Instead of doing what many piercers would probably do, just make a few extra dollars & taking advantage of my ignorant self, they educated me on how to treat the irritation and told me it was best to keep my original jewelry even knowing I was willing to pay whatever to buy new jewelry and have it changed. I saw a young customer who actually got pierced walk out happily with her new lobes, probably her first piercing ever. I'll definitely be getting piercings here and updating my review after. If you're looking for awesome customer service in a comfortable environment with nice people, I'd definitely recommend this shop.

I do recommend going here for a piercing but I don't recommend doing any hoop until your piercing is healed because it can effect the tissue in your skin and you don't want to damage anything (just trying to help with an infection as well.). I called to see if he could change the piercing, he didn't return my call, I went to "Stay True Piercing" in Newington and they were astonished by what the piercer at Transcend did to me. Said the method as from 1992. I was in pain with the most uncomfortable piercing. transcend may be good for, tattoos, but go to a reputable piercer. do NOT go here.

Due to her (well deserved) popularity the appointment was a ways out but it was well worth it. She works so fast and efficiently and is a delight to chat with. I now have two tattoos by her with a ton more planned and scheduled. The shop itself is lovely and clean. The front desk staff is lovely, and the bathrooms are well stocked with hairties and menstrual products. All the carts have snacks ready to go for the light headed. I am looking forward to my next appointment.

These guys are in a new spot. Happy they are able to do business again…read more The average tattoo shop is clean, this place is clean and following all the guidelines required for them to operate their business. No corners are being cut and that certainly eases the minds of their patrons. The reason for 4 stars is because I'm not the one getting the tattoo unfortunately but am able to review based on what I see . This is how small businesses stay in business. Good reviews and repeat clientele.

We had a little bit of trouble finding the place as he doesn't have a sign yet, but once we found it we were pleasantly surprised. Once inside you're met with a very clean waiting room with comfortable seating. It's a very calm environment which is important when you're having anxiety about getting a needle shoved through your body. Jay was very laid back, funny, extremely informative and knowledgeable. He was also understanding and did what he could to calm my nerves. It's been probably 18 years since I had gotten a piercing so I was a tiny bit on edge. He answered every obnoxious question my friend and I had without getting annoyed... if he was annoyed he certainly is good at hiding it. The entire process was really quick. I appreciated that because the longer something takes...the more time I have to get worked up over it. Once he was done he explained where the used needles go and where he sends the tools to be sterilized. When it came time to pay he went over what to use for cleaning. He didn't try to sell us what he has and even said we can find it cheaper elsewhere. My friend and I bought it there as it's convenient and we respected him for his honesty. Overall, he was very nice and if I ever need another hole put in me...I'll let Jay do it.

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience at Beauty Mark! It was recommended to me…read moreby a friend's son--specifically, Rachel (Snowflake) was the artist who did his tattoo. I was impressed by the exactness and went in for a consultation. Rachel was extremely professional (and well-inked!). I shared with her printouts of my desired tattoos and, because she is also a fine artist, she made suggestions as to how she would like to alter the designs to improve them. After seeing her work online, I totally felt comfortable with her suggestions. We made an appointment for 3 weeks in the future and I left a deposit. On the day of my appointment, I was a little nervous, but excited. This was not my first tattoo (I have two earlier ones from about 20 years ago--the artist has retired, hence my search). Rachel showed me her designs. The first was a Phoenix and her alterations were superb! For the second tattoo, I changed my mind and showed her the new version which she happily updated. Again, Rachel was extremely accommodating, placed the stencils and I was most pleased with the Phoenix. The sun and sea tattoo needed a little adjustment, but we arrived at an excellent solution. The tattooing process was a bit more painful than my previous experiences based on the location--ankles are like that!--but Rachel was most gentle and proceeded in a way that was the least uncomfortable to me. The results were beautiful! I was so pleased with her work! They took far less time than we expected, so the cost was less than I anticipated. Rachel was very careful to explain the care of my new tattoos and provided me with her business card to contact her in case I was concerned about the healing process. I would highly recommend Rachel for an excellent tattoo experience--the quality, artistry, experience and results were superb. Thank you, Rachel!!!

I went back recently to have my eyebrows microbladed by her and I'm thrilled with my results. The other reviews seem a little childish- speak up and communicate with your artist... they're not mind readers.
