Was just here Dec 13th for a pop up sound bath. We arrived early so we could spend some time exploring. I was glad we did! The grounds are an eclectic group of stones, hammocks and fire pits. It was really cold so the fire was espeically welcoming. When it was time for the bath we made our way into the integratron. I was surprised that we had to take off our shoes (only because I hadn't brought socks) and that the only way to the second floor where they do the baths was up a wood ladder. Fine for me but a little more challenging for my 72 yr old mom. There's no heat so make sure you dress warm or take plenty of blankets, which they provide. After everyone gets situated, one of the staff gives a super brief history (this could have been expanded) on the structure and the crystal bowls. Then it's off the adult napping/meditation with the bowls. At first it's loud and not as soothing as I imagined, but that was probably just me getting attuned to the vibration. Once I closed my eyes, focused on my intention for the session I was OUT! I simply remember waking up and having a wonderful, peaceful feeling washing over me. Wonderful experience and I look forward to going back for more experiences in the Integratron. It would have been a 5 star rating but both before and after our sound bath we couldn't find a staff member anywhere. We were hoping to buy t-shirts but alas we could not. Maybe next time... Certainly worth the drive...be sure to spend some time before you go to think about what you want to accomplish...enjoy! read more

A great day get away for a zen experience. Beautiful energy in the middle of nowhere. I'd love to have a party there. It's really cool and relaxing. We got lucky and had the perfect weather. The staff was really friendly and supplied well water. You need water here. A cool meditative experience. I'd go back. I agree with another review about needing an employee inside to poke the snorers. Afterwards we went to pioneer town and ate at Pappys and Harriet's. That was a great experience too! read more

We booked the whole property sight unseen for our wedding. It was a blast! The Integratron itself is very neat. The grounds around it are awesome too. Joanne couldn't have been nicer. Our guests loved it. The price was very reasonable. These are smart, nice people. Talk to them and tell them what you have in mind. They'll help you get there. Totally worth the trip to the middle of nowhere, the Integratron is a funky little desert experience. After the sound bath, you sort of feel like you just had a massage or did yoga, it's very relaxing. The grounds are nice too, the hammock village was definitely a bonus. read more

So I was curious to know why some people have rated this place as a terrible review on another travel critique website and the two reasons were: kids and it was closed. First of all if you plan a trip and not check if it's open before you go than that's on you. Secondly I have to remind people not all places are kid friendly. this place is for individuals that need to ground themselves from a life stress. It's not done automatically for you and there's no puppet show. You have to do your leg work too to get the fulfillment of what the sound bath offers. I just think people need to understand it's not for everyone and you shouldn't hate it because it wasn't for you or your lifestyle. I've been multiple times now and enjoyed it. It's refreshing to leave feeling satisfied with what life you are living. Just be respectful when you visit. read more

This is a beautiful structure in a beautiful place. I loved the "sound bath". the Quartz bowls have a really unusual sound. Super beautiful! The sound can be physically felt throughout your entire body. I felt very peaceful and light afterwards! The only drawback is that the actual live music only lasted for about 20 minutes. After that a very repetitive recorded piece is played for way too long. My friends and I were unsure what was going on at this point so we just stayed. Apparently you can leave quietly after about 10 minutes of this. I would suggest doing that. read more

Came here on a friends recommendation. It books up far in advance so plan ahead in order to secure a spot. The grounds are nice and well kept. There's a cool hammock village to hang in while you wait. The sound bath put me to bed in a few minutes. A deep deep relaxing sleep. This didn't change my life but it definitely relaxed me. Did the public soundbath w my adult daughter for Mother's Day- she went downstairs because it was too intense for her but I stayed and must say it was a very enjoyable experience. This is something very unique to attend- the sound vibrations are so deep you can feel them in your bones and the tones expand from one side of your brain to another so it can be a bit disconcerting until you relax and get into it. I felt very rested and peaceful afterwards- a great deal for $15. Quite a drive through nowhere to get there but that only makes it more exciting and mystical. You take off your shoes and climb a very steep ladder- blankets and mats are provided. A wonderful desert attraction.. :) Happy Trails! read more

I love this place and the sound bath experience. My first visit came amidst a beautiful weekend of exploring Joshua Tree and a very challenging time in my life. The sound bath was extraordinarily healing - absolute peace and beauty in the mindfully non-communicating company of others. I found the details - down to the cards in the bathroom with words of wisdom about forgiveness and other practices for finding tranquility and ease in life - wonderful. We had 2 sound baths in a day here. It was the most incredible experience. I can't really explain how calming it is. You just need to experience this for yourself. I like the fact that they do public sound baths, private ones as well as you can rent out the location. We came here for the Perseid Meteor shower event on August 10th. It was beautiful to see the meteors lay on the grass and gaze at the stars. There is something that is magical about this area. Do your research on George Van Tassel as he was a pretty incredible man. And visit the Giant Rock. read more

This is a great place to visit for those who love the strange. I am one of those people! It was an exciting experience driving out to the middle of nowhere searching for this place. I kept thinking I may have gone the wrong way because it is really out there. I got there and to my surprise there were a lot of people waiting to join the public sound bath. It is much more well known than I thought. There is a cool place to hang out while you are waiting. I grabbed one of my hammocks and relaxed in the shade. The compound is a bit quirky and hippie looking. Inside the Integratron you have to remove your shoes and grab a mat to lie on. You lie there for 45 minutes while they play these relaxing crystal bowls. I fell asleep for part of it then grew a bit restless waiting for it to be over. It was beautiful, but I'm just an adrenaline filled type of person. If you fall asleep, be careful not to snore! They ask you to try to not snore but I heard some people snoring. read more

Very interesting in many ways. My friend had a complete out of body experience there, but I just found it relaxing and a great break.

I saw a fellow Yelper's review on this place and just had to try it out. My husband and I visited about a month ago...with our three kids. I made a reservation at 10:30 a.m., and his was at noon. When we arrived, we checked in and spoke to Travis. He's a wealth of information and is very, very helpful and friendly. The check-in place/gift shop has some crazy acoustics itself. It was cool, I must say! After check-in, we hung out in the hammocks in the courtyard for a little bit. My kids were actually behaving well. I was a little nervous about them being noisy (and I bet the people trying to relax were, too), but they were great! Water is available to everyone via a fancy fountain in the courtyard, and you're able to fill up water bottles. I must add that the restrooms were pristine... While inside, my experience was nothing short of amazing. I'm not sure if I fell asleep, but my mind definitely went somewhere else far, far away! They provide enough blankets for you. Please use these and don't bring your own sleeping bags. The ladies behind me (four of them) would move around a lot in the beginning, and all I could hear were sleeping bag noises. Luckily, that stopped eventually. The bowl-playing was over before I knew it, and then the recorded music started. On the first note, people were already getting up and leaving. Yes, it was distracting, but it didn't bother me too much. When it was my husband's turn, I took the kids to what I thought was Giant Rock. It wasn't, but we ended up at some different giant rock. It was really awesome for the kids to run around and climb up the rock(s). All of a sudden, I realized it was time to pick the hubby up. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I'd do it again...maybe with the kids next time. read more

Very cold, bring warm clothes, there is no place to wait indoors. The fire pit helped a little, but it s in the desert so it can get very cold. On our visit, Jan 1 it snowed. If you bring kids, bring things to play with since they can t join you in the Integratron. read more

I saw the Integratron on Anthony Bourdain's show " No Reservations," so I decided to attend the public sound bath, which is held two weekends a month. It's a great deal for $10. There's ample parking on the clean and well kept grounds. I got there about 40 minutes early, which I advise for those who want to get the best spots on the mats around the center of the dome's interior (see photo). Otherwise, you'll have to lay around the outer edge using the blankets, pillows and mats provided while they last. Bring your own mats if you think you're going to be late. The acoustics are best in the center of the dome. When I stood in the center, I got scared by the sound of my own voice. It's amazing how the sound is amplified and concentrated. Have your partner lay opposite you in the circle and you can hear every sound they make. Seriously, it's as if their voice is coming from inside your head. The same is true once the sound bath starts. The sounds from the quartz crystal bowls penetrate your entire body. You feel as if your entire body is vibrating to the frequency of the sounds and, as I relaxed, I began seeing the colors blue, then green, then yellow. I hadn't slept well the night before, but I felt completely refreshed and more alert after the bath. The place is owned and operated by two sisters and both were very pleasant, serene people. There's a nice outdoor bar area and a small stage, which appear to be for private party rentals. A must try if you're in the Palm Springs area or High Desert! I'll definitely be back! read more

I loved everything about my experience here! I had been tipped off this is an adventure worth having and to book early. Appointment in hand I headed out to Landers not fully knowing what to expect. I liked the drive out there and seeing how the landscaped changed from other places like palm springs, desert hot springs and joshua tree I had already been exposed to. Upon arrival I could tell this was a special place. The grounds alone are worth coming out to lounge in. There is a "hammock garden" and colorful decor and art designs. Even the bathrooms are cute. The gift shop has a video playing on loop of the fascinating history of the place - which is great to take in while you wait. I'd say arrive at least 30 minutes before the sound bath to take it all in. This was my first sound bath but won't be my last. The building itself lends to fully experiencing all the sound reverberations of the crystal bowls. I found it to be very relaxing and soothing - and I had some clarity around life stuff surface - kind of like a therapy session without the therapist. Wow. I loved it. Rookie tip: Go eat at La Copine after! You won't regret it! read more

I only complaint is that the quartz bowls playing only last for 25/30 min it should have been longer. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it! My favorite unexpected secret find of the year. Read up on it's history before you go as there are no real tours available. Watch interview with George VanTassel on youtube. So fascinating. Will enhance your experience for sure. The full day $145 deal was so-so.1st 1/2 at Big Rock was excellent. 2nd 1/2 back at Integreton was a slideshow about his own research on subject matter unrelated. No information given about the actual building of Integreton. Failed to see it's relevance. Kinda weird. But he was a good guy and very knowledgable so glad I went for first visit. Either way, DEFINITELY go to Big Rock though and it's neighboring quartz mountain while you're there. Sacred ground. Overall, just loved the place. Only wish was that there was a local campground or availability to camp on grounds like there was in the past. Aliens from Venus, the perfect sound machine, underground dwellings, time machine? I came upon it quite by accident during a visit to Palm Springs on a photographic adventure. Started out in Joshua Tree then as I made my way back to the Springs happened upon the Integraton, next day I returned with my entourage and we took the 'bath'. For me it was more the history of Tassel and extraterrestrials and mystical Indian tribes that carried the day. My review if for all those who end up like I did, and miss a sound bath session. I read the suggestions that we needed to arrive an hour early, and its TRUE!! We actually made a wrong turn and ended up arriving 50 minutes early, and we missed the tickets for the first session. (this was a no reservation weekend) They sold out within 10 minutes. Sadly, we decided we didn't want to hang around for 2 hours so we left. However, upon leaving we were met with a pleasant surprise. There is a place called The Landers Brew just down the road. We pulled over to have a drink since we were bummed about missing the sound bath. The outside looked like a stucco house, and the inside was Clean and decorated with a modern feel. The Owner Phillip was very cool, and his bartender was a very sweet lady!! We loved it. So my advice is, if you miss a session and need a place to kill time, drive back down the road, and kill time at the Landers Brew. They have pool tables too. Had I known this, I would have bought the tickets to the next session, and waited it out at the bar:0) I will be back and definitely update my review!! This place was a unique way to spend an hour or so on a recent trip to Palm Springs/Joshua Tree! I went on a winter holiday weekend, and oh my, was it crowded! Who would have thought that so many other people would be interested in a new age sound bath in a giant dome in the middle of the desert? We were packed in like sardines, someone's feet were two inches from my head, and another person was lying length wise at my toes. So, you might want to check it out on a non-holiday weekend. The sound bath itself was cool, very relaxing and calming. some people fell asleep! The crystals were each played for several minutes and each one is said to stimulate a different chakra in your body. Interesting! i would have liked it much more at a less crowded time, as it was hard to fully relax while trying to avoid kicking others in the face and while listening to strangers cough and snore in my ear! it might be worth it to shell out the bucks for the private session, if you are really into that kind of thing. The employees were very friendly and gracious. There were awesome hammocks and a chair swing on the grounds, which we took full advantage of after the bath! I left feeling rejuvenated and ready for the next adventure! read more

This place is remarkable and definitely good to try - once. That being said, I was disappointed when the man who was to play the bowls gave a very long, seemingly endless intro, (who cares??) then he played the bowls in such a masterly way it was transcendent! But he stopped playing the bowls short of the time allotted and turned on a cheesy tape recorder with mellow electronic music for the remainder . . . whaaaaa???? I mentioned this to the man behind the desk in the office downstairs and he replied that people are soo blown away by the intense energy, so they have to only give us a little taste. When I insisted that people can and indeed do handle an hour long sound bath just fine, he replied, "hey we're burners, we like to keep it light." I won't be returning, although I would go back as often as possible if you actually got an hour or even a good fifty minutes of sound bath. The environment is so unique, it's like being inside of an acoustic guitar. A shame that the folks running it are making so much dough and offering a sliver of value. Enjoy the unique space if you haven't been before and make your own choice whether to return and repeat or not. read more

I went here with a group of friends to try out the famed sound bath. Yes, the dome is aesthetically gorgeous, the acoustics are unlike anything I've experienced and the setting way out in the desert is hauntingly beautiful. When all was said and done, $20 for the sound bath felt like a bit of a waste to me. I didn't hallucinate, feel any spiritual vibrations or get "wowed" on any type of a deeper plane. Despite the yoga mat, blankets and pillow I still felt a bit cold and not entirely comfortable once the bowl audio commenced after the extended introduction by our hippie attendant/guide. Yeah, it did sound kind of cool for a few minutes, but I honestly got bored and let my mind wander back through all the apartments I had lived in until our time was up. I left feeling relaxed, yet unsatisfied and slightly annoyed. I'm glad I did it, but I don't think I'll ever go back. The $15 you can pay for a week's access to nearby Joshua Tree National Park is a much better investment. I'm skeptical to the point of annoying people. I grew up with a very we-eeeh-oooh experience and left it all to become a scientist and an atheist and all that come with it. With that said, I walked in to in Integratron with skepticism, and inward negative views about these sorts of things. However, I would be remiss to suggest that I walked out the same person walking in. The best I can explain it is that I felt like my chalkboard had been erased - and the experience left me with a strange feeling- I like this new feeling but I'm still skeptical 3 days later and I'm just wondering how long this feeling is expected to last- not that it's a bad feeling, I just expected that I'd have no reaction at all - I was wrong. If indeed this experience has somehow broken through my mind and left me with something more comfortable, even for a few days, then it might be good for others as well. I am questionable about it's "alien influence", but hell, if you walk away feeling better about the world, who am I to judge? read more
