What a horrible experience!…read more I started interviewing Solar companies in April 2023. I chose Cubix after getting 4 different estimates. They were not the cheapest, they were in the middle $89,000 for panels and batteries. I chose Cubix because they said they could work with and arrange a new roof being installed on my home before installing the solar panels and batteries. I thought working with one company that could facilitate the whole job would make the process easier. I got three roof estimates on my own and Cubix provided me one from a roofer they recommended. Once again, their roof was not the cheapest, but I was willing to pay a $3,000 more, thinking the process and installation would be more streamlined with "Their" roofer. I approved and selected their roofing quote, $24,000 on June 15, 2023 and told them to schedule the roof installation. They told me when we signed the contract that payments on the solar equipment and installation would not start until 60 days after the solar installation was completed and I was satisfied with their work. It turns out that they never scheduled the roof work to be done. Cubix called me On August 28th to tell me that the roof had gone up in price by $11,000, and that it would now cost $35,000. The roofer also had 4 other houses to do before they could get to mine. I told them that I live in Northern Idaho and that they need to hurry because by November we will have snow and no work will get done till Spring. My Contact Josh at Cubix said no problem! Around September 15th, Josh from Cubix called me and said that the lender would be calling me to verify that the work had been completed to my satisfaction and that if I told them that it had, he would send me a $100 gift card. I told him I would not do that. Someone at Cubix must have done that because........ On October 6th, the lender that we did the solar equipment loan with emailed me to inform me that my first loan payment was due on November 1, 2023. No one from Cubix had even set foot on my property. No work had been done! No one from Cubix had ever even visited my home and I still had my original roof. But my first loan payment was due. I called Josh at Cubix, and he said there must be a mistake, but there wasn't. I was on the hook for $124,000 in loans for the solar and roof and no work on my home had even been started! It's now November 8, 2023 and my first loan payment is a week late. When I spoke to Josh today, he said that I was very rude and that he didn't want to work with me anymore and cancelled the project! He said he would call the lender and cancel the loan. THAT HAS STILL NBOT HAPPENED. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! I AM STILL ON THE HOOK FOR $124,000 IN LOANS and no one from Cubix ever set foot on my property. My next call is to the Attorney Generals Office. RUN DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE

Gerald is very unprofessional. I hired him to switch out my SolarEdge inverter. I was fine…read moreoverlooking the fact that at the last minute he let me know he'd be about 3 hours later than our original scheduled time. He came and did the job, but when SolarEdge checked to see why the inverter wasn't working, it had apparently been connected incorrectly or not at all! When I tried to have Gerald fix the problem, didn't want to be bothered with fixing HIS mistake so refunded LESS than 2/3rds of my money and said he would not have any further involvement with my system. What kind of professional does that? Well none!! Gerald is NOT a professional. Now I am still without solar power and have to pay someone Much more than what he refunded me, to fix his mistake. Do NOT use this guy!
