The medical care provided at this facility tops the quality of care given to me from the VA hospital, by far. It's taken me a while to get used to this southern hospitality from the doctors and nurses here. I have received care from Northwest as well as Washington regional. Waiting after 4 hours in the ER for a life-threatening illness they have documented in my records. Staff is nowhere to be seen and a poor woman sitting next to me is in so much pain she can't sit still. This is inexcusable. This is NOT quality care. This is a crime to treat people this way...taking patients who came in later and had the sniffles first. One woman had insomnia and was taken back immediately. I am running a high fever with severe cellulitis that has the potential to turn septic. And they won't let you leave! I can't even go to another hospital. So we've been to this hospital a few times. What I like about it is the people working here. My girlfriend was here twice in a week and they treated her really well. In fact the nurses here would keep me informed on what was going on which I really appreciated. It's a very nice hospital with a great waiting room for the family if needed. Dr. Donell was my daughters Doctor and every time she is sick he never has openings for her this time of year RSV is going around and my daughter just turned 1 and just started at a new school, there's been 5 cases of RSV and Dr. Donell still didn't make time or effort to see my daughter. I have a history of bowel obstructions and have been admitted to the hospital five times in seven years. I began at Mercy ER in Springdale. After CT results I was admitted to Mercy Rogers. I was able to walk right to my floor and to my room. I was taken care of immediately. I will say just like all hospitals some staff were very attentive and some were not. Overall I felt I was very well cared for and listened to. I do know it is my job to speak up if that isn't happening and I did that and was always met with respect and change. The room was clean and I felt safe. It was fairly quiet at night and comfortable. I was shocked by how healthy the food options were for patients. All the staff was helpful. The food was good. Ortho doctor Owens was excellent. The number one pharmacist the physical therapy staff was excellent. Had me up walking the next day. Helpful on what I needed to purchase once I got home. I recommend Dr Owens for any hip replacement. He's an outstanding orthopedic surgeon. He even called me when I returned home to California to see how I was doing. I sent photos of my incision, and he was very pleased with how they looked. read more

Horrible Hospital experience I have Ever experienced. The ER wait was over 5 hours long with horrible attitudes. I was told I was next but yet waited continuously for hours. Patient and her mom who were bragging they knew one of the doctors was taken back within less than an hour and discharged within less than hour while I was still waiting. No empathy what so ever and the staff here are extremely rude and unprofessional. They do not care about your Medical history and are all in a hurry to discharge and treat you like you're irrelevant. I received better care in California Hospital and that's unfortunate. If anyone has a better recommendation for ER or hospital services please let me know. Today I had to go to the hospital for test and the service was exceptional. The volunteer at the information desk got us to where we needed to go. The young lady at the registration desk did a good job as we were sent to another floor. Now this young lady spoke to you right away and took care of the clients right away. Horrible place. My daughter had her baby here and it was the worst experience we have ever had. The doctors were completely incompetent When I dared to yell (the only way to be heard), they called security on me, who followed me all the way down to patient advocacy and then security attempted to keep me from goi g back to my daughter. They kept us away from her, telling us that she didn't want us with her, all the while pumping her full of drugs. I took someone in to be seen and we sat in the ER for THREE hours they were in pain and vomiting with multiple health conditions going on that was repeatedly brought up as a concern and still couldn't get seen. Dr. Curt Power efling ER doctor Pathetic, forgot his oath, lacks all caring for a patient coming in having a granimal seizure. Could care less. Has no business being a doctor. No empathy, caring, compassion, left me for 2.5 hours. Refused consultation with neurologist and told us to go home and have another Granmal seizure and come back to see him. I went to the emergency room with a high fever, lower back pain, severe headache. After a 3 1/2 hour wait I was finally seen by a physician. They ran four tests, all returned negative. However, no urinalysis was given even though I presented obvious symptoms. They even had a sign on the bathroom door that said to check with the front desk before using the bathroom. We filed a complaint with the hospital and were basically told that we lied (because the nurse failed to record them) when presenting the symptoms and there was nothing more they will do. We will NEVER seek care by that hospital or any of their physicians And not only did we get poor care we were then further insulted by getting a bill from an ER doctor that should have actually been included in the original ER bill. I've had some bad experiences, but this place is the absolute worst. I checked in the ER & got my vitals took instantly. Then told to wait in the waiting room. It's noon at this time. I wait and I wait, nothing. 8 hours.. yes 8 HOURS later I get back to a room. After sitting for ANOTHER hour without seeing the doctor, I went up to the nurses desk & received nothing but hateful looks & an attitude. Sat afternoon went to ER with a Kidney Stone, to date this pain tops everything else in 60 years, got there checked in and waited over an hour. When I finally got in a room they did a chest xray first..... no problem breathing and O2 levels good I guess they just had to pay for new equipment. By the time the doctor got in to see me the stone had just about passed. 4 hours later. Only thing that made me fell better while waiting is my wife was beating on them to get me some pain relief. read more

This place is so horribly mismanaged I'm surprised they are ever able to do anything to help people. Their primary concern seems to be appearances, then they worry about patients needs. If you are scheduled for an operation, make sure you arrive at least an hour early because your wait to check in is going to take most of that time. Also, bring a book or four, they love to make you wait here. You need a warm blanket? Ha! Not likely. Need help because you can't breath? Sorry, just try to relax, because they aren't going to help you. Oh and do you have a caretaker that is also a family member that takes you everywhere? Be ready to have them tell you they can't go with you to practically any part of the hospital. You can tell the nurses want to help but are far too overworked and understaffed. The doctors: no thank you. Save your time, unless it's an emergency, and go to Washington Regional in Fayetteville. It's not much better, but anything is a step-up from this place. read more

Would not recommend. If I could have left only a 1/2 star rating I would have. The Doctors and nurses are fine. However, The Mercy Billing department will not work with you in any way. After surgery and numerous bills from various medical facilities all wanting their fair share. Mercy was the only ones that were unwilling to compromise, or work with us on what we were able to divide out among everyone. They had a set monthly fee and would not budge even a bit for anything. I personally wanted to thank a staff member at Mercy in Rogers, AR. Cindy, the employee that worked the front desk checking patients in the morning of 9/9/19, truly went above and beyond. My husband and I were at the hospital early with our newborn daughter because my father was getting a heart procedure done. I spent the majority of his time in the hospital in his room while the rest of the family waited in the lobby. While I was away, my husband took our daughter into the men's restroom to change her diaper and saw there was not a changing table. He went out to the front desk and asked Cindy if there was a place to change her so that he didn't have to expose her in the lobby area. Cindy immediately apologized and offered to change her for him. He asked if she really didn't mind and she said "no, I'd be more than happy to" and proceeded to take her to the women's restroom to change her while another employee watched the front desk. When my husband told me about this interaction, I was so happy. Cindy offering to help my husband out so that i could stay with my father meant the world to me. Thank you, Cindy! In addition to Cindy, all of the staff members were so kind and accommodating. They answered all of out questions and made us feel comfortable with the process. read more

It purely amazes me that my brother, a type one diabetic with a sever wound in his perineum, doesn't have a nurse with the proper education on giving him insulin. He is having to explain insulin to the nurse, how to count carbs, and still has to ask for more insulin for a high blood sugar. Then he has to wait, for multiple hours. His high blood sugars will not allow him to properly take care of his wound, and this is overlooked over and over again. He has a nurse who sits and waits for a doctor that won't respond. Unbelievable! This Mercy will literally cause his future complications from a simple procedure just from incompetence and poor education of staff. I truly hope you get yourselves up there, and fix this problem. The documentation of this is in OUR hands, and will be used if you cause more complications. He's only 24 years old, but has more knowledge of this disease than any staff member. He has a long life ahead unless you continue this same path and discount his life like a number on the chart. read more

Staff was extremely friendly getting checked in and promptly taken back for the MRI. I sat maybe ten minutes in a small waiting area before the Tech came and escorted to the MRI machine and was assisted in prepped and tested. I've had several MRIs over the years, for those who fear the confinement, there is nothing bad about it. The machine is loud but you have headphones that can play music if you choose. However after a few minutes as odd as it sounds I find it relaxing and a nice thirty minutes to relax. read more

The doctors and staff in the hospital and clinics are outstanding. If only the accounting/billing/customer service departments were at the same level. They are horrible. Let me help you: If you need to talk about a bill don't talk to customer service on the phone. Go in person to the hospital and speak with Laura in the billing office (2nd floor by hospital registration). * Most services are outsourced and each will bill you separately aside from the hospital/clinics * Each visit is at the hospital/clinic is a separate account. They will expect a payment toward each account (I ended up with 13 accounts) - not just a single payment. * Their online bill pay shows the total of what you owe, but it doesn't necessarily apply the payments they way want them and can get you threats of being turned over to collections. * Customer service" = internal collection agency. If you have a big bill they will offer their Commerce Bank Health Finance Account. Be careful no matter what they tell you. Commerce Bank could NOT accept my HSA cards or electronic payments from my HSA provider even after having the HSA company and Commerce Bank on a conference call together. The medical services are outstanding! I cannot emphasize this enough. It's their horrible accounting/billing process that makes me shutter to go back. read more

This one star rating is for the simple fact that you can not purchase bottle water in this hospital. However, there are machines everywhere to get soda, energy drinks, and cappuccinos. I've waited a while to write this because I wanted the emotion of it all to not be so new and I debated writing it because I thought it might hurt their reputation, BUT your health is way more important than writing bad review for a restaurant. I'll keep this as short as possible. My first experience was in their ER - my daughter was terribly sick that I couldn't wait until Monday morning (of course all sickness gets worse over the weekend), so we brought her in early Monday morning (6am) to the ER to get checked. They said she was fine and said it was just a cold. Mommy instincts here... mmm this is not just a cold, but ok. I took her home and kept doing everything I possible could to help her, but it was not helping. Took her to her normal family doctor and he immediately sent us to the hospital (this time to NW) because her O2 levels were so low and she ended up spending the week there because she had pneumonia. Second experience was also in the ER. My youngest daughter (1 year old) had a bump on her head that appeared suddenly (no falls or hits or anything that could explain it happened, so still not sure how it happened), so of course I notice it at 5pm, so off to urgent care we go. They recommend we go to Mercy ER. Mercy ER said she is fine and to go home. Well, took her to the pediatrician a day later, she freaked out and sent us back for a brain scan. Long story short they said she had fractures in her skull, but MERCY read her scan wrong - MULTIPLE doctors and nurses read it wrong. They thought her sutures were a few different fractures all over her head - seriously?! Ridiculous they read something like that wrong. It ended up leading us to get ambulanced to Mercy in Springfield and of course the police to investigate us for child abuse. Which we cooperated with of course, and I know they have to do those things because unfortunately so many kids are in bad situations, but frustrating when you have to go through with it when you know you are a great parent and no abuse happened. Also, I wanted her to go to Children's Hospital in LR, but they told me it was full. I have a connection to the head of LR children's hospital and he called me and told me they were not full and ready to take her. Well, I was already in the ambulance because Mercy would not let me wait a few minutes for the call because it took a little while to get a hold of him - rightfully so he is a busy man and the whole situation was a whirlwind (even though they made us wait hours for the ambulance). They lied about Children's being full and sent us off to their sister hospital to of course keep it in their system and their pocketbooks. They told us about a few things that Mercy Springfield could do, but they couldn't - well none of that happened. Promised a neurosurgeon would see her - nope, no one came. NOTHING happened up there that couldn't of happened in Mercy Rogers. A nurse came and she was the one who realized they read the scan wrong. Thank goodness for her, but everyone else was incompetent. To say I wasn't fuming for a long time after this is an understatement. Thank goodness my daughter is fine, but DO NOT take your kids or yourself here. They have screwed up every time I have been there. Then they of course send you the bill for them screwing up. They deserve negative stars. ALSO, don't pay up front. They will over charge and they double bill you and your insurance. We paid the first ER trip up front and found out they got the money from our insurance too and it took FOREVER to get our money back to us. read more

I would give this no stars if I could. My first visit was with a Nurse Practitioner, a terrible experience. I am new area and she was soonest person available. I checked in and waited an hour because I wasn't checked in properly. Knocked on a door and I get "who are you?". Short of it she asked me to leave and go back to check in. I was simply ready to give all medical records, go over my medication and she said you only get this and this and not that or that. No discussion, I tried and leave my office. "And by the way the PCP you were going to see was fired for over prescribing medication and I am not going to lose my license for you. No smiles on any staff. Appears they are not happy. After escalating I then got a call to see a PCP and the reminder call about the appointment I was told "you will not get this medication and this medication". No consultation again. I was dealing with a separation, relocation, death of a brother I was going to move with and this is a part of the horrible treatment of a new patient. I called the VA hotline due to this entire situation I was in and getting no help. I was told to go to the VA emergency room and was seen immediately. The mental health PCP was nice, understanding and gave me what I needed for 7 days to arrange a follow up. At that follow up we "discussed" everything and worked out desired changes to medication and received labs and still seeing them. After this I no longer would go to this facility. I was given a new PCP away from there and a good 6-7 weeks later. I have a My Mercy program to access all appointments results. Prior to the final PCP visit it asked me to fill out many questionnaires which I did. At his visit I took a daughter for my protection against treatment I'd received. Turned out he cannot see those questionnaires. I retain him should I get a cold or emergency. I have escalated this experience and no apologies, no call how are you or sorry. Worst medical organization I have ever come in contact with. A completely disorganized group. read more
