Broken Tooth! Dr. Dunham to the Rescue! Having recently moved to Greeley, a broken tooth had me scouting for a dentist to get that tooth checked out. This was my first visit to Integrated Dental Arts (IDA). My husband, who we knew needed a lot of work done (implants etc for several teeth), had recommended this practice to me as he'd recently seen Dr. Benson, also of IDA. My review in brief is this: Everyone I dealt with there was a capable professional, genuinely friendly, and showed real attention to detail. I was very satisfied with the work done (prepping the broken tooth for crown, creating and placing a temporary crown, and then "installing" a new crown the following day. I really appreciated how everyone there goes out of their way to make the experience as pleasant as possible, and to proactively address any special needs their patients may have. Communication was straight forward about what needed to be done and what the cost to me would be. There was none of the pushy, upselling sales talk that I've experienced at other dental practices. As a result, I've now recommended IDA to both of my adult children. MORE INFO ON MY EXPERIENCE: I knew would need a crown because of how much had broken off & hoped it wouldn't need root canal. Sure enough, a crown was needed and they made time to take care of it same day - which I really appreciated. Dr. Dunham explained in advance that given how close to the nerve the tooth had broken off, it was very possible a root canal would be needed along with a crown. The gal who handles the business side of things then let me know what the cost would be to me in either case (after factoring in what my dental insurance would cover). Because IDA was a provider for my insurance, the cost to me was much less than the last crown I'd had done (before I moved to Greeley) with a dentist who was did not take my dental insurance. I also noticed on their web site that they have several options for folks who don't have dental insurance - a real public service, in my mind, as a lot of folks don't dental insurance these days. They offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and sedation for those who have anxiety about pain or dental procedures in general. I didn't need that, but appreciated that they made sure the topical anesthetic had enough time to really numb my gums before doing the injections to numb the tooth/nerve. Erica, the dental tech assisting Dr Dunham, really went above and beyond to address some special needs I have due to some chronic medical conditions. She also gave me some advice on how to reduce problems I've always had with the gag reflex while getting dental X-rays and other dental procedures. I can't believe that at age 55 nobody had ever explained to me that breathing deeply through your nose, thereby eliminating air flow in your mouth and upper throat, really does shut down the gag reflex. That advice really helped make this procedure A LOT more pleasant experience than other crowns in the past. Thanks, Erica! Dr. Dunham worked steadily and efficiently, getting the work done well, and in a reasonable amount of time. He also used applied some material called (I think) a "root cap" that, fortunately, meant that we were able to avoid a root canal. Hooray! I was really happy that my crown was one that could be produced in house at IDA, so I got my permanent crown the very next day. It looks great and, most importantly, fits really well. Even though there was much less adjusting of the surface than I'd had with other crowns in the past, I really appreciated the care Dr. Dunham took to make sure it fit so well. In the month and a half or so since I got my crown, I continue to be very happy with the fit & look of this crown . Because I was so impressed with the quality of the work, as well as the friendliness and professionalism of everyone there, I made an appointment to get a regular exam and cleaning... Never have I had the pleasure of working with a dental office that is so polite, cordial, and over all incredible. If you have a choice between this office and any other, there really is no choice. I had my first teeth cleaning in approx. 1 year at IDA. I was expecting a painful cleaning, however it was by fair the smoothest, most pain free cleaning I have ever had. 3 cavities were found and will be heading in to get those fixed, but I'm honestly not anxious for the appt based on how the cleaning went!! read more

I can't even give this dentist 1-star!! But I had to to continue this post I had four implants put in by Melvin Benson jr. DDS 3- months ago and I have to already have them removed. We spent over $22,000 for dental work and it's costing me $8,000 just to remove the mess he made of my mouth only to have another dentist start on the implants all over again. Amazing, incredible, off the charts friendly, clean and knowledgeable! I was referred to Integrated by another dentist because I had a life threatening experience at Comfort Dental with Dr Patrick. I called Integrated at 1:00 and Angela got me in at 3:00. I can't explain how awesome each and everyone was to me. Melissa the hygienist pretty much held my hand through the whole procedure. The staff has been wonderful. Very friendly and competently professional. The hygienist did a deep cleaning that did not hurt much at all after the nicacane wore off. I am in the middle of an implant, waiting for the bone to heal. The process has been well explained and not too painful right after. I did not need pain meds for as long as I expected. The implant went in so well they expect to complete it in only 3 months. Doctor Benson has been easy to talk to. No hard sell at all. They take care of the insurance paperwork.
