If I could give this less than one star I would. I don't recommend this place to anybody…read more My husband went off the road in a recent snowstorm ,right around the corner from our house and Gallaghers was called to fill in for another tow company. I called Olivia ,at my insurance that day and wanted the car towed from Gallahers yard to my house until it got into a body shop. I have a 2023 Toyota Crown, wasn't sure how long it would take as all the body shops are booking out months . Bob, at Gallagher's, at first told Olivia he did not want another tow company at his yard. It just seemed to get worse from there. Olivia would call us back every time she spoke with Bob. Our insurance was told "the car is damaged, it isn't drivable, it has to be driven to the body shop", Bob, then hung up on her, when she asked for an invoice to pay him. My husband then did a three-way call with Olivia and Bob where he then said" he couldn't release the car because if it was brought back to our house we may drive it and he don't want to be liable".... My husband had to threaten to get the police involved then Bob agreed to let somebody pick up the car. He then told Olivia he wanted cash to pick up the car. At one point apparently told Olivia if the car wasn't picked up by the end of the week that their shop was going to be closed for a month. It took us 2 days of being on the phone continuously with our insurance ,, and their roadside assistance Agero( which sucked ) and Bob to get the car back. The best part was the only damage to the car was a little damage to the bumper! Gallagher's took a hard situation and made it worse, they seemed shady from the start and seemed to want to just keep the car to collect the storage fees I think. This place was a nightmare to work with. My advice if you need a tow is to call another company because you'll be fighting to get your car back. My husband is a retired veteran and he deserved better treatment than this.

I have been trying to get basic information about my vehicle and I keep getting the runaround…read more Every time I call, the woman who answers the phone, who I believe may be the owner Jamie, says she cannot hear me or understand what I am saying. At this point, the whole situation feels shady and like they are intentionally making something simple more difficult than it needs to be. I just want to know if my vehicle is there, how much I owe, and what I need to do to get it back. These are basic questions, and I should not have to keep chasing a towing company just to recover my own vehicle. What concerns me even more is that storage fees may continue to add up while I am actively trying to get the vehicle back. I do not believe I should be charged additional storage fees for days that resulted from this company failing to respond or give me the information needed to retrieve the vehicle. At the very least, any additional charges from the date I first contacted them about recovering the vehicle should be addressed. The way this has been handled has made me seriously question whether this company is operating fairly and whether there may be unethical business practices going on. I have been documenting my attempts to contact them, and if this continues, I may have no choice but to get an attorney involved. I want this company to make this right. Respond, provide the information needed, and allow me to recover my vehicle without piling on additional fees because of delays on their end.

Despite the blowout happening on a Friday night, we were on our way first thing Saturday. Couldn't not recommend more highly. Longer: On a recent Friday nigh while coming back from a days-long road trip, I got a flat tire about an hour north of Plattsburgh. Unfortunately, my car doesn't have a spare and uses a "boutique" tire, as it was later explained to me. As I started Googling and calling nearby tire dealers, I was told that no one would have my tire and that anyway, it was Friday and I'd have a better shot of getting service on Monday. Then I reached Warren. The service center patched me through to an incredibly informed employee named Jen, who there was a shot that they had my tire but that Warren was closed and she was already on her drive home. She had an idea about how she might be able to find out and told me to call back in 10. When I called back, I found out that another employee had returned to the shop, looked through their inventory -- after hours!! -- and found that they miraculously had my unusual tire (this was for a Volvo SUV -- why they went with non-standard tires and no spare is a mystery). I had my car towed for an hour to Plattsburgh, dropped off my key in Warren's night drop and found a hotel. The next morning at 7:45 I got a call from Jen who said they had our car, they did, indeed, have our tire and that the new tire would be in place by 9 a.m. This was on a Saturday morning and Jen had called *before the shop had even opened.* At 9, my family and I showed up, the car was 100% ready, we paid and were on our way by 9:15. Truly world class service; I was lucky to have stumble on Warren and would recommend them to anyone. Wish they'd come to my town and teach service here...

After about 5 minutes of driving I could tell something wasn't right with the balance of them. When I came in for a follow up appt. to have them check the balance, the lady told me that they would re-balance them but they doubt that would fix any problems and tried to get me to schedule yet another visit so that a mechanic could diagnose what else was wrong with the vehicle for 2-3 hrs. There was nothing wrong with my vehicle... When they re-balanced the tires I asked what they found and they responded that they didn't even check the existing balance. They just blindly stripped all the weights and balanced them again. This time the vehicle drove even worse than the first time. When I brought the vehicle to another shop and explained the issue they threw the existing wheels w/ weights on their balancer and laughed. The guys at Warren tire didn't even get it close. Once the balance was corrected by the second shop the vehicle drove great. The other funny part of my experience was when I dropped the vehicle off for the follow-up visit, they told me that it would be atleast a few hours until they could get to it. This didn't bother me at all except for the fact that 4 of their techs were standing around behind the service desk chatting with each other and not getting any work done for the entire 20 minutes I was there dropping the vehicle off. I was appreciative that Warren Tire was able to get me in for my tire change quicker than any other shop around was, but if I knew it wasn't going to be done right the first time and would require 2 more shop visits I would have just waited a few more weeks.

Most of the bad reviews here seem irrelevant or very outdated…read more I'm a new Sam's Club member and very pleased so far with my shopping experience. For a small town like Plattsburgh that does not have a Costco, well Sam's club is a great option to buy things in bulk or a cheaper price. In recent years I believe the store has undergone a rebranding, as I use to come shop using a visitor's day pass, but this is no longer available. I've noticed the renovated customer service counter as well as new features in the app like Scan & Go which is super convenient. Very few stores will offer this feature where you can just scan items as you shop, place them in your cart, then pay on your phone and just go. No need to wait in line for the cashier! This is a sign of the times! Being from Montreal, Canada, I love the selection of goods here and pricing that cannot be matched to what I find back home. Things to look out for, good priced clothing, frozen goods like appetizers and ready made meals, cheese, baked good - the brownies are divine!! - as well as children's toys. These are all great value. The in house Member's Mark brand is also a good choice for anything they make, it seems on par with Kirkland products at Costco. Sam's Club has overall more selection of items compares to Costco, but at this location, I noticed less ready made food items compared to Costco in Vermont. For example, if you want premade large salads, party platters, chicken pot pie, pasta dishes or other meals that are already cooked, Sam's offers a bit less in this department. Still worth checking out and even we don't come often, the membership is worth the thrill of just shopping and finding new items. Plus having lunch at the food court is such good value, the pizza and ice cream are amazing. Make sure you try the brownie sundae. It is loaded with brownies and huge cup for less than 2 bucks! Anyone considering getting a membership or renewing, well we were able to get a great deal on Groupon, they often have yearly memberships for as low as 15$ or 20$ so make sure you sign up online. As a Canadian, I didn't have any issues signing up online this way and then just asking for a real membership card in stores.
