Recently, I had to visit the AAA office because a family member used my companion membership excessively and caused charges. I got charged 4 time at $100 each because additional member in the family can only use twice in a year on the Classic Membership. Four hundred dollars is a lot of money to me. I came to the office few weeks ago to inquire about how to remove her from my account. The lady behind the counter seemed to be a new-hire. She had to ask her coworker and printed out a summary from her screen. She gave me a paper with highlights of 4 $100 items. At that time, it was only a $200 bill. Of course, I was puzzled with $400 but my bill was only $200. I wanted to get an updated bill, but they don't provide me one. So, I went home to pay with a customer service representative. That call took over an hour because they can't find my Texas membership and kept denying me even existed. Yeah. I started my AAA Membership in California. Then, I moved to Hawaii. About 18 years ago, I moved to Texas. Whenever I call, it kept referring me to my Hawaii membership. "Sorry sir, your account is cancelled." WHAT??! I was furious. So, I came back to the office again. This time, I talked to an experienced agent on the counter, Paul (I hope I got his name right). He broke things down to explain the details to my satisfaction. Prior to stepped into the office, I had very low expectation and about to postpone my membership if they want to charge me again. End result, I think I am going to move my insurance policies to AAA.

I told him on several occasions, I don't care for it but said get it for a discount with my auto. A health plan discount, drive safe, and defensive driving discounts were added and then removed without notice. Defensive driving passing document submitted but didn't qualify for discount as it was not a certificate which was not disclosed to me. After numerous calls and an office visit he still had no idea what my monthly costs were and kept saying the discounts will be added in a few days. I fully disclosed any and all At Fault accidents several times before starting coverage. Requested to cancel any and all policies set up at this office and after they confirmed through text, I continued to get billed for the bundled health plan. To this day I have an outstanding balance for the health plan and the difference of auto insurance. I had the policy for 2 months and was billed for a 3rd month, which I canceled before the 3rd billing cycle with confirmation texts from their office. Original quote, first, and second month I paid was $335.94 to a third month $498.31 where I never had insurance as I canceled before the 19th. Communicate with underwriting before changing the price 2 billing cycles later then tell me I owe the difference for month 1 and 2. As you can see the screenshot I was also charged back pay for the health plan which I didn't need nor receive the bundled discount as John said I would.
