I just delivered at OCH and it was by far the best birth experience I've ever had. The doctors and…read morethe nurses are all amazing. I wasn't progressing as fast as we thought I'd be so I asked to go home and labor there for a while and they let us do that. I went back in at midnight when my contractions were getting worse and they let me labor in peace and helped with counter pressure when I needed it. Jill, Marta, and Christie were the best nurses although there were so many more that I can't remember the names of that were so helpful during delivery. The room we had was 116 and it had beautiful views of the mountains and was huge. It does have a jetted tub but the heat didn't go up to where I like it but that's probably on purpose. The food for lunch and dinner were excellent and moms can order as much as we want!! You labor deliver and recover all in the same room but we didn't get to experience that part because our son went straight to the nursery for lung problems. The on staff pediatrician Dr Penman is incredible and we decided to choose him afterwards to take care of Baby C. They were very quick with extra tests like echocardiograms and worked very fast when life flight came to pick our son up and take him to UVH. I wouldn't deliver anywhere else if I ever have another child.

I went to the Orem Community Hospital Emergency Room yesterday morning at the request of my dentist…read morebecause I have a severely infected tooth, a visibly huge and swollen cheek, and so much pain, OTC meds weren't touching it so I was forced to take my back pain meds (which still didn't take the pain away,) as well as a fever of 103.4 earlier in the morning. My dentist thought I should go to the ER for IV antibiotics for fear that my tooth infection had turned into something much more serious because the antibiotics he gave me weren't working. The admitting person was a sweetheart as was the male nurse; both compassionate, empathetic, and kind. The doctor came in and made me feel foolish and idiotic for going to the ER for 'simple' tooth pain, actually pulling faces at the mention of a dentist sending someone to the ER, and rolling her eyes. THEN, when she seemingly, finally decided to figure out exactly what was going on, she sat down in front of me and said, "Hon, tell me what is going on. How did this happen?" All I could think was, are you serious?? I mean look at my ginormous, pink cheek, lady!! She talked to me as if I were a child and was extremely condescending. I just felt stupid and wanted to leave and go to a different ER but I had an IV at that point (for blood tests, mind you, not antibiotics). Then she sent me in for CT scans of my face to make certain that the infection hadn't spread anywhere dangerous, finally taking my issue seriously. She didn't give me the IV antibiotics for the severe infection, she simply 'upped' my antibiotic (from the one the dentist gave me) to a stronger one. How hard would it have been to simply give me even just a injection of stronger antibiotics?? Or better still, through the IV that was already in my arm?!? Then, she numbed my tooth to take away some of the pain, which it did, for about 30 minutes when the pain came back with a vengeance. I feel like the doctor didn't like being told what to do from a measly dentist, or God forbid, me, and didn't do the antibiotics out of sheer stubbornness and pride. No, I did not go to medical school, I am not a doctor and will not pretend to know how to heal someone in the way a doctor can. I do know my body and knew something was wrong. I also know empathy, which this doctor didn't seem to posses, nor, really, did the female nurse who just acted like it was an inconvenience for me to be there. I went to this ER with the hopes of having some relief from my pain and severe infection. I left feeling stupid for going in the first place. There was no empathy, compassion, or even patience from this doctor. I know there are other doctors working at the Orem Community Hospital's ER, some with likely more empathy than was shown me, but I will *never* chance that again. I will drive the extra several miles to AF Hospital's ER where they are kind, respectful, and even humble enough to listen.

A greeter to field the low hanging fruit. The decor is fresh, lots of light. Vibrant and alive with a good energy. Team members are dressed in red polos and have great smiles. I saw a sign " A health tradition of putting patients and employees first" . Definitely feel that care. I hung out as my friend checked in. They gave me a coupon for 20% off for cafe Tumbleweeds... daily specials Monday to Friday. Today is roasted turkey breast, masked taters and dressing, yes gravy too... all for $8!!! And I get 20% off?!?! The turkey was so moist... I forgot there's also string beans. This was a very good lunch, affordable and plenty... so full right now. I finished my cafe experience with a 16 ounce cappuccino from the espresso bar... they make smoothies too. There's also a machine that makes vegan blends. No sugar, vegan, healthy... I'm full so haven't test this one but looks promising. I love this place

She truly listens to you and recommends things to do for your pregnancy symptoms. She works closely with Dr. Harker at the Madsen location. They also have you register for the MyChart app that comes in so handy for communication with the NP, Obstetrician, front staff, etc. the app helps get schedules, lab results, documents for work, and more. I was amazed by this since most places do it old school and they either call you or you have to go in. Truly an amazing place if you are pregnant and want to establish care through your pregnancy! Unfortunately I am moving to a different state and have to establish new care.

He immediately had me take some x-rays, which I thought was going to be a huge waste of time and money because it was obviously just a muscle issue. I wouldn't be walking if it was bone, right? I was so wrong. Turns out that the injury is actually a broken pelvis. Dr. Nelson's intuition and on-site imaging technology changed my entire season over about the course of 5 minutes. I'm so grateful he didn't just do the basic physical that most doctors would have done and just assigned me some strengthening exercises. He got to the heart of the issue. What impresses me most about Dr. Nelson, however, is his bedside manner. He was so kind when I burst into tears and has been patient with me when I have argued (again and again) about what exercises he'd let me do. He knows I'm extremely competitive and is good at harnessing that to help me be the "best healer" I can be and get back to racing as quickly as possible. The whole staff is super kind and courteous. It's easy to get an appointment. Although I can't quite say it's been a pleasure being their patient, they couldn't make the experience any better.

Something needs to change. The follow up appointment could have been discussed in a one minute phone call rather than having him go in and charging us such an excessive amount of money for a five minute follow up. I really wish we could be more confident in the care we receive without being charged such excessive amounts of money.

I especially appreciated how understanding he was given my complicated and atypical situation. He acknowledged that, as a male provider, he may not always fully understand the experiences and challenges women face, and I felt like he genuinely listened to my concerns without making assumptions. He offered treatment options that aligned with what I was looking for, along with a clear backup plan if the initial treatment wasn't effective. I'm often a little skeptical about seeing male providers because I've had experiences where I didn't feel fully listened to or taken seriously, but Cory made me feel comfortable, respected, and well cared for. I'm grateful I was able to get the care I needed, and I would absolutely feel comfortable seeing him again! I love this practice and will never go anywhere else.

Unethical or Medical Malpractice:…read more I scheduled and attended a Yearly Physical / Preventive Care appointment on May 28, 2026. Prior to scheduling and during my visit, I clearly specified that this was a preventive care visit (covered by insurance): 1: In writing via text prior to the appointment. 2: Verbally at the front desk upon arrival. 3: Verbally to Dr. Rice Cary during the visit. Despite this, the billing department submitted an incorrect service code, leading to an insurance claim denial. When attempting to resolve this, my emails went unanswered, and multiple voicemails left with the office were never returned. On 07/27/2026, I received a call from their office stating the bill would not be adjusted and that the balance would be sent to collections if unpaid. Demanding payment and threatening collections over an uncorrected internal billing code mistake--without returning calls or addressing the documentation--is extremely frustrating. I recommend caution regarding their billing accuracy and customer service responsiveness.
