Always a nice hotel to come back to! Near a Kaufland grocery store (just around the corner). Parking here is a bit tight so make sure your car or rental is small. Rooms are clean and always have everything I need...you know, all the toiletries! Make sure you give them your Marriott Bonvoy number so you can earn points. :) They have a steakhouse downstairs on the main floor as well as room service (for us lazy folks or frequent travelers)! Don't miss this Marriott...it's a great find!

We were not able to get accommodations and we're given a list of local hotels from across the Stuttgart area. We put out emails to our top 3, but only Hotel Bohler responded. This hotel is run by Manuel and his wife Melinda. They have an awesome staff that treated us like family from Day 1! When we arrived they had dairy-and egg-free bread for two of our boys. One of the staff members went out of her way to bake a allergy-friendly breakfast cake so they could enjoy breakfast like other guests. As for the rooms themselves, fantastic! We occupied 2 rooms, but there was a door that essentially made it a suite. The bathrooms were stellar and included full-size tubs. We had a range of channels, to include BBC and some kids channels. Wi-fi was perfect! As for the location, there is a bakery across the street and you're within a 5 minute walk to an Italian restaurant, a doner kebab place, and the Brauhaus. There are 2 parks also within a 15 minute walk depending on the length of your child's legs. We hope to stay again on our way out of Stuttgart!

The rooms are clean and each one is different which makes for a unique stay. The beds are very comfortable and amenities are very much top quality. The staff are friendly and also speak English which helps when your still learning German. They are also helpful with navigating around Böblingen and the Baden Wartenburg state. No matter if breakfast is included in your rate or not, I would recommend taking advantage of the breakfast. Manuel and his staff really do make every effort to make you feel like old friends or family

They have free snacks, bottled water both bubbly and not and free coffee. Flavored waters as well. Snacks to include some packaged sausage, cheese, chips and other stuff. Also every morning starting at 0630 there is free breakfast buffet across the road. Eggs, meats, breads, jellies, coffee juice, the works. Really awesome and nice restaurant. My room rate included the breakfast. All free and very good. Staff are super nice and accommodating. When the tap went down they walked across the street and got beer for us. Really top notch service. The rooms are good. I would say they are not upscale but they are not substandard. They are comfortable and get the job done. Bed was a bit firm but it ended up being great. They have a pillow exchange if you hate your pillow. Did I mention free beer? Now I get hot and hate sleeping in the heat. They have heat registers in room so if it was winter you will be ok. I did not see an A/C unit in my room. Not sure how hot days would be in the room if no A/C. This week has been in the 50s/60s so I left the windows open and I was fine. Noise from the road if you are light sleeper could be bad but it did not bother me to much. All in all awesome stay.

Up front: Breakfast is great. The pool is great. Everything else is below par. I would not…read morerecommend this establishment. I also note that for American military personnel in the Stuttgart area, this hotel is being considered being placed on the verboten list so please check before booking. Guests must pay up front. VAT forms are accepted, but not reimbursed until check out. This hotel is not at all handicap or disabled friendly, it is even challenging for a non-handicapped person (lots of lips in between rooms, unmarked bumps in floors, and steep tubs/showers). There are stairs into the hotel without ramp access, meaning not accessible for disabled persons and no assistance provided to those with heavy luggage. Bathrooms: Very small, outdated bathrooms with only one towel allotted per person. There is a multipurpose soap provided, but no other toiletries (such as shampoo/conditioner). Showers and tubs are too high to get into with ease and are slippery, without a good safety bar. There is no fan in the bathroom so it gets very stuffy and foggy when showering. There are no washcloths or hand towels provided. The water quality is very poor. Customer Service: Overall the service is rude, inconsiderate, hostile to Americans (who they clearly view as uncultured and ignorant or stupid), incompetent, and lacking in professional courtesies (such as discretion and affording guests privacy). The front desk clerk was a real knob and made repeated falsehoods to keep stalling on issues. He told me that the manager was not available over the weekend and would not be in until Monday when I had seen her that morning at breakfast. He has changed his statements a number of times, and none consistent with management. Some of these examples are petty and pointless, for instance saying he does not know what a fan is nor does the hotel offer them for guests (they do have fans and they do offer them for guests). Hotel staff barges into rooms unannounced or enter as they are knocking. One morning two repairmen entered my room while I was sleeping! This is unacceptable beahviour! This privacy (and pet security) issue has occurred every single day of my stay so far, even with a do not disturb sign on my door. I have spoken to the front desk about this repeatedly only to be patronized and told it would be fixed but without apology. Once I received a phone call with a ten minute warning of services only to be hung up on and services to arrive in five minutes. Even still, that was for the repairmen again to fix the windows, but the cleaning staff entered without warning that same afternoon. The hotel says they accommodate pets, but this is not true. They do not care about pet safety or welfare, it is up to the owners to be vigilant. There are smoking venues all around the hotel, so opening windows means wafting in second hand smoke instead of fresh air. Even the restaurant had to close the windows because of repeated guest complaints from the heavy smokers sitting outside. Importantly, all guests (particular emphasis on all American guests) are required to pay for their full stay at the time of their arrival. VAT forms are accepted, but they will not reimburse you until your departure (even though you've paid a static amount up front). Elevator is small and rickety. Parking is limited. Rooms: Not all light switches work, you bump and stumble your way around until you figure out which ones work and then have to try to remember them. The headboards also have light switches, so if your pillow bumps them in the night, you will wake yourself up by accidentally turning on the bright lights (very irritating). The beds are tiny and uncomfortable (you can feel every spring). The hotel rooms, especially the ones facing the plaza, are very loud all the time, regardless of what day it is (weekday/weekend) or time of day or night. Even after switching rooms to the other side of the hotel it was improved but still just a noisy part of town. Some of the noise comes from other guests, but the bulk of it comes from the little piazza (there is a little gelato store open late), and the housekeeping staff which bangs around and slams doors. Amenities: Wifi in the hotel is provided free, but it is not reliable. It fluctuates between one and two bars maximum if working at all. There is a pool facility open from 0600 to 2200. This pool is wonderful for swimming laps, etc, and is warmed so it's very refreshing. However, no towels are provided so bring your own. There is also a sauna available for guests, but it requires a 45 minute advance notice to management before usage. The restaurant in the lobby has a limited menu, great service (danke Fiona!), and great food. However, it runs a bit pricey. You can pay for your meals in cash, card, or put the bill on your room tab. No tea kettle, mini fridge, or microwave amenities are offered or provided in guests rooms.

The restaurant downstairs is also satisfying and not as pricey as the surrounding restaurants. However, there is cheap food right next door if that's more your style. They have a 24 hour "bar service" and it's awesome. There is also a clean comfortable pool and spa. The room is great for European standards.

There was enough room for three separate dance floors, plus a dedicated outdoor smoking area, and it never felt cramped. For this event, there were bars on both sides of the stage, which made grabbing a drink easy no matter where you were. Even better, the sightlines are great and you could see the stage clearly from pretty much anywhere in the room. It is standing room only, but the layout makes that work. My one real issue was communication, especially during the meet and greet. Venue security and ticketing staff were giving conflicting instructions, which made things confusing. My German is not the strongest, so it took some extra effort to figure out where I needed to be. To be fair, everyone was polite and it seemed they were just following the instructions they were told, but better coordination between the venue staff and event planners would have made the experience smoother. On another note, be prepared to walk cause parking is non existent, I parked a good half a mile from the venue. That said, none of that takes away from the fact that Wagenhallen is a great concert venue with tons of space, good flow, and excellent views. I would absolutely come back for another show. I know 112 has played here a couple of times and I missed it if/when they come back here I'm in there. *Does lil dance while singing U Already Know* lol
