The first time, unlimited class package is a great bargain if you were to compare pricing to other locations in the vicinity. There are showers as well as lockers for storage as classes sometimes are 90min+ . Wide variety of instructors which I always value. I've just started my second month and the rate is 130$. They offer towels, as well (I've never taken one, though) and easy sign up through the mobile app. I have noticed the temperature during class between seasons can vary, which is very important to me (bc otherwise it's just regular yoga, which isn't worth 130$) so I am a stickler. Classes during the weekend are very packed at times (earliest being10AM) . I prefer sessions @ 6AM during the week. Hopefully they begin offering the same time over the weekends. TLDR; worth the cost (ONLY if you stay consistent and go x2-x3 a week) . Sometimes teachers will make tea post-session. All around decent vibe. Clean facilities. Always has body wash. Small parking lot. I have not sensed any weirdness at all (sometimes is an issue at studios w heavy culture) --That's what it's about ! Would recommend to someone w a frequent practice

Also loved that the studio was very close to my apartment and the hospital that I work at. The membership is rather pricey per month, that's the only reason I stopped going. Definitely would recommend dropping into a class here.

I can be intimated by group classes, especially if most people in attendance know what they are…read moredoing. See: going to a random yoga drop in and the instructor throwing out pose names without any guidance and me covertly seeing how my neighbor is bending. Thankfully, Body Garage is the opposite of that. The classes have great descriptions for what the workout entails, and each instructor that I have taken classes with has explained every exercise with detail and is great at meeting people at whatever level they are at. Really diverse classes too in terms of age and fitness levels, so you don't feel like you're working out in a class of pro athletes. It's easy to book classes online and there are lots of time slots to work with everyone's schedules. Also Terra, the owner, is just a fantastic human being. Her classes are my favorite to attend!

DBG is a great neighborhood gym. Don't let the exterior fool you--there really is no indication…read morethat this in fact a gym and not a car body garage. I am probably not the only person who has sat in their car outside triple-checking the address to make sure I was in the right spot. DBG has a variety of classes that are all a play on car-mechanic terms (e.g. Full Throttle, High Octane, Suspension). The classes vary in length and cater to the different needs and goals of the clients. For instance, there is a class called Firebirds whose description starts "Bring your stroller & let's get moving Mamas!" which mentions movement but also community. Though I will never attend this class, I am glad the local mothers are able to work out and build community. Tune-up is the class that I have attended and it fits in with what I need: it's usually at noon during the week and it an intense 30 min full body workout. The gym does have pretty good central air so if you get a spot right under a vent and in front of a fan, you can make it through this class in the height of summer without dying. DBG also does community events and various free workouts and happy hours that they post on their social media if you want to try them out in a no commitment way. I got an introductory priced class pass, that I found on the MindBody app and when that runs out, I will buy regularly-priced punch card, though they also have monthly membership and drop-in rates too. Thanks Terra and co!

The room itself (a bedroom and a living room space) was super cutely decorated and the perfect amount of room for the two of us doing an overnight stay. The overall Convent space is pretty interesting and unlike anywhere I've ever stayed before. The downstairs space is a very large rooms/event spaces that are all decorated with bits of art from local artists that you can purchase and is independently run from the AirBNB. There was an event they were setting up for in the downstairs space for later that evening when we showed up and I believe the event happened and was taken down in the span of time it took for us to go out to dinner and come back, so that was interesting lol! The upstairs space is a long hallway with various different businesses in rooms on either side of the hall, with the high majority of these businesses focused on holistic healing and arts. My friend and I took advantage of our close proximity to these businesses and booked individual sessions with an energy healer that did energy readings of us, which was very enlightening for the both of us! The bathroom for the AirBNB is communal and located at the end of the hallway on this second floor closest to the AirBNB, but I assume that everyone in the building can access it as it has two stalls, two sinks, and a shower if you're so inclined as well. All in all, it was a good experience and I'm glad to have done it, but I don't know that I would personally do it again. I felt a steady level of anxiousness the entire time I was here, which I'm not entirely sure where that came from, but I think I could just chalk it up to me being in a space where I didn't feel completely safe even though there wasn't anything specific that made me feel unsafe here by any means. I just felt a tiny bit on edge the entire time I was here.
