I only spent one night in Stuttgart and I stayed at Alex 30. I really enjoyed my stay. It was pretty quiet when I went. It was a VERY clean hostel with a friendly staff. Somewhat of a hike from the train station and the main part of the city, but it's definitely worth the stay. The staff is really knowledgable about Stuttgart as well. read more

Stayed here summer '11. It was clean and had a good shower which is sometimes all you need. Hostel had a nice little bar and was it was an enjoyable walk from the city centre. read more

First hostel experience because most city-center hotels were booked (there was a soccer game and…read morealso Oktoberfest). Could've been worse. They have a 3 day special for $57 if you stay in a 6-person room. I paid more than that, and they made me move to an 8-person suite for my last 2 nights. Because I had to move I essentially had no room between 11am (checkout deadline) and 2pm (checkin starts). Sheets and bathrooms are clean I guess. The lobby is also fine but can get quite noisy. Free tea but breakfast is not free.
