While I love the concept of this company I will find my own installer next time. They claim their installers are vetted- but how? It is truly a roll of the dice if you get a good one or a horrible one. They could do themselves a huge service by letting the customer rate the contractor and get rid of ones who are constantly rated poorly. While I won't go into my issues I had with a LVP install I will never use IME again. Floor and Decor and Lowe's both use this company. I have no doubt there are good installers associated with them but there is simply no way I'd take a chance again. Customer service was extremely poor and all they could do when I complained is say job was done and to pay. I hired someone to fix the install and finally got original contractor to pay half that cost but this was the most aggravating company and contractor I've ever dealt with. It's unfortunate they have so many bad reviews- I really think they need to terminate the problem ones to reduce complaints. And give the consumer a voice in who you keep. Made an appointment with this company. They have me an hour window from 1130am -1230pm. At 12:50pm I called, as no one has showed up. The guy that answered the phone didn't seem to care and said they can reschedule. I asked if I could have the number or email for their corporate office. Installation made easy and ocotillo flooring...both of them are filled with LIARS...I needed my backsplash done and refinish my kitchen island...Chrish came and gave an estimate of 3200$... I showed him a picture how I want my island to exactly look like and the sample backsplash. He took a photo a sample backsplash and island pictures. They scheduled after 2 months. First they finished the backsplash installation. After that one carpenter came I showed him the same island picture(the one I showed to the estimator). He said we need a few more products. (We were buying all the materials not included in the estimate). After he left the estimator Chrish called and said to refinish the island they need 900$ more. So, I asked him why...I showed the carpenter same picture as I showed you so why I have to pay 900$ more? He said I am lying or I forgot what I needed first...I think it's insane that he goes to 100 of people to give estimate hence I forgot what I wanted...where as I have to worry about only 1 project at my home. So when I told them I am not ready to give extra 900$ he said the backsplash installation is 2700$. As if they were going to do my island for only 500$...clearly he was lying...then they kept on calling several times from all 3 companies everyday...when I talked to the customer care they were so rude said what ever they want I have to pay because I signed the contract...other wise matter will be settled at court...clearly they were very habituated with that type of conversation. I bet they do that all the time with the customers. But nevertheless I had to pay 2700$. I wish I had done a little more research before finalizing this liar company. What they have done with me is nothing but extortion. They tiled the front side of my kitchen island. The ends were sharp...I have a son who is 1 year 4 months old...It was so hard to keep him safe. These happened in June. After that desert wall design did my kitchen island. he charged me 1200$. He got the maple wood shiplap and all the product necessary for that. So if you want to save yourself some money or some harassment do not ever hire installation made easy or Ocotillo flooring or any company referred by floor and decor. read more

I should have researched this first. Floor and Decor provides this company as an installer for their products. They have nothing to do with Floor and Decor and for a good reason, they don't want any liability. That being said the same if true for Instillation Made Ease. They pair you with installers and that prevents them from any liability too. The companies that they connect you with then subcontract out the work. I would agree that the actual installers are not contractor or even licensed to perform the work. I had a company paired and they bid the project and then began work after contract was signed. After numerous mistakes in the installation I am stuck with poorly installed tile and screws through my ceiling. My shower wall tiles don't line up, are out of level and have chips from poor cutting. I could have found better on Craigslist saving me thousands. Unfortunately I spent $8000 for the install and have subpar workmanship. I wish I could have given them a zero-star rating. I was recommended to this place by Floor and Decor in Sacramento (SHAME on Floor and Decor). The initial call was fine and they scheduled a contractor for a quote on tile for a bathroom remodel. I found out that they do not vet their contractors and the one they sent to use had very terrible reviews. I called back to them to request another contractor be sent and the customer service person was extremely rude, put me on hold for 10 minutes and then I hung up. Never again. read more

This place is nothing more than a scam. Unlicensed contractors, they do not stand behind the owner. Electrical and plumbing work done without license, county issue stop work order. They cut electric conduit inside wall left bare wires hanging behind shower wall. The new tiles literally fell off the wall. No permits were obtained, we were told they were not needed. Had to hire another contractor to tear out everything, rewrite, re plumb, every single thing had to be torn out and start new!! Materials, cabinetry, tile everything trash! Installations Made Easy did not care did nothing to repair damages. HSS / Home Service Store also same place made our life miserable for months! It was 11 months before I could finally get another contractor not yet done but hope to start and finish soon. Hi, As I said to you and IME there is no good reason to do destructive testing. Destructive testing will show adhesive, but will not show the quantity used. There are 5 gallons of adhesive on the floor.  There should be about 7 gallons. The simply math of 5 gallons time a maximum of 55 sqft/gallon equals 275 sqft of minimum coverage.  The floor is 323 sqft. Factorum stated falsely they opened and used adhesive out of the second 5 gallon bucket. I've sent you and IME a picture of the unopen second can. Floor and Decor refunded without question the full price for the second 5 gallon bucket. Floor and Decor would not refund a box of planks with 4 pieces taken out.  They certainly would not have taken an open bucket with 2 gallons missing. Someone named Carlos texted me several time trying to set a time for destructive testing.  I didn't know who he was or who he was with. I later learned that he is with a different IME authorized installer.  When I final got his phone number, I asked him if destructive testing would show the quantity used he said no.  When I aske who would fix the holes in the floor, I would have to buy adhesive, wood and find my own installer.   This is truly poor customer service. Amanda routinely returns my voicemail by acknowledging I called, then asked me to call her back.  She does not leave a response to the new information, just a request to call her.  This is telephone tag in a non-productive way.  The inability to reach her on a regular basis suggests they are overwhelmed with complaints. The last time I got lucky and actually talked to her, she promised her manager would call me.  A week has gone by with no call back. IME has enough information to order warranty repairs.  IME's insisting on a useless test is stalling. I can't stress enough how terrible this company is. Floor and Decor recommends this company (they're horrible too) It started off well with the estimate. They sent out Dragon Scale Flooring in Maryland. The manager, Mike seemed informative and gave me confidence that the job would be done efficiently and be done within ONE DAY. Everything after that was a nightmare and never ending. First of all, Floor and Decor hires designers that don't know the difference between quarter round and T-mold...and with that, don't have enough materials in stock. I felt like I was talking to someone that was hired 5 minutes ago and had no experience or knowledge about flooring whatsoever. Then, I had no idea that Dragon Scale would hire sub contractors from VIRGINIA which is hours away and I had to wait for them to arrive. They were always late. They took forever to get things done and I couldn't understand anything they said when I had questions. Things weren't complete within one day. It is now day 3 and they left without completing the job. They claimed they ran out of material. WHAT?! I was provided with a list of materials based on the measurements and thats what I ordered for them to pick up. I just dont get it. Poor communication, lack of empathy, unprofessional, time consuming, disrespectful, and the list goes on. Do yourself a favor and find a well known contractor with great reviews and references. Never use these guys. Like others, I learned of Installation Made Easy through Floor and Decor in Thornton Colorado. I went with them to install LVP flooring and a little bit of tile throughout our main level. Since I was removing all the old flooring and tile, I was told that they would be here on Thursday to start their work and it would take 3 days. Thursday morning came around and they didn't show up at the time they said. When I called Raymond, he said he would find out where they are at. He called me back and said that their van broke down and was trying to get another one, then said they would be here Friday to start. Then he called me back later that night saying that they had to order the starter for the van and it wouldn't be in until Saturday. He also said he was making a couple more calls to try to get someone to come out Friday but it would probably be Monday, the 4th before someone came instead of renting a van or figuring something out. That was the last I heard from him, no communication after that. I didn't want my family living in a house like that anymore so I started the flooring myself. Finally, on the 4th, another person from there called and said she had a message from Raymond stating that there was a crew scheduled for Tuesday morning. Since I had started the flooring, they couldn't pick off from where I left off so they were no help at all. They expected us to live with no furniture or anything on the main level and be completely fine with it. They have not tried to make anything correct at all. read more

If you enjoy hearing "I don't know, I don't work the contractor" you'll love working with this place. You pay them, you schedule with them, but any questions you have must go through the contractor. So calls that could be handled in one call now take two. Including waiting for the contractor to call you back. The people are nice enough on the phone. I think they're trying. But it's an unnecessary barrier between you and the contractor. read more

I scheduled a visit for someone from Installation Made Easy to come out and give an estimate on a project in need of repair. After arranging to have someone there at my house, the installer didn't show up.. .didn't call or text. Right before their main office closed for the evening, I received an email basically stating I had canceled and they wanted to know how to gain my business. What a bunch of crap. I never canceled. I called today (6/14/18) to see if I could get an explanation as to why no one showed, no answer. Left a message, no return call. I'm sure Floor and Decor have no ideal that they are recommending a company with such low regard to customer service. read more

Installation Made Easy said that someone would come out and look at our project in Truckee on a Sat. No one showed up. I called and they said that they were sending someone from Lincoln (1.5 hrs away) but the contractor was not able to make it. They claimed that they called and sent an e-mail to let us know but we did not receive either. I explained to the rep that Reno was only 20 mins from our house and asked why they were sending someone that was 1.5 hrs away. They said because that was "our area." I escalated my concern to a supervisor who called me back 2 hrs later and said he would look into it. The only response I received was a "canned" e-mail stating that their was not any available in "our area" that could work on our project. WHAT A SHAME that Floor & Decor uses such a horrible service. Floor & Decor is such a great place and so professional and to be associated with this company is not at all smart. FYI, I put my request out on Angie's List and got a response in 15 mins, called one of their recommendations in Reno and we have someone coming in 2 wks to do our project. read more

Step One, I trusted them, the company that Installation Made Easy recommended. I feel that since I am an Elderly lady that I was taken advantage of. I have a small place that I live in. And I hired them to do my tiling and floors. It was a nightmare. They broke my 7 year old copper water pipe, they never contained dust in my place, they said they would be done in less than a week almost a month without stove. They caused a gas leak and I have to buy a stove according to PGE. The owner never supervised his workers work. He said he was going to do the work. That was not true. His workers did not put any underlayment in the tiles or wood. This took almost two inches off my doors and closets. The baseboards were almost three inches and now they are Five inches needed which makes the wall look shorter in a 7.5 feet of ceilings. They made me buy all the materials and I did it because I trusted them. In fact, the hardieBacker Board that could have easily been used under the tile floor they told me to return it.
