These are the people that mercy has greeting potential new patients. First impression was terrible. The bedding provided is just that: warm. Not only that, but these blankets are hardly more than cheap motel sheets. A healthcare center truly concerned about their patients' well-being would at the very least have thick, hot blankets available. In fact, I'm sure hot blanket escorts to and from the parking lot would greatly improve the patients' quality of life along with the staff taking care of them, notably during the cold winter months. It certainly would have improved my stay. 3/5, would settle for a slightly warm sheet again.

This is inexcusable. This is NOT quality care. This is a crime to treat people this way...taking patients who came in later and had the sniffles first. One woman had insomnia and was taken back immediately. I am running a high fever with severe cellulitis that has the potential to turn septic. And they won't let you leave! I can't even go to another hospital. I've been on disability for 20+ years due to this severe condition. I almost died 5 times! If you value your life, DON'T come here!!!

I couldn't have been taken care of any better than all these people and departments did for me. Cons: Absolutely horrible service, the staff takes their time and openly talk about patients while standing 20 feet away. The wait time is only trumped by the way patients are treated, from both a patient and responder viewpoint. The ill are treated like they're making their issues up and the hurt are treated like addicts seeking drugs. The doctors are great when it comes to taking care of patients but the staff makes the visit unbearable. If you are able and not dying, take 20 minutes and drive to Pittsburg Kansas or Joplin Missouri.
