Dustin greeted us warmly and had us fill out our intake forms and told us they would be with us shortly. Dustin informed us that he would me working on me and Cassie would be working on my husband. We filled out the forms and were shortly walking into the couples room. The room was warm and inviting. We were instructed to dress down to our own comfort level on our stomachs. There are hooks and a bench to set your personal items on. Dustin reviewed my intake form and confirmed the areas for concentration for the session and I explained how I had a pinched nerve in my left shoulder that was causing some pain and numbness in my left arm, shoulder down to my hand. He explained his plan of attack to relieve some of the tension and tightness and what could be causing the nerve to be aggravated to me. He kneaded and helped relieved the tightness in my shoulder and neck area well during the session. At the end of my session my numbness had subsided and I felt more relaxed than when I had entered the session. Dustin also checked that the pressure was sufficient a couple of times during my session and told me to let him know if there was any pain or discomfort at all. I felt very comfortable and in great hands with Dustin. He is very knowledgeable about the muscles and the body as whole and explained how the tightness of muscles in the neck can cause the nerve to be aggravated and how I could massage the front of the neck muscles to provide some relief between sessions. Dustin said they would be moving to a new location near 11 and Woodward. I can't wait to see their new location and can't wait for my next session with him. If I could I would get a massage every week, that would be my life goal. Check Dustin out and you will need no other massage therapist in your life, he's that good. Felt like that time should have been made up. My second issues was: they laid me flat on my back. That's a no no for a pregnant woman. I began to feel nauseous laying flat on my back and my baby began to hurt more! The reason was their beds don't raise to accommodate a growing baby belly. So I asked the therapist to let me change positions. She obliged but mentioned she would need to change her massage plan. Prior to this experience I had 2 other prenatal massages and neither one laid me on my back. I would suggest they get beds that can be adjusted to better position to accommodate a growing pregnant belly. Also the spa is located in an office building on the lower level.
