 3 other waitstaff came and I tried to ask why I had it yesterday but not today she said that they weren't suppose too. So I explained about having kids and not wanting to disturb their customers. But, it seemed more of a miscommunication. So I canceled my order they brought it up anyway. I don't know ‍ left me confused. All in all this miscommunication did not discourage my stay. It was a good hotel if you know what you can get and not! This hotel has English speaking but I'm not sure if they understand fully. But, overall it's good enough! Nice area too. I had lots of walks in town that is not far. They have a beautiful playground right across. Bakeries, food courts, & a mall with 2 grocery stores. Have fun enjoy, explore, and don't get frustrated. Avoid Keep your money. Customer service is horrible. The rooms are "king size bed " but really 2 singles put together. Oh with single sheets on top. There is an extra charge for everything under the moon. The bar is not a bar . Internet is for lack of better words is functional . To leave this on a positive note public transport is literally at your door step and your about 20min from downtown. Was the only good thing about this place. Do not rent a car if you stay here no need for one at all . Plus parking is expensive and really tight . Overall avoid I've had the pleasure of staying in other areas in Germany at hostels and they were much better . read more

This is my 3rd stay in 5 years for over 90 days with the Pullman. That is a lot of $$$ , right?! The staff are all so professional and kind.....the best! CONS; the prices of drinks, food, etc are WAY overpriced. They quit having the Happy Hour! I hear they have new owners....I am a bit worried also...I have been charged 12euro a day for my small dog Gypsy to be here this trip, my bill is currently over 1000. Euro!!!! I'd think a 90 day stay would rate something! After all....could stay somewhere else!!! Many American families that are PCSing stay here with pets. I am very hopeful the Pullman staff will work with me on the pet charges, considering this was a long term stay and I am a returning customer. I was a bit disappointed by the check-in - the front desk employee who helped me didn't seem too friendly. Rooms were nice. The breakfast was ok - I've had better, especially as a vegetarian. The breakfast salon is very nice though. Location is perfect, next to the train station. I wouldn't mind staying again but to me, there are better options in the city. read more

For a European hotel, this is as good as it gets. Comfy beds, comfy pillows, awesome (english speaking) staff, happy hour at the bar every night from 5-6 (half price drinks!), and what I hear was a great little gym. Its right next to the train station (which is a plus for getting there and getting around, but a minus if you can't sleep with noise outside), and there's also an in house day spay, which I wish I'd had time to take advantage of. I'm still giving it 5 stars, but I almost went down to 4 if only because of the price of breakfast. Its a great little buffet, but I never felt like I ate my 17 euro worth, partly because I never had time and partly because I wasn't eating enough. The one morning I went to the little shop at the train station I felt like I did better. There's a small business center off the lobby with free internet on two computers, or there's paid wifi in the rooms. One plus: you can order hourly or daily wifi. All in all, I was really happy with the Pullman. I'd definitely stay here again. read more

Only one big complaint but in this digital age, it's a significant one. The hotel advertises free WiFi, but in fact the "Free" service is at dial-up speeds (256kbps), making it pretty much useless for anything beyond the simplest text e-mails. The paid service is reasonably priced (6 euros for 24 hours) and promises to support three devices, but when you sign up, the info you need to add subsequent devices onto the account appears for about a nanosecond before being replaced by an ad for the hotel chain, and there's no obvious way to get back to it. So, in order to use my laptop and my iPad, I needed to buy two bites of the WiFI apple. Not cripplingly expensive, but annoying, and as far as I'm concerned, false advertising. Twice. Update: Even the paid service tends to be on the slow side. Be wary of expecting to get work done from your room if it involves being able to access the Internet any more robustly than you might have at, say, the turn of the century. read more

Very nice place. Rooms are on the small side in comparison to western standards. The bathrooms do have showerheads. As Rebecca mentioned, the beds are quite nice. The fitness room, while quite asthetically pleasing, is primarily oriented on cardio equipment, with just one cable machine for weight training. Additionally, it's optimally situated next to the S-Vaihingen S-Bahn station. I asked for a room on the "quite" side, which the desk girl said was the back side, facing the trains. i was skeptical at the time, but turns out, the electric trains are quieter that the hustle and bustle of in town traffic. I sampled both the bar and the breakfast restaurant as well. The bar was fine, with moderate prices and service that you'd expect from an upscale hotel. The breakfast buffet was good, but at 20 euro, my opinion is that it's not 20 euro good, especially considering most hotels have a complimentary breakfast....it really kind of depends on your options. read more

SOoooo ready to check out after a week of wifi that 1) constantly drops and 2) has a different login/password everyday so when it constantly drops you have to login again every third or fourth time. I get it that Germans want things to be secure, but there's a usability issue here too and if it makes the guest resent the hotel because it's so annoying, they should reconsider their approach. (I'm using an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.1 but it also happened with the laptop) read more

Wow, this was a surprise. After some bad experience in Stuttgart hotels, I did not expect too much. But the Pullmann hotel was absolutely great: Outstanding personnel , nice rooms with comfortable beds, quit rooms and a great spa area. And all this for a very reasonable price (apart from the breakfast that I did not try). The hotel is located a bit outside of downtown Stuttgart, but I liked the convenience of using the public transportation to the airport (10min) or to all downtown areas that I wanted to visit (15min to the center). Definitely worth to consider! Congratulations to the manager for making this such a nice stay. read more

This is the worst hotel I have ever had the unpleasant experience to stay. Here are my many complaints: 1.) so called laundry washed out whites with or darks. Our whites are now gray. 2.) laundry lost some of our clothes and tried to give us someone else's clothes 3.) front desk staff are rude and nasty and won't let you speak to a manager. 4.) so called premium internet is so slow and terrible you have to stand by your door to get proper connection. 5.) SPA IS DIRTY TIRED AND OLD AND HORRIFICALLY understaffed. 6.) ESTHETICIAN IS POORLY SKILLED AND ROUGH. The skin on my toes has started to flake and peel a month after having a pedicure. Moreover my cuticle were left damaged and bleeding. 7.) MANAGER IS SELDOM AVALABLE AND WHEN HE IS HE DOES NOT SEEM TO CARE. 8.) Rooms are tired and damp with old carpeting and dated interior. 9.) WHAT AIR CONDITIONING 10.) all but one elevator was out of service for for days and hotel didn't let their customers know. Everyone kept waiting for the one elevator. 11.) with the exception of the breakfast buffet, the food is terrible and So is the service. I have never sent back so many meals. read more
