Safe buy. I don't recommend the optional additional warranty "service", though, it's like $2,197 usd extra and I never even got proof of Purchase about it or any information on what I paid for it to cover. The woman that represented the co was much more courteous than the man who owned it, in my opinion (as he sold me the warranty, she sold me the utility SUV). I found it more affordable to supplement with AAA; it more conveniently supplements the needs of your vehicle. As for the vehicle itself, the pre-existing issues were not disclosed to me. Luckily they weren't necessities for it to run. I paid cash, I got no discount for doing so. All in all, I'd recommend the place to someone who knows a thing or two about or is looking for a non-luxury foreign vehicle from the mid 2000's, just before 2010, for a little bit too much money. Phillips Chevrolet was EXCELLENT. My amazing team consisted of: Jordan Jurgovan my salesman that…read moreclosed the deal, Anthony Mcauley the manager, and Rami Alamawi the first salesman I spoke to. Jordan, and Anthony missed out on the office party, and kept the office open just to finish our deal. They were celebrating their status as a #1 Dealership... this time I totally agree, and they are deserving. I was on a mission. I began an aggressive search for a car for my daughters 21st bday. I had one week to buy the car, but I was not desperate. My thought was cash speaks quite LOUDLY. Yet a dealership in Countryside acted like my cash was purple, and not green. Their lousy sales technique/person turned into a Blessing for Phillips, AND my daughter. She is always on the go- I don't understand why she thinks "broke, and grown can co-exist". Yet, 21 year olds think they have a world to run. Nonetheless I needed my Road Warrior in a safe used car, with low miles. I absolutely refused to buy her a new car- plus after getting my new car in 2023 my pocketbook was saying... OH NO Sweetie- we are on a budget! With that in mind the hunt began.... I picked Phillips Chevrolet by accident, after I had a horrific experience with that other dealership. The night before I paid the other dealership $18,800 cash for a 2023 Altima (pretty as it was- the test drive was blah, and it was a rental- yuck). The salesperson, and her manager made me so angry- that I canceled the wire after they argued with me- and refused- to make me a 2nd key. Phillips didn't argue about ANYTHING. They showed me a fabulous used car- a 2022 Corolla with low miles. It was a $400 difference, and the BEST $400 I have spent. I left the dealership laughing with the manager (Anthony), hugging the salesman (Jordan), and promising to buy all my future cars from them. When Rami told me the price- he did not haggle with me. He was straightforward and I respected their position on the pricing. They went down a few hundred, but couldn't any further--- it was already below market value. I got up left, and called my husband for his opinion. My husband checked and said it was way under priced, so I went back to the dealership for the car. My brother who is a large man- gave it a hell of a test drive- through the back woods, fast turns, up hills, etc. I fussed at him for shaking up the car. He said it was a strong car, that rode smoothly. I felt good that they weren't selling me a lemon. To guarantee they weren't - we negotiated to include the extended bumper to bumper warranty. I went back the next day to pick up a clean, freshly washed car. As a contrast- my nervous were horrible at the other dealership I was anxious/ uncomfortable when I signed, and second guessed myself all throughout the deal. Whereas, I was thrilled and excited about the car from Phillips Chevrolet. I gladly wired them the $19,000 + and took photos of my car. After taking photos with everyone, and my brother getting his $100 referral (which he didn't share with me :(-- LOL. My husband came to thank them for not causing me to "snap off" like the other dealership. He said - now he can have Peace in the House. After the hugs, photos, and jokes they gifted me with sweatshirts, hats, keychains, and bags. Now I can buy a big red bow, and give it to my daughter. I'm making her wear the sweatshirt and hat for the photos. SIDEBAR: Out of the last 5 car purchases I have made in 7 years- this was the absolute BEST experience ever!!!! Colleen & Family Loved Phillips & their Awesome Team!!! I will do photos later--- I gotta run.

Front desk person advised the next morning they had no idea when the person assigned to the vehicle would be in for the day. So no estimated time. Spoke to the supervisor almost 5 hours later. She apologized for the miscommunication and stated that it takes an extensive amount of time to diagnose the issue. Somehow about 15 minutes later I received about 5-6 phone calls to get approval for the repair estimate. They quoted $3k (for the first time we decided to price shop because of the high quote and weird service experience ). We now have confirmation from another certified mechanic of the vehicle NOT being properly tested for this particular issue. Concluding Ford Service department made a claim for a repair without performing the necessary diagnostics to confirm that repair is actually needed. Furthermore, the Ford price is about 40% higher than market price - which they are allowed to be, but they cannot commit fraud.

I felt like a fool, a sucker in the end, relying on a person who couldn't quite comprehend. A $1,300 tax was charged, though I am tax-exempt. I called it a hiccup, but he made little attempt. He promised my registration would be handled with care, then he reneged on the temp plates with excuses in the air. I was lucky enough to find a decent car, a 2008 Chevy Cobalt, in my price range and one that I actually liked. Also, Victor was very helpful, friendly, and honest when selling to me and my stepdad. Even though there were a few things that I wasn't too fond of with the car (such as the racing stripes that were on it and some scratches by the tires), Victor was happy to help and negotiate. They took off the racing stripes and did their best to help with the scratches, as well as giving me some pointers on how to paint it myself haha. Overall, the process was fairly smooth and I absolutely give props to Victor and his team. They were all really great! I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a used car, or if you see one that you like that is there, to go! A very positive experience overall.
