Arrived in this five star hotel yesterday. The staff is very pleasant and polite which is always a major plus. My room wasn't ready because i arrived early but the front staff was really apologetic about it. I ended up crashing for an hour in the lobby-well, slept was more like it. Lobby was huge, had several restaurants and the pool/gym and sauna was also on that floor. The gym was ehh, three cardio machines and lite fitness gym- the ones with three or four things you can do ( rows, lat pulls). The pool was nice, didn't go into the sauna. However, there is a local gym around the corner that hotel guests can use wth a fee. Now THAT gym was amazing, had every contraption possible as well as a vibration machine that can loosen or tone your muscles depending on how you use the machine.
The hotel room was nice and clean, a bit staid, think classical professionalism. Ours was the suite that opened into a living area and then another room for the bedroom. Only cons I have seen so far is that the mattress is a bit too soft for my comfort and I wish they had a coffee machine. Usually if your room is a suite they have a kitchen or at least a coffee machine. As well, and this is a major thing I have with any hotel, is that there should be free wireless. In this day and age, I feel that guests should get free Internet, it is so crucial these days.
Overall I would recommend this hotel, excellent and friendly staff that were trained very well, spacious lobby, free gym, pool, and sauna, and delicious meals.
It is ideally located, there were A TON of Americans there and a ton of business people there'd which wasn't surprising.
Only gripe would be paying for Internet and minor gripe would be the mattress.
I give it four stars instead of five because I never felt a WOW factor but it is a five star hotel in quality and service. I would rate it a five star hotel anywhere else except on yelp. read more
